Nearly 30% of Canada’s Leopard 2 Tank Fleet Will Be Out of Commission Between 2023 and 2026: Federal Records

Nearly 30 percent of the Canadian Army’s fleet of Leopard 2 main battle tanks, which number 74 in total, will be out of commission due to required maintenance for about three years starting this May, according to newly released federal records.

All 20 of the Canadian Army’s Leopard 2A6M fleet are set to undergo a “planned repair, overhaul, and turret conversion” in New Brunswick that the Department of National Defence (DND) says will not be completed until 2026, according to an Inquiry of Ministry tabled by cabinet in the House of Commons on March 20.

3 Years Of Required Maintenance? What if this was the middle of a war?

Thousands of military members to be cut off as Ottawa introduces expanded housing benefit

After working on it for almost a decade and a half, the Department of National Defence (DND) is rolling out a new benefit to help military members deal with the high cost of housing — but it’s not going over very well with everyone.

Military members learned at a virtual town hall Tuesday that a new, highly-anticipated housing benefit is coming in July. It’s meant to help lower-ranking members cope with steep housing costs in dozens of additional Canadian locations.

But not everyone is getting it. The military estimates the new policy will mean roughly 7,700 military members who have been receiving a monthly housing allowance will soon be cut off. That news sparked an angry online backlash from those who say they will receive less than before.

Canada’s Military Must Strive to Become An ‘Anti-Racist Organization’: National Defence

Canada’s military shows racial discrimination through its policies and “power dynamics,” and must strive to become an “anti-racist organization” while recognizing the presence of “white privilege,” says the Department of National Defence (DND).

“Racism and discrimination still manifests in our workplaces through bias, privilege, policies and power dynamics,” reads a DND report titled “Guide To Courageous Conversations On Racism And Discrimination,” obtained by Blacklock’s Reporter.

Not a good look for an organization that relies on “white privileged males” to do the fighting and dying.

I remain stumped by their recruiting crisis and the reasons why they can’t recruit white men any longer.

Liberals impose a culture of wokeism on the Canadian Armed Forces

The purpose of the military is to protect Canada. This is a key detail that seems to be lost on Defence Minister Anita Anand, who has led the Canadian Armed Forces into a “culture change” that looks more like a Marxist cultural revolution focused on identity rather than class.

This point was made obvious with the publication of the Department of National Defence’s “Anti-racism toolkit.” The toolkit contains propaganda intended to be used to instruct Canadian servicemembers about diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI).

Rapid Pronoun Deployment Force Overstretched: Haitian Gangs Could Probably Kick Our Butts Says CIS-Gendered Male Nominally In Charge Of Transitioning Armed Forces

Canadian military likely lacks capacity to lead Haiti mission: Gen. Wayne Eyre

Canada’s top general said he was concerned that the country’s armed forces, which are already stretched thin by support for Ukraine and NATO, do not have the capacity to lead a possible security mission to Haiti.

Haiti’s government and top United Nations officials have called for an international force to support Haitian police in their struggle against gangs, which have become the de facto authorities in parts of the country.

The newly acquired vehicles of the Pride Parade Float Brigade have been plagued by mechanical breakdowns and morale is described as Bitchy.

Canadian Armed Forces redefines ‘racist’ to include pretty much everyone alive

Canada’s armed forces are ready for emergency pronoun deployment under battlefield conditions.

The Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) has put out a new “anti-racism” document that defines a racist as anyone who is not willing to engage in self-reflection to see just how racist they really are.

They’re still working hard to understand why no one wants to sign up for such a fecked up organization.

Canadian military will get new tanks to replace Leopards going to Ukraine … sure they will

Canada will be purchasing additional tanks to replace the ones being sent to Ukraine, Defence Minister Anita Anand said.

Her comment comes on the heels of an announcement Friday that Canada will be sending an additional four Leopard 2 battle tanks to Ukraine, bringing the total number of tanks being sent by the government to the embattled country to eight.

I have zero confidence in replacements ever being purchased in less than a decade.

Behind the Agenda to Rid Canada’s Military Chaplaincy of Traditional Faith Groups

Canada’s armed forces are ready for emergency pronoun deployment under battlefield conditions.

… In terms of Christianity, recommendation 6.1 of the government’s “Re-Defining Chaplaincy” document is a direct attack on conservative Lutherans, historic Roman Catholics, and other Biblically-based and conservative denominations, who they no longer wish to employ. The claim is that traditional church bodies that, say, do not ordain women or accept the homosexual lifestyle are sexist and homophobic is unsubstantiated, ignorant, and absurd.

With brutal missile war raging in Ukraine, Canada remains missile-less

If we might one day assign a technical name for the war in Ukraine, it could well be “the missile war.”

From the issues discussed during Zelensky’s recent Washington visit, to the savage Russian bombardment of civilians, to the impressive Ukrainian defence, the preponderance of razor accurate Patriot, NASAMS and other missile systems are proving their worth on the modern conventional battlefield.

Anthony Furey: China’s ‘Unidentified Objects’ Over North America: Let’s Talk About Canada’s Defence Capabilities

The initial news that a spy balloon from China was hovering over the continental United States caught many people by surprise. We’re just not used to seeing that sort of thing happen.

It seemed so out of place for our times. It had the feel of something either historical, like out of the Cold War, or something futuristic, like in a science fiction novel.

We’ve grown accustomed to thinking that sort of stuff just doesn’t happen. Here’s the thing though: Now it does. Times have changed.
