Emotions are running so high among Democrats these days that I have created a bookmark folder labeled “Democrat Hate.”
I know that this shocks you because it is common knowledge that Democrats are dedicated to peace, love, and compassion. The voting base is filled with people almost indistinguishable from Mahatma Gandhi, Mother Teresa, and Martin Luther King, but one or two have gone off the rails a bit, it seems.
In 2018, I wrote a piece here at Bearing Arms about the dangers of the mob going after ideological opponents. At the time, left-leaning mobs were hounding any Republican they could find out and about, even if they were just trying to eat a meal. I was actually looking for something else I was sure I wrote here and stumbled on it, but it sort of felt important to look at it a bit in light of what we’re currently seeing all around us.
New Orleans’ Mardi Gras festival celebrates weirdness, but among the costumes, masks and bacchanalian partying, one newcomer at this year’s festivities was not welcome.
During one parade, five Tesla Cybertrucks transporting the event’s marshals were incessantly booed, surrounded and pelted with beer cans, rubbish and a barrage of Mardi Gras necklace beads.
Despite their tough reputation, two of the vehicles’ windows were cracked.

No, I don’t expect Leftists to begin trying to blow up airplanes or skyscrapers–well, maybe smaller buildings and businesses–but I have been thinking about the strategy behind the leftist low-level terrorism campaign against conservatives, and there may be a similarity between al Qaeda’s strategy to defeat the West and Leftists’.
Five conservative influencers have been swatted in recent days, as Democrats ramp up their invectives against President Donald Trump and DOGE chief Elon Musk amid their work to downsize the government and eliminate waste, fraud and abuse.
Swatting is a form of domestic terrorism where someone makes a false report to emergency services, often targeting a political opponent, leading to a police Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) team or other law enforcement response at the victim’s location. The malicious tactic can and has led to fatalities.

Some truths do not care if you are liberal or conservative. Two plus two still equals four no matter which side of the aisle you sit on. Gravity will pull Republicans and Democrats downwards at the same rate.
Some psychological truths are equally impartial. All people everywhere want their lives to have meaning. All people everywhere feel the need to fit in. If you do not have those things, you will likely be unhappy. That is true whether you voted for Trump or Harris.
However, those same immutable truths may be better grasped by one side than the other. If liberals were especially good at math, it would not change the underlying principles of addition — but it might be worth asking why liberals were so good at it.
As reported yesterday, left-wing propaganda outlet MSNBC made significant changes to their programming slate. Most notably, the network canceled The ReidOut, the prime-time vehicle for bitter race arsonist Joy Reid. It was unclear whether she’d come on for a farewell broadcast. But at 7PM Eastern time, we had our answer. Farewell, indeed.

We at NewsBusters have often explained that “public” broadcasters like NPR pay reporters to be “Extremism” correspondents, but strangely, the ideological spectrum seems to go from the “far right” extreme to some sort of center-left. They cannot seem to acknowledge with the slightest fraction of honesty that there is any identifiable or newsworthy extremism on the Left.
One new Exhibit A comes from NPR’s “Public Editor” Kelly McBride. In a February 20 article on “News Literacy,” she attempted to explain how the taxpayer-funded radio network deploys their correspondents on the “extremism” beat.

Five years ago, it looked as if the racial and ethnic make-up of America was undergoing an unprecedented shift, with a large drop in the number of people classified as ‘white’.
The US Census Bureau’s 2020 tally showed a 276 percent jump in the number of multiracial people, while the white-only group fell from 72.4 percent of the population to 61.6 percent over that decade.
Now, it seems, this shift had more to do with how federal government demographers classified people than any actual changes in the make-up of the 331,449,281 people recorded in the census.
And their misery demands company — ours.
Recently another poll revealed America’s most known political fact: Liberals are miserable. The samplings change but the conclusions don’t. Yet as confirmed as leftist misery is, its cause is missed: cognitive dissonance.
The latest polling by the Institute for Family Studies found that only 12 percent of young liberal women were completely satisfied with life. Contrastingly, young conservative women were three times more likely to be completely satisfied. Further, IFS observed: “And consistent with previous research, the effect of ideology on young women’s happiness held up to controls for age, education, race, and income.”
The 26-year-old suspect accused of gunning down UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson on a midtown Manhattan street last year, Luigi Mangione, has released his first public statement since his arrest.

Leftist MEPs from Slovenia and Croatia are protesting an exhibition in the European Parliament (EP) to commemorate the victims of the Foibe massacres around the city of Trieste at the end of the Second World War—conducted by communist Yugoslav partisans.
The exhibition was presented to mark the 80th anniversary of the massacres which also saw its memorial site in Basovizza, Italy, vandalized by (presumably) Slovene perpetrators ahead of the official commemoration a few days ago.

In his recent speech at the World Economic Forum’s annual meeting in Davos, Argentine President Javier Milei delivered an urgent plea against the postmodern Left. He did so not in his usual punk rock tone but with calm aplomb: “Woke ideology is the cancer that must be removed.” And he celebrated Donald Trump’s determination to be America’s surgeon. Many attendees lowered their heads because they have been the promoters of these ideas for years. Milei had gone to the woke temple to humiliate them. What does it all mean for the future of the Left?
It happens a lot: You’ll hear about a new movie or TV show with a really cool, totally original premise, but alas, the writers and actors fumbled the football in the execution. The first few minutes are promising, but you quickly realize that the script’s premise far exceeded the participants’ talents.
