Jewish Students Reported a Professor for Anti-Semitism. Their University Retaliated Against Them.

Lara Sheehi smeared students who challenged her anti-Israel statements, watchdog says

On the first day of classes last fall, a psychology professor asked students in one of George Washington University’s required diversity courses to share their names and identities. The professor went around the room “affirming” each student’s introduction, until one student said she was born in Israel.

The writing is on the wall, the Kumbaya Kool-Aid Drinkers have no one to blame but themselves.

Barbara Kay: The concerning disconnect between how older and younger Jews view the State of Israel

My generation of Ashkenazi Jews rejoiced in the miracle of Israel’s rebirth, a fragile phoenix rising from the ashes of the crematoria. Our pride and attachment never dimmed. But for many of our more or less assimilated children and grandchildren, Israel’s power is all they see — not, as we did, her embattled route to it. Idealistic but naive, a significant number of post-boomer Jews accept the false narrative of the political left that Israel is a uniquely oppressive, “apartheid” state. Israel embarrasses them.

Jew-Hate at American Universities

As Jews were hounded out of German universities in the 1930s, where would you have stood? Many of us would like to think we would have found the moral and if necessary physical courage to stand up for our fellow students rather than see them persecuted, bullied, abused and thrown out. Well, now we can actually put our courage to the test as before our eyes we see a re-run of an almost identical pattern of antisemitism — this time at American colleges, with a similar picture at universities in Britain and elsewhere in the West.

A new study by the antisemitism watchdog Amcha Initiative documents a pervasive, relentless assault on Jewish identity at US universities.

Let’s take a look at antisemitism in New York City

The numbers are staggering and it is no surprise to see the makeup of the perpetrators. When will Jewish organizations wake up?

64% of Assaults on NY Jews Were Carried out by Blacks.

17% of Assaults on NY Jews Were Carried out by Muslims.

10% of Assaults on NY Jews were Carried out by Hispanics.

Only 3% were carried out by Whites.

And yet, in a growing display of woke delusion, major American Jewish organizations have been bending over backward protecting the very sectors of American society that contain the vast majority of anti-Jewish hate criminals.

The New Nazis are on the march

LIKE most Jewish children, I had extensive Holocaust education, making it easy for me to spot parallels with the New Nazis foisting medical and climate change fascism on to us. I also experienced at first hand the fascism of apartheid policy in South Africa.

Before March 2020, we were encouraged to make comparisons with history’s monsters such as Adolf Hitler and his Nazis. But today’s New Nazis, a depraved mix of the United Nations (UN), Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation (BMGF), World Economic Forum (WEF), Chinese Communist Party (CCP), public health officials, pharmaceutical companies, social media giants, mainstream media and politicians, have cleverly sidestepped such comparisons by claiming both the moral high ground and control over world health. Consequently, all that has been abnormal these past two and a half years is normalised, the ultimate end game appearing to be UN Agenda 2030.

The new, new antisemitism

The old antisemitism was more a right-wing than a left-wing phenomenon – perhaps best personified by the now-withered Ku Klux Klan.

A new antisemitism followed from the campus leftism of the 1960s. It arose from and was masked by a general hatred of Israel, following the Jewish state’s incredible victory in the 1967 Six-Day War.

That lopsided triumph globally transformed Israel in the leftist mind from a David fighting the Arab Goliath into a veritable Western imperialist, neocolonialist overdog.

On campuses, Middle-East activism, course instruction, and faculty profiles are now virulently anti-Israel – and indistinguishable from anti-Jewishness.

And remember folks, the perps are always white supremacists! Even when they’re black and or Muslim!

Black America’s Anti-Semitism Problem

An academic paper explores the character and sources of black anti-Semitism

From Kanye West endorsing Hitler to Kyrie Irving inviting followers to watch a documentary about how blacks are the true Jews, anti-Semitism from prominent black figures has been in the news. A recent study explores the phenomenon of black anti-Semitism more broadly, ruling out popular explanations—and excuses—for its frequency.

Black anti-Semitism is nothing new. It has appeared in the works of black intellectuals since at least the early-20th-century black nationalist Marcus Garvey, as Elliot Kaufman observed in Commentary, and defined politics in New York City—the American metropolis where blacks and Jews most often rub shoulders—for generations.

Jews in Belgium, Jews in America – things have changed

I Recently came across a fascinating book, “Before It’s Too Late – A Love Letter to my daughters and America” by Eric Rozenberg, a Belgian Jew who moved to the United States with his wife and children largely due to increased antisemitism.

His heartfelt, deeply personal book tells the history – in very personal terms – of antisemitism in Europe, and events his family felt and witnessed in Belgium. He then describes his current day fears in the United States – from BDS and college campuses to antisemitism from all sides of the political spectrum.

This book seems ominious in its release date given the rise in antisemitism in the US of late.

Photo taken by rabbi’s wife in 1931 symbolising Jewish defiance of the Nazis comes home

When she used her compact camera to capture the view from her window in the German city of Kiel one December afternoon in 1931, Rosi Posner was doing more than just taking a snapshot. In the foreground is a brass menorah, the candlestick used to mark the Jewish festival of Hanukah; in the near background, the chilling image of a swastika flag flying prominently from the Nazi headquarters that had opened up opposite her flat earlier that year.

