In another big setback for the nation’s efforts to stamp out the coronavirus, scientists who studied a big COVID-19 outbreak in Massachusetts concluded that vaccinated people who got so-called breakthrough infections carried about the same amount of the coronavirus as those who did not get the shots.
Good grief. Even Breitbart is leaving out the facts about Delta: for most people the symptoms are like having a mild cold.
COVID-19 has shone a light on a fundamental divide within Canada: the growing government bureaucracy and those forced to pay for it.
This contrast is illustrated by Statistics Canada’s latest jobs report. The private sector, including those who are self-employed, has shed 520,400 jobs since COVID-19 hit us, while the number of government jobs across the country has increased by 180,000.
Of those new government jobs, 52,900 are public administration bureaucrats.
A Republican senator has introduced a bill that would require the White House to disclose the censorship requests it sends to Facebook and other social media companies. The introduction of the bill follows a revelation that the White House was flagging posts promoting COVID misinformation on Facebook.
Don’t they know the US government is above the law?
More than 500 people marched through downtown Ottawa on Saturday, calling for an independent investigation into Canada’s residential schools.
NDP MPs Mumilaaq Qaqqaq and Charlie Angus organized the “March for Truth and Justice” on Parliament Hill and in downtown Ottawa.
In a post on Instagram, Qaqqaq, the MP for Nunvaut, said the march will “demand an independent investigation into Canada’s crimes against Indigenous Peoples. Enough is enough: (Prime Minister) Justin Trudeau and (Minister of Justice) David Lametti need to stop making excuses and ensure that we have a special prosecutor.”
This past weekend, New York Times columnist Maureen Dowd added another column to the myriad irrational and hysterical pieces about the “existential threat” climate change allegedly poses to human life.
As I do after almost every piece I read on the internet, I read comments submitted by readers.
One provided me with an epiphany.
It was a comment submitted by New York Times reader “Sophia” of Bangor, Maine:
“I have one child, a daughter, who told me age 8 that she would never have a child because of global warming. She’s now 34 and has never changed her mind. So I will not experience a grandchild. For her wisdom, I am grateful. I would be heartsick if I did have a grandchild who would have to experience the onslaught of changing climate.”
After federal COVID-19 modelling showed that the fall could bring about yet another surge in COVID-19 cases with the Delta variant spreading rapidly, doctors say that the best way to avoid a fourth wave is to vaccinate, test, trace and isolate.
Canada’s Chief Public Health Officer, Dr. Theresa Tam, released modelling on Friday that indicates cases are beginning to rise as a result of the more contagious Delta variant, but there is still time to flatten the curve.

Interestingly enough, while all of these countries are protesting, mainly because these tyrannical vaccine passports have already been passed as though they are law, the united States remains relatively quiet. Yet, here are millions worldwide protesting the lies and the tyranny of their corrupt governments.

The Trudeau government is proposing the creation of a Digital Safety Commission that will have the power to regulate “harmful online content.” The government is targeting online platforms such as Facebook, Twitter and Pornhub.
In the Liberals’ world, expressing a politically incorrect opinion is as much a crime as exploiting a child or publishing nonconsensual intimate images.
Cultural Action Party will not deny that we spend an inordinate amount of time predicting doom and gloom for “traditional” Canadian society. On the positive side, at least we express an opinion on the future of our country– a practice wholly eschewed by establishment media.
Herein lies the rub– in the name of the protection of the public, the rights and freedoms of Canadians are being incrementally stripped away.
The idea that public interest is the impetus for Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s internet censorship legislation is a misnomer. The protection is surely directed toward the Liberal government itself.
Just yesterday, we discussed the censoring of a commentator by Twitter for merely expressing an opinion over the need for a “pause” on any federal mandates on Covid-19 as new research is studied. Now, a former New York Times science reporter, Alex Berenson, has been suspended for simply citing the results from a clinical trial by Pfizer and raising questions over any vaccine mandate. In the meantime, the White House accused both the Washington Post and New York Times of irresponsible reporting on Covid, but surprisingly Twitter has not suspended those accounts. It is the license of the censor. Twitter is unwilling to let people read or discuss viewpoints that it disagrees with as a corporation. Many on the left, however, have embraced the concept of corporate speech and censorship. It turns out that the problem with censorship for many was the failure to censor views that they opposed. With the “right” censors at work, the free speech concerns have been set aside.
Accomplished scholar and author Amity Shlaes sees history as an important tool to learn from the past and its mistakes and believes it is the job of historians like her to remind Americans of that history.
“Research suggests that government works less well than we imagine, and the private sector, better,” Shlaes told the Daily Caller News Foundation.
The research, published Friday afternoon by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, is the latest sign that people who are fully vaccinated may need to return to mask wearing, social distancing and other mitigation measures as the more infectious delta variant tears through the U.S.
Drilling down on these numbers reveals that 208,000 will qualify for Canada’s family reunification category. Under Canadian immigration policy, “family” refers to the following:
Spouses, same sex partners, common law partners, conjugal partners, children. parents, grandparents, brothers, sisters, nephews, nieces, grand-daughters, grand-sons.
A further 121,500 will enter Canada as refugees. The Resettlement Assistance Program provides these services during the first four to six weeks after clients get to Canada.
So proud of you, Canada. An example to the world.

A Christian church in Canada, whose doors were locked by health officials for breaking COVID rules, is facing $85,000 in new fines, but a judge agreed Tuesday to allow them to open so long as they post a COVID safety “plan” inside their building.
“The other elders owe $7,500 each, and the church itself owes $35,000. The judge will review the Ministry of the Attorney General’s legal costs and then order us to pay legal costs at a later date. So in total we owe $85,000 plus legal costs,” wrote Pastor Jacob Reaume of Trinity Bible Chapel located in Waterloo, Ontario, in a July 27 note.
As cities across the US reject legalized heroin injection sites and needle exchanges, the Rhode Island General Assembly has passed legislation to open the first injection sites in the US. The bill would authorize a two-year pilot program to create harm reduction centers, which is another term for heroin injection sites.

New South Wales Police Commissioner Mick Fuller requested the support of 300 soldiers to ensure greater compliance with Covid restrictions. Let’s rephrase that to what it really should read: the head of punishments on the plantation of New South Wales has called in 3oo more enforcers to ensure the slaves remain obedient and compliant to their masters.
Finance Minister Chrystia Freeland says the government is extending pandemic aid programs by an extra month beyond the previously planned end date.
The decision means that wage and rent subsidies for businesses, and income support for workers out of a job or who need to take time off to care for family or stay home sick, will last until Oct. 23.
