Social media is full of posts this month by Canadian airlines celebrating pride. There’s a WestJet TikTok video showing a plane flying over a rainbow, Sunwing and Air Transat tweets promoting LGBTQ vacation hot spots and, on Instagram, Flair Airlines is wishing everyone “Happy Pride.”
But non-binary Canadians with travel plans feel excluded from those Pride celebrations.
For Ritchie Herron, a bright and articulate civil servant from Newcastle, life over the past four years has become almost unbearable. It takes him ten minutes to empty his bladder, a process as painful as it is slow. Any sex drive is long gone. In fact, he says, his crotch is numb, ‘shell-shocked’ from the damage done to him under the apparent care of the NHS.

Severe body modification is never good, whether it’s done for Islamic reasons or trans reasons.
There is a question about body modification among the young that nobody wants to ask, let alone try to answer. But it’s time we put it out there. Why is it ‘mutilation’ when a young woman’s vagina is cut for religious reasons, but ‘affirmation’ when it is done for trans reasons? Why do we balk in horror at the ritualistic removal of parts of the outer vagina in young women in certain countries in Africa, but we cheer ‘bottom surgery’ as a form of ‘trans healthcare’ in the West? We need a reckoning with this moral disparity in how we view the ideological alteration of women’s bodies. We live in a world in which you can be arrested for subjecting your daughter to body modification for Islamic reasons but you will become a star on TikTok for allowing your daughter to have her breasts removed for gender-affirmation reasons. And we need to talk about that.

It is a sign of our times that movements have emerged to teach pedophilia in schools and to subject children to drag queen performances. Perversions like this are borne of an insidious attitude known as moral relativism.
As the term suggests, moral relativism is the belief that morality is subjective rather than objective. That is, what is right and wrong varies from person to person instead of emerging from a fixed universal standard, meaning that there are no ultimate moral truths. Before examining why such a view is incoherent, it is worth considering why ordinary people have been seduced into believing it. There are two major reasons. The first is that, because there is widespread disagreement about matters of right and wrong, morality is assumed to be subjective. The second stems from a pervasive attitude that it is “intolerant” to uphold a fixed standard of morality. Both reasons are flimsy.

JK Rowling has backed a young British man in a freedom of speech row after Twitter deleted his account of how he was ‘castrated’ during gender reassignment surgery that has prompted him to sue the NHS over the operation in a historic legal action.
The man has claimed that doctors did not warn him of the drastic outcome of the body-altering surgery which has left him infertile, incontinent, with no sensation in his crotch and feeling like a ‘sexual eunuch’.
He said on Twitter: ‘The minute I woke up from surgery, I knew I had made the biggest mistake of my life.’

It’s time to close the book on Drag Queen Story Hour.
Remember when a drag queen called FlowJob was invited to talk to very young kids in a primary school in Scotland? I know this sounds like something from the fever dream of a hardcore Christian who is convinced that society is going to hell in a handcart, but it really did happen. In 2020, an adult performer whose stage name is a spin on the slang term for fellatio, and who has posted sexually explicit images of himself being gagged and dry-humped on Twitter, was asked by a primary school in Paisley to read a story to little kids for LGBT history month. You do not have to be a pearl-clutching moaner about the sins of the sexual revolution to think that this kind of thing is morally wrong, and maybe plain crazy.

Leading women’s soccer player Megan Rapinoe caught the wrath of social media users on Tuesday for arguing that female athletes and their parents need to get over the advantages biologically male transgender athletes have over girls.
Rapinoe told Time magazine in an interview published Sunday that she is “100% supportive” of “trans inclusion” in female sports, dismissing concerns about fairness.

Canada voted in favour of a controversial gender policy announced this week by the world governing body of swimming.
In a policy that went into effect Monday, FINA allows only transgender swimmers who transition from male to female before age 12 to compete in women’s events.
FINA is contemplating the establishment of an open-competition category.
College Green is part of Bristol’s university district, and usually it is a sleepy part of town, with students catching up on their reading or gathering to do homework. But on June 19, a mob of activists wearing black masks (perhaps for their safety, but certainly not for anyone else’s) and balaclavas gathered to target a lecture held by a 60 women’s rights activists with Standing for Women in honor of Father’s Day. They screamed, jostled, and threatened. Police had to be called in to hold them back.
The activists, called together by the Bristol Anarchist Federation, were trans activists, and the reason for their rage was that the targeted women refused to recognize biological men as women.

Olympic swimming legend Sharron Davies has accused trans activists of making her life “hell” — revealing they’ve made death threats even against her child.
Davies, 59, told The Times of London that she became a vocal critic of transgender athletes competing in women’s events because she felt it was an unfair advantage similar to when the East German swimmer who beat her to gold in the 1980 Moscow Olympics later admitted to doping.
Back in the noughties, before Police and Crime Commissioners existed, I was the senior Home Office official in South West England holding Chief Constables to account on behalf of the Home Secretary.
My patch included Avon and Somerset, where I had many entertaining conversations with the then Chief Constable Colin Port about the vagaries of central government targets. Nonetheless, unlike his current successor, Colin understood the centrality of one of those targets – public confidence.

How can we get back to normal? Those waiting for the pendulum to swing back will be waiting forever.
… Mandel is right: Child Protective Services should not be sent after these families. Parents ought to be free to make all kinds of decisions regarding what ideas to expose their children to, how and when—especially with regard to matters that we typically consider private and deeply personal: Religion is one. Sexuality, another.
But here’s the hitch: as with so many of our institutions, CPS has already become thoroughly politicized and weaponized by the left. Dozens and dozens of loving parents have told me over the last two years that CPS showed up at their homes or threatened their custody or even testified against them in court, all for the sin of failing to “affirm” their minor child’s newly-announced gender identity or vetoing the kid’s immediate medical transition.

Fina, swimming’s world governing body, has voted to stop transgender athletes from competing in women’s elite races if they have gone through any part of the process of male puberty.
The new policy requires transgender competitors to have completed their transition by the age of 12 in order to be able to compete in women’s competitions.
Fina will also aim to establish an ‘open’ category at competitions for swimmers whose gender identity is different than their birth sex.
