Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez was hammered on Twitter Wednesday after she posted a lengthy thread highlighting the plight of her grandmother in storm-ravaged Puerto Rico.
“Just over a week ago, my abuela fell ill,” Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) began. “I went to Puerto Rico to see her- my 1st time in a year+ bc of COVID.
The media likes to hold up Rochester as a model for various reform efforts. Why? Because people would laugh too hard if they used Detroit.
Rochester is demolishing highways. It’s advocating police defunding. It’s advancing race reparations.
All of these bold experiments depend on the mayor not going to prison.
Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has revealed she is in therapy after the Capitol Riot that she has described as an ‘all-out attempted coup’.
The Squad member told the Latino USA podcast that she is learning to ‘slow down’ and indicated her colleagues in the House are still too scared to talk about what happened on January 6.
‘Oh yeah, I’m doing therapy but also I’ve just slowed down. I think the Trump administration had a lot of us, especially Latino communities, in a very reactive mode,’ she said.

Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot isn’t even hiding the ball at this point. While her city continues to mimic a common dumpster fire, according to multiple reports, she’s decided that being an overt racist is the right path forward. Lightfoot’s spokeswoman asserted that the mayor will only grant interviews to “black and brown people” while refusing to speak to any white journalists.
On Wednesday, Rep. Andrew Clyde (R-Ga.) shocked leftists on Twitter by claiming that “there was no insurrection” on January 6, 2021. He noted that many of those who entered the Capitol that day behaved like tourists. The Twitterati were aghast that someone could say such a thing, but Clyde had a point. Of course, the Capitol riot was a dark day in American history, but the Left has exaggerated it far out of proportion.

The rebuttal speech to a US president’s address to Congress is usually a non-event. Not this year. Republican senator Tim Scott provided a solid, policy-filled response to Joe Biden’s speech marking his first 100 days in the White House. But the remarks by Scott, an African-American, on the use of race in American politics are what really set it apart, especially when he declared that ‘America is not a racist country’. That simple statement, which in the recent past would have been uncontroversial, led to a deluge of frothing-at-the-mouth outrage from those who are convinced that the US is fundamentally and irredeemably racist.

But her type is immune to reason.
Most Americans agree that racism in any form is abhorrent. But in recent weeks, far too many who call themselves “antiracists” have inflamed racial tensions with antiwhite bigotry that’s every bit as disgusting as what they claim to oppose. When will the antiracists start rooting out the bigots in their own ranks?

Tuesday on Newsmax TV’s “Stinchfield,” Harvard law professor emeritus Alan Dershowitz addressed Rep. Maxine Waters’ (D-CA) tactics amid the Derek Chauvin trial, saying she is trying to “influence” and “intimidate” the jury.
Dershowitz said Waters is taking a page out of the Ku Klux Klan’s playbook to influence court cases by threatening violence.
The progressive congresswoman Ayanna Pressley (D., Mass.) has called rent cancellation legislation “literally a matter of life and death.” At the same time, she has collected cash from her own rental properties.
