‘Preposterous’: Biden admin extends liability protection to COVID-19 vaccine manufacturers

The Biden Department of Health and Human Services has extended liability protection to COVID-19 vaccine manufacturers and administrators through Dec. 31, 2029, precluding vaccine recipients who reportedly end up injured or their surviving family members from holding those responsible to account.

Kim Mack Rosenberg, general counsel for Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s Children’s Health Defense, called the decision from the outgoing administration “very concerning,” not only because it protects pharmaceutical companies and the government but because it “allows for largely unfettered product development.”

Mars Next and “All of the Above”

As the next administration takes shape, countless voices are vying for influence over the future of America’s space program. I’d wager one in particular — someone apparently very close to the President-elect — might be suggesting a bold new direction: “Sir. Forget racing China to the moon,” Elon Musk may be saying. “We’re almost ready with Starship. Announce we’ll launch humans to Mars by 2029 — the Apollo anniversary. You’ll go down in history! You’ll be as big as Kennedy!”

If I had that access, it’s exactly what I’d be saying.

Canadian Doctor Fights for Free Speech at Supreme Court Over Covid Censorship

A Canadian doctor who was censored for discussing Covid topics during the pandemic is taking her legal battle to the country’s Supreme Court, in a bid to have free speech restrictions imposed on her finally removed.

Dr. Kulvinder Kaur Gill made the decision after the Ontario Court of Appeal ruled to uphold three “cautions” she received for tweets opposing what she considered to be harmful Covid lockdowns, published in August 2020.

These cautions were issued by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO) in February 2021. The state’s medical regulator in 2020 warned medical professionals that the opinions they express should be in line with whatever the government or public health institutions decide is the correct information.

That included lockdowns, which Gill openly criticized early on, and continues to believe were ineffective in dealing with the pandemic. Besides her opinion, Gill also offered what her legal counsel says is “ample evidence” to CPSO to support her stance on the ineffectiveness of lockdowns.

Corrupt Media Obsess Over Luigi Mangione After Memory Holing Trump’s Would-Be Assassins

Legacy media has shown a rare burst of old-fashioned reporting chops, digging deep into the life of Luigi Mangione, 26, who grew up in an $800,000 Towson, Maryland, home, had a wealthy real estate mogul grandfather, and suffered from back pain made worse after he went surfing in Hawaii and again when he slipped on a piece of paper, according to an ABC News report. Mangione was the 2016 valedictorian at the Gilman School in Baltimore, a private boys’ school with current tuition of nearly $38,000. The details are plentiful and the digging continues.

Rich kids are fascinating. Murder is fascinating. Manhunts are fascinating. Check, check, check. It’s like catnip to readers. And bonus, Luigi Mangione is, well of course we can’t say it, but folks have noticed: he happens to be good looking. And something about health insurance? His platform is not super clear. But health insurance is important, and way too expensive. The all-knowing media can fill in the gaps on that issue.

Immigration minister plans reforms to asylum system to stop it being ‘gamed’

Federal Immigration Minister Marc Miller says he’s eyeing changes to Canada’s asylum system “that could potentially address” people who take advantage of the Safe Third Country Agreement.

Under the revised deal, Canada and the United States can turn away people who cross from one country into another through unofficial points of entry and try to claim asylum within 14 days. Until early 2023, the agreement only applied to official points of entry and did not include a 14-day rule.

Immigration lawyers and refugee advocates say the change has forced people to make more dangerous choices, like rely on human smugglers to bring them across the border in undetected ways, and to remain hidden until two weeks pass in order to make an asylum claim.

In an interview with the leftwing National Catholic Reporter, Pelosi was asked about a 2022 letter from San Francisco Archbishop Salvatore Cordileone, in which the archbishop said he would no longer allow her to receive the sacrament of the Eucharist in his archdiocese because of her pro-abortion advocacy.

“I received Communion anyway. That’s his problem, not mine,” Pelosi said.
