One section of the report, citing feedback from “some black students,” said that there were “linguistic concerns about Black being associated with negative expressions” such as “blackmail” and “black sheep.” The document described the terms as “divisive and not inclusive.”

But the pandemic created a new kind of precarity in America. From March 1 to August 31, just 3.2 percent of all donation campaigns went toward medical bills. Demand grew so much for other needs that GoFundMe announced a new fundraising category: Rent, Food, and Monthly Bills.

Transgender Church of England minister who was born female reports conservative Christian to the police for branding his marriage to a woman ‘evil and wicked’

A transgender Christian minister who appeared in a film promoting more LGBTQ tolerance in the church has reported an evangelical Christian over an alleged hate crime.

The Reverend Alex Clare-Young of the United Reformed Church was registered as female at birth but now identifies as a man.

Ontario reports 1746 new cases of Covid

The number of new COVID-19 cases in Ontario surpassed 1,700 once again today as the test positivity rate and rolling seven-day average continue to rise in the province.

Ontario health officials reported 1,746 new infections today, up slightly from the 1,708 confirmed one day prior but down from the record 1,855 recorded on Friday.

‘Israeli’ assassination squad ‘used a remote-control machine gun’ to kill Iran’s nuclear chief say Iranian sources

Iran’s top nuclear scientist Mohsen Fakhrizadeh was killed using a remote controlled machine gun left inside a car which then blew up, sources within the country have claimed.

Fakhrizadeh was shot at least three times by the gun, positioned in a Nissan pickup that was parked alongside the road he was travelling on, before it blew up, the semi-official Fars News Agency reported.

The details emerged as Iran held a funeral for the slain scientist, known as the father of the country’s nuclear programme, in Tehran on Monday – where leaders continued to vow revenge for his killing.
