Late-term abortions are being performed in Canada without a serious medical reason

In 2013, former longtime Liberal MP Dr. Carolyn Bennett, in a terse letter to the National Post, said no doctor in Canada can terminate a pregnancy after 24 weeks unless the mother’s life is at risk or the fetus has serious complications.

“The assertion that late-term abortions can be performed ‘for any reason, or no reason at all’ is just not true,” wrote Bennett, who challenged a columnist to find a single late-term abortion performed in Canada “to a healthy mother with a healthy fetus.”

It’s Time to Close Religious Arbitration Centers and Outlaw Sharia for Good

The cornerstone of the American project is the principle of justice administered under the Rule of Law.

Our civic allegiance is not to a monarch, a tribal leader, a church canon, or any specific religious doctrine, but to the Constitution and the rich legal system that flows from the Western tradition.

This essential truth has been under threat from an abhorrent and highly destructive development, which has been exacerbated in recent decades by the challenges of mass migration and failed assimilation policies: the proliferation of private religious arbitration centers, most commonly known as Sharia Councils.

Bank of Canada will regulate a Canadian ‘stablecoin.’ But just how stable will it be?

Canada is moving with what could be called urgent caution as stablecoin goes mainstream.

Stablecoin is a type of cryptocurrency, or digital dollar, which has stability as perhaps its greatest asset. Bitcoin, Ethereum and other cryptocurrencies are notoriously volatile.

Stablecoin, by contrast, is backed by real assets — cash or high-quality liquid assets — and is pegged one-to-one to a currency or commodity, often the U.S. dollar, the world’s reserve currency.

It will be just stable enough for the Laurentian elites to profit handsomely before it crashes and the tax payers are left holding the bag.

Iran Is Building a Missile Empire, the World Looks Away

Little attention is being paid to Iran in the aftermath of the 12‑Day War, but the threat it now poses is growing significantly. While global focus has shifted to other crises, Iran has rapidly and aggressively been accelerating its ballistic missile production at the speed of light. The Iranian regime is proudly announcing its manufacture of vast quantities of missiles, expanding assembly lines, and is openly boasting about its growing arsenal. Iran is not concealing these developments; it is bragging about them. The regime, despite a crippling drought, appears to feel emboldened, empowered, and determined.

Ontario’s representative in Washington says he’s signed his Christmas card to U.S. Ambassador to Canada Pete Hoekstra, and hopes the two are moving forward after an altercation last month.

“I’ve met Ambassador Hoekstra several times, I actually kind of like the guy,” David Paterson told CTV Question Period host Vassy Kapelos in an interview airing Sunday. “He’s different.”

“I’ve had people use salty language with me before, I don’t get too upset about it,” he added. “I don’t say anything back, as I say, my mom taught me better.”

‘Lost Canadians’ legislation is now law, aims to fix citizenship rule

The “Lost Canadians” legislation, which aims to fix Canada’s unconstitutional citizenship, received royal assent Thursday after being approved by the Senate on Wednesday.

The term “Lost Canadians” refers to people who were born outside of the country to Canadian parents who were also born in another country.

In 2009, the Conservative federal government changed the law so that Canadians born abroad could only pass down their citizenship if their child was born in Canada.
