The news media picked up on the Nashville massacre and immediately blamed it on the state Legislature, which led to a riot in the state capitol for … gun control.

Aaron Hillegass attended New College of Florida as an undergraduate, had a successful career as a software engineer, and returned to the school this January to teach in its new data science program. But there was one problem for him: Florida governor Ron DeSantis.
Hillegass believes that DeSantis’s democratically approved higher-education reforms are a form of “fascism” and that the new slate of conservative trustees at New College, including me, are dangerous “sycophants” and “chuckleheads” who have “terrified the students and faculty.” Hillegass has been teaching at New College for only three months, but the reforms—designed to improve the struggling college, which ranks dead-last on Florida’s state performance metrics—were too much.
The mob is on the march and it brings with it all its inevitable hatred, violence and persecution.
“Woke mob” used to refer to a group of fairly annoying, innocuous people united in support of social justice ideology, cancel culture, trans rights and, here in Canada, the belief that we are a genocidal, colonial, dystopian state.
Now it’s a real mob; a punch-throwing, placard-waving, obscene-chanting rabble.

Police in Surrey, B.C. are seeking public information as they investigate an act of vandalism at the Cloverdale Cenotaph and Museum of Surrey, in which a statue of a First World War soldier was pushed off the cenotaph.
City officials say the alleged vandalism happened on the morning of March 29 at the Heritage Campus in the Cloverdale neighbourhood.

When I was a child on camping trips I was always scared of bears. Young though I was, my zeal for a clean tent and procedural correctness with regards to bear contact avoidance knew few bounds. This did not mean I was afraid of animals generally. Far from it. I loved to collect snakes and spiders in my terrariums and, at the zoo, never feared having a boa wrapped around my neck or a tarantula crawl up my arm. Enormous bears were scary, tiny snakes and spiders were fine.
The massacre in Nashville is not the fault of conservatives, it is the bitter fruit of a madness that has poisoned an entire generation.

Supposedly, she left behind her a manifesto justifying her mass killing. As of this writing, law enforcement officials have declined to make the document public.
Yet in about a nanosecond after the news was disclosed, the left-wing activist machine kicked in, led by politicians, entertainers, and the media.
Having rich tastes and a fashionable ZIP code does not prevent such a person from doing nasty (and, yes, antiwhite racist) things.
For about a decade a self-described “conservative” has been flooding me with email notes arguing that woke white leftists do not, in fact, dislike other whites. In fact, such seeming antiwhite radicals adore their whiteness. White leftists live in the same neighborhoods with other whites, dress the same way, and send their children to heavily white institutions. For all their talk about being for blacks, these white leftists are just hypocrites. They don’t give up their professional positions for members of other races or sexual orientations, and whatever set asides and preferential hiring these virtue-signalers claim to be working toward, many or most of their colleagues are racially the same as they are.
