Researchers warn that Christian nationalists are becoming more radical and are targeting voting

New research linking Christian nationalism with a desire to limit voting. People citing their faith as the reason they support trucker convoys that shut down the border over covid protections. And the fact that Jesus’ name appeared all over the place during the Jan. 6, 2021, U.S. Capitol insurrection.

Concern about rising radicalism among a segment of White American Christians led this week to what some religious extremism experts call the biggest Congress-related event on the topic in years.

The Thursday evening briefing, called “God is On Our Side: White Christian Nationalism and the Capitol Insurrection,” was hosted by the Congressional Freethought Caucus, a group that includes Democratic House members Jamie Raskin of Maryland, Rashida Tlaib of Michigan, Zoe Lofgren of California and Steve Cohen of Tennessee.

Raging Islamist anti-Semite Rashida Tlaib? Instant credibility!

The cowardice of the far Left

A tyrant can get a fair hearing if he opposes Nato

The far Left exposed itself this week in a series of meetings and rallies and encounters about Ukraine, for a tyrant bombing civilians will get a fair hearing from them if he is not a member of Nato.

Putin needs a buffer in Ukraine, said one on Twitter. Would you be a buffer, was one reply, and the tweet was duly taken down. The far Left’s most pleasing character trait is its cowardice. It collapses easily. Nato expansion is de rigueur in eastern Europe for countries seeking to join the EU, said a woman at a Stop the War meeting, as if national sovereignty — which she is blessed to have — is something trivial for those defending it in Ukraine.

War & Culture War

An op-ed contributor to the NYTimes, Emily Tamkin, writes about “How The American Right Stopped Worrying And Learned To Love Russia.” She mentions me in her piece:

Many of the admirers of the world’s strongmen on the American right appear to believe that the countries each of these men lead are beacons of whiteness, Christianity and conservative values. On Wednesday, conservative commentator Rod Dreher wrote, “I adamantly oppose risking the lives of boys from Louisiana and Alabama to make the Donbass safe for genderqueers and migrants.”

Truckers in the DC Convoy: Please don’t come

This is to my friends in the trucking community. Don’t come to D.C. in your convoy. Biden and the Democrats are salivating over the opportunity this will give them to turbocharge the “domestic terrorist” narrative they have been promoting following the fake, contrived January 6 “insurrection,” which they very likely orchestrated; jail some of you; and further sabotage the economy.

Forget Crack Pipes, a CDC Provider is Promoting ‘Safe’ Fentanyl Use

We live in the golden age of the junkie. Not even in the darkest days of the counterculture were addicts able to swarm major cities and sit on the street getting high while knowing that all of their needs and wants would be taken care of. Billions are spent on “homeless services” for crackheads, meth abusers, and heroin addicts whose plight is blamed on the cost of housing.

Video of people ‘armed with axes’ released in investigation into violent attack at B.C. pipeline camp

Video released by the RCMP shows what officers describe as a group storming the site of a violent attack at a B.C. camp for pipeline workers last week.

Mounties published three video clips Tuesday in connection with the “acts of violence and damage done” at the work camp last week.

In a news release, the RCMP said the videos show a group of people, some of whom are “armed with axes” approaching the Coastal GasLink camp on Thursday.

No doubt they’re white supremacist truckers.

Don’t Eat The Bugs

Making you “eat the bugs” satisfies the liturgical dimension of liberalism—the shattering of long-held taboos and prejudices.

Every few months a major news site runs a piece telling you to eat bugs. The headlines are almost always the same. “Insects Are Food Source of the Future, Experts Say”; “Want to Save the Planet? Eating Bugs May Be Part of the Solution”; “‘It’s Good for the Earth’: Why Climate Scientists Urge Americans to Eat More Bugs.” And so on. The articles usually cite climate change as the reason to upend the American diet, which—for now—is heavy on beef and light on cicadas.

The green revolution is coming — for everyone except the billionaires

The human population is predicted to peak somewhere between 9.7 billion and 11 billiondepending who you ask. But how to feed them all? The answer, as economic leaders like to tell us at every opportunity, is more non-meat protein: bugs, plants or things grown in vats.

Now, Wired reports that former NASA scientists in California are using bacteria to pull carbon dioxide out of the atmosphere, then fermenting it to create protein powder for processing into a ‘meat’ substitute.