Avi Benlolo: Silence, as antisemitism abounds at U of T Faculty of Medicine

… But here in Toronto, a new important academic paper published in the Canadian Medical Education Journal by an insider at the Temerty Faculty of Medicine (TFOM) at the University of Toronto (U of T), has yet to mobilize our leaders into some-kind of serious action. Dr. Ayelet Kuper, an associate professor in the department of medicine, spent a year as senior advisor on antisemitism in the faculty. During that time, she detailed an incredible level of antisemitism among her professional colleagues that should warrant an investigation.

You’ve been marginalized in the victim hierarchy by mass immigration, multiculturalism & diversity Avi.

Some votes matter more than others.

As of 2021, Statistics Canada listed 335,295 adherents to the Jewish religion in Canada

After Christianity, Islam was the second most commonly reported religion in Canada in 2021, with nearly 1.8 million, or 1 in 20, people.

In 20 years, the share of the Muslim population in Canada has more than doubled—up from 2.0% in 2001 to 4.9% in 2021.

University of Toronto medical school report reveals the shameful realities of antisemitism today

Imagine being afraid to see a doctor. Not because of a deep-seated irrational fear or bad previous experience or because you are worried about a diagnosis … but because of what you’ve heard some doctors at the local medical school say about people like you.

In 2021, Ayelet Kuper, an Israeli-born Canadian physician and scientist, was appointed senior adviser on antisemitism by the Temerty Faculty of Medicine (TFOM) at the University of Toronto. The position was created in response to reports of increasing antisemitism affecting Jewish students, staff and faculty.

The realization that most of the anti-Semitism in Canada starts at the top must be frustrating to some.

Gone are the easy days when our betters could blame “white supremacists” a typically poor and uneducated fringe in Canada.

Nowadays the most dangerous anti-Semites pack the institutional power of our universities and government.

LPC and NDP MP’s hosted a Palestinian solidarity shindig that had no less than 3 anti-Semites in attendance. They blamed it on poor screening or some such nonsense, I bet Laith Marouf would have been welcomed with open arms had he shown his face.

And let’s not fail to mention the role our immigration and multiculturalism policy has played in all this.

Much of Canada’s resurgent anti-Semitism was imported and has taken root aided and abetted by our elite’s cynical exploitation of identity politics.

Diversity is anti-Semitism’s strength.

This blog made its bones calling out Islamist hate & anti-Semitism.

While lauded by some for those efforts I was labeled a racist Islamophobe by many on the Liberal-Left for the simple act of pointing out the facts. Right Bernie?

Fear the resurgence but also the silent voices.

Teach your children well much?

‘Black People are the real Jews’

The Jewish presence in the civil right movements has been erased from black history. The Jews have erased their own history.

Black Hebrew Israelites are getting the attention that they didn’t when they spent decades screaming antisemitic and racist slurs in urban centers, killed four people in two separate attacks in New York and New Jersey (one that took place on Chanukah) and provoked the Covington Catholic incident.

That last one led to the New York Times defending the racist hate group as “sidewalk ministers” who practice “tough love” in “blunt and sometimes offensive language.” Examples of that include, “The Holocaust is a damn joke! Heil Hitler!” and “The messiah, who is a black man, is going to kill you”.

GOLDSTEIN: Shocking anti-Semitism at University of Toronto’s medical school: report

… Kuper said she was repeatedly told by some staff and students within TFOM that “Zionists” and “Zionism” — support of a Jewish homeland in Israel — “means various racist and hateful things, ranging from ‘hating all Muslims’ to ‘wanting to murder all Palestinians’. Such false definitions are then used to justify hatred of any Jews who ‘admit’ to being Zionists …

“I’ve been told by colleagues that being born in Israel and refusing to denounce the existence of my place of birth as a Jewish state means that I am inherently racist and that any discrimination I encounter as a Jew in Canada is therefore deserved.

That sounds very multicultural and diverse. U of T must be well strengthened.

Pats on the back all round to those who drank the Kool-Aid and invited this here.

Congrats. It will only get worse.

Trudeau Liberals can’t stop attracting antisemites

The Trudeau government has been finding it a lot harder to avoid keeping company with and giving money to terror enthusiasts and antisemites than recent scandals would suggest. Whatever it is that’s going on here it’s not just a laxity in “vetting.”

Last week, the Canada-Palestine Parliamentary Friendship Group drew unwelcome attention to itself when it was revealed that publisher Nazih Khatatba, whose newspaper al-Meshwar is notorious for such indecencies as referring to the Holocaust as the “Holohoax” and claiming that Jewish bankers financed the Nazi Party, was one of the guests in attendance.

Pay attention.

It’s not going to get better.

The “Canada-Palestine Parliamentary Friendship Group” means that anti-Semitism and it’s attendant requirement to destroy Israel has been institutionalized.

The Identity Politics game means that some will win and some will lose.

It’s just a numbers game. All our mainstream political parties play it.

Islam is ascendant. Judaism in decline.

It’s too late to jump off the multicult bandwagon.

What were you thinking when you hopped on to begin with?
