Ontario is reporting close to 3,300 new cases of COVID-19 as virus-related hospitalizations approach 1,200 in the province.

Provincial health officials logged 3,270 new cases of the disease caused by the novel coronavirus today, up from the 2,964 confirmed on Sunday but down from the record 3,363 reported last week.

Here are the Canadian politicians facing questions over travel amid COVID-19 restrictions

As Canadians were urged to stay indoors and limit holiday celebrations to members of their households, a growing number of politicians across Canada have admitted to travelling outside the country despite pandemic restrictions.

Federal and provincial politicians alike have come under fire — or drawn rebuke from their leaders — for choosing to leave Canada as COVID-19 cases continue to climb in parts of the country.

There’s something peculiar about the vandalism at Pelosi’s house

There’s something peculiar about the vandalism at Pelosi’s house

An ugly story emerged on New Year’s Day: Vandals had attacked Nancy Pelosi’s San Francisco house, leaving behind graffiti on her garage complaining about the stimulus bill, along with a pig’s head in a puddle of red paint. People less credulous than the media, though, noticed that the vandals were kind enough to do their dirty deed without touching the brick facing on Pelosi’s house. These may have been polite vandals, or there may be more here than meets the eye.

What a ‘Green New Deal’ Will Look Like

And what it will mean for the everyday lives of Americans.

In light of the strong probability that a Biden administration will soon take office in the White House, Americans must prepare for the cold reality that one of Joe Biden’s foremost objectives will be to fulfill his party’s pledge to “decarbonize the power sector” by implementing “all zero-carbon technologies.” Toward that end, the Democrats will seek to enact a “Green New Deal,” the highly prized centerpiece of their environmental agenda. What, exactly, will that mean for the everyday lives of Americans.

The Bill Is Coming Due for China’s ‘Capitalist’ Experiment

The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) has re-awoken to a profound truth: Rich, secure capitalists are the natural enemies of authoritarian regimes. In a hybrid autocratic-capitalist model, capitalism is the means to generate wealth, but power is the end goal. Successful capitalists naturally begin to demand that their personal and property rights be protected from authoritarian fiat. Capital in the hands of entrepreneurs is a political resource; it poses a threat to the implementation of centralized plans.

Biographer slams Prince Harry for following Meghan Markle’s ‘woke’ ways

Prince Harry’s biographer has accused the royal of “meekly” following wife Meghan Markle’s “woke” ways — tossing his “life as an action man to become an airy-fairy do-gooder.”

Angelia Levin said in an op-ed for the Sunday Telegraph that while Markle “has blossomed back in her native” California, Harry “has become a shadow of the prince I once knew.”

“Of course, he would not be the first man to be besotted with a beautiful woman with a different agenda that he then meekly adopts as his own,” Levin wrote, insisting Harry “seems to accept being second to Meghan.”

The Salt That Has Lost Its Savor: The Woke Church and the Undoing of America

If abortion, infanticide, violence in our streets, election-rigging, and the evils of Marxism aren’t enough to rouse some churches, for what purpose do they exist?

When editors at The American Spectator asked me to write a column for their exceptional magazine about the liberalization of the American church in the age of Black Lives Matter, Antifa, and what parades as social justice, I liked the idea. My mind had been ranging over that ground for some months, and their call was confirmation that the idea was worth pursuing. But rather than an article addressing that topic in merely impersonal, philosophical terms, I suggested giving it a face: Pastor Timothy Keller.

Woke BBC Viewers Deride ‘Grease‘ as ‘Racist, Rapey, and Homophobic‘

Some UK viewers who caught the BBC’s airing of the classic hit 1970s musical Grease over Christmas were aghast at its content, slamming the John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John-starring musical as an affront to their sensibilities.

Forty-two years after its cinema release, the movie was met with damning critiques from some calling it “misogynistic,” “rapey,” and encouraging “slut-shaming” amongst a host of other putdowns.

The Manufactured Consent of the Elites

The Manufactured Consent of the Elites

The film is a critique of social status both in the West and the East, but it is also a wake-up call about the manufactured consent of elite journalism.

Juxtaposed with passages from George Orwell’s 1945 allegorical novella Animal Farm, “Mr. Jones” tells the story of the real-life Gareth Jones, a Welsh journalist who uncovered the horror of the Holodomor, Ukraine’s great famine of 1932-1933. If we are to believe that “all animals are equal, but some animals are more equal than others,” it makes sense that Jones would have been hunted down in Ukraine and discredited in the West. To this day, Gareth Jones remains an obscure figure.

Two Liberal MPs resign from government roles after traveling abroad amid coronavirus

Two Liberal MPs have resigned from their government and House of Commons roles after admitting to recently traveling overseas despite strict travel restrictions due to the spread of the coronavirus.

I think they’re talking about Canada.

Trump reportedly urges Raffensperger to ‘find’ 11,000 votes to give him Georgia

Trump reportedly urges Raffensperger to ‘find’ 11,000 votes to give him Georgia

President Trump isn’t giving up on Georgia, reportedly telling Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger to find the votes needed to overturn the state in his favor.

Trump reiterated claims that election integrity was undermined in Georgia, prompting its 16 electoral votes to go to President-elect Joe Biden, according to audio released by the Washington Post. Trump reportedly accused Raffensperger, a fellow Republican, of knowing what was happening but not doing anything about it.

“You should want to have an accurate election. And you’re a Republican,” Trump allegedly said in a call to Raffensperger and Ryan Germany, a general counsel in the secretary of state’s office. “… You know what they did, and you’re not reporting it. That’s a criminal offense, and you can’t let that happen. That’s a big risk.”

LA activists call for arrest of ‘Soho Karen’ in march to police station

Civil-rights activists marched on a Los Angeles police station over the weekend calling for the arrest of “Soho Karen,” the woman who falsely accused a black teen of stealing her cell phone in Manhattan last month.

The protesters assembled outside the LAPD’s North Hollywood Police Station on Saturday demanding the arrest of Miya Ponsetto, who has been laying low in California since the Dec. 26 incident, according to New York’s ABC-7.

Ponsetto shot to viral infamy when video emerged of her going off on 14-year-old Keyon Harrold Jr. in the lobby of Soho’s Arlo Hotel.

This is over the top, but then so is she evidently – New details emerge about ‘Soho Karen’ Miya Ponsetto’s penchant for going berserk in hotels
