Conservatives call for federal independent inquiry on Tumbler Ridge mass shooting

The federal Conservatives are calling for an independent inquiry on the mass shooting in Tumbler Ridge, B.C., to understand what happened and how to prevent similar tragedies from occurring in the future.

“We have a responsibility so that it never happens again, and I think that an inquiry will find those answers and then make recommendations,” said Conservative MP Bob Zimmer, whose riding covers Tumbler Ridge.

Shooter had second ChatGPT account, OpenAI reveals as it overhauls safety protocols

OTTAWA — OpenAI says it is taking “immediate actions” to overhaul safety protocols after it chose not to report a Canadian ChatGPT user that police say went on to kill eight people, including six at a secondary school.

On Thursday, the tech giant revealed that the perpetrator managed to create a second account after OpenAI shut down the first over problematic entries.

The company has since faced scrutiny for not reporting the account to police amid questions about its ability to track banned users.

Identity, Action, and the Truth About the Massacre in Tumbler Ridge

The devastating fruit of Canada’s capitulation to hyper-left-wing ideology.

On Feb. 10, 2026, Jesse Van Rootselaar, an 18-year-old transgender male, attacked the community of Tumbler Ridge and its Middle School, whereupon he brutally murdered 8 people and wounded 27 others, before he subsequently divorced himself from all existence in the “deadliest school shooting since 14 women were killed in the Ecole Polytechnique massacre in Montreal.”

Michael Higgins: Human rights tribunal seeks to bully and punish trans heretics

A ruling by the British Columbia Human Rights Tribunal which imposed a penalty of $750,000 on a trans heretic is as chilling in its implication as it is draconian in its punishment.

The extraordinary judgement creates a hierarchy of beliefs in that if a person says they are transgender then everyone is obliged to believe them, regardless of any skepticism. To do otherwise is to deny their existence, says the tribunal.

Poilievre Labels $750K Fine for Former BC Trustee’s Gender Ideology Comments ‘Insane’

Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre is calling a recent ruling by a B.C. tribunal “insane and Orwellian” after a former school board trustee was ordered to pay $750,000 for speaking out against sexual orientation and gender identity curriculum.

The B.C. Human Rights Tribunal ordered former Chilliwack school trustee Barry Neufeld to pay $750,000 to the Chilliwack Teachers’ Association after ruling last week that he had violated the Human Rights Code by publishing content that it deemed “discriminatory” and exposed LGBT people “to hatred or contempt.”

Canada seeks answers from OpenAI for failing to alert police after suspending school shooter’s account

Canada’s artificial intelligence minister says he has summoned representatives from the technology company OpenAI after the company declined to alert police after suspending the account of a user who became the perpetrator of one of the country’s worst-ever school shootings.

Evan Solomon says he is “deeply disturbed” by reports that the company, which operates the popular ChatGPT chatbot, suspended the account of Jesse Van Rootselaar over the “furtherance of violent activities” in June 2025 but did not reach out to Canadian law enforcement.

NPR Unspools 11 Minutes of Mourning for Departing Transgender Troops

“Public” broadcasting demonstrates how dramatically one-sided it is by allowing only one side of the “LGBTQIA+” debate — because they believe there should be no debate. There is no defensible position in opposition. On Saturday’s Consider This podcast, National Public Radio spent more than 11 minutes mourning the Trump administration’s decision to remove transgender troops from service.

The rise in transgender killers proves that we have a major mental health crisis unfolding

In what is becoming a regular occurrence, someone trans-identifying is accused of committing a mass murder, this time during a high school hockey game, in suburban Rhode Island.

Robert Dorgan, who preferred to be called Roberta, killed his ex-wife and one of his own children and shot three more people before turning a gun on himself.

In 2020, Dorgan had told police that he was being kicked out of his home, by his father-in-law, after Dorgan had undergone “gender-reassignment surgery.”

OpenAI Employees Raised Alarms About Canada Shooting Suspect Months Ago

ChatGPT maker opted against informing authorities about Jesse Van Rootselaar’s descriptions of violence last June

Months before Jesse Van Rootselaar became the suspect in the mass shooting that devastated a rural town in British Columbia, Canada, OpenAI considered alerting law enforcement about her interactions with its ChatGPT chatbot, the company said.

While using ChatGPT last June, Van Rootselaar described scenarios involving gun violence over the course of several days, according to people familiar with the matter.

Her posts, flagged by an automated review system, alarmed employees at OpenAI. Internally, about a dozen staffers debated whether to take action on Van Rootselaar’s posts. Some employees interpreted Van Rootselaar’s writings as an indication of potential real-world violence, and urged leaders to alert Canadian law enforcement about her behavior, the people familiar with the matter said.

Is Gender Medicine Diminishing Trust in Doctors?

Transgender issues have become a serious liability for Democrats, according to a new poll by the Substack-based, left-leaning publication The Argument. The poll, which surveyed 3,003 registered voters nationally between February 4 and 10, asked about hot-button policy questions related to gender self-identification, including access to bathrooms, participation in sports teams, teaching gender identity in schools, and the use of puberty blockers, cross-sex hormones, and surgeries on minors. In all those cases, a majority opposed the policies favored by the progressive faction of the Democratic Party. The only area in which a majority supported trans policies was protection from discrimination in housing and employment.
