The Colombian cartels come to Europe

Cocaine production in Colombia, Peru and Bolivia has boomed in the last decade, and so has its importation into Europe

In May this year 87,000 asylum applications were lodged with the European Union Agency for Asylum (EUAA). This was a 24 percent increase on the number of claims made in May 2022.

Syrians, Afghans, Ivorians and Guineans were heavily represented among those making claims, but there was also a remarkable number of South Americans. Over 7,000 Venezuelans asylum seekers arrived in Europe this May, along with 2,500 Peruvians and 6,900 Colombians. In the case of Colombians, this is a 90 percent increase on 2022. Most filed their asylum claims in Spain, and according to the EUAA, nearly all were first-time applicants.

Thousands Flee Trudeaupia: US-Canadian border flooded with illegal crossers, more caught in 2023 than 10 years combined

Over 6,100 people from 76 different countries were caught illegally crossing into the United States along its northeastern border over the last 11 months alone — more than were apprehended there in the last 10 years combined, US border officials announced.

“Swanton Sector Agents are resolute and determined to hold the line,” said Chief Patrol Agent Robert Garcia in a series of social media posts Tuesday.

Garcia’s sector stretches nearly 300 miles across the US-Canadian border in New York, Vermont, and New Hampshire.

Send illegal migrants to Islington – see how liberal opinion likes it then

Just when you think things cannot get any worse, illegal migration across the Channel now seems to have got so bad that the Government is relying on the weather to bring the numbers down.

Last Friday more than 800 illegal migrants successfully made the crossing. That was the highest daily total this year. But it also stood out in the stats because choppy waters had delayed crossings for a week, allowing some officials to pretend the problem was on the way to being solved.

UK Students “Ruthlessly Dumped” as Migrants Get Their Luxury Lodgings

A last-minute accommodation cancellation upset 168 British students’ plans as they were told their housing contracts, set to start in September, had been made null and void to make room for illegal migrants.

According to an exclusive LBC radio report, the property manager, Prestige Student Living, had confirmed that the agreements with the students—who were soon to start their courses at Huddersfield University in Yorkshire—had been “terminated with immediate effect.”

America Overrun, America Transformed

Overrun: How Joe Biden Unleashed the Greatest Border Crisis in U.S. History, by Todd Bensman, Bombardier Books, 432 pages

By the end of four years in power, the Biden administration will almost surely have admitted over 10 million illegal immigrants. Todd Bensman’s Overrun: How Joe Biden Unleashed the Greatest Border Crisis in U.S. History is an essential book for understanding this migrant maelstrom. Reading his analysis of the unfolding border catastrophe can be wrenching, even infuriating, but conservatives need to grapple with a historic disaster, and the valuable material presented in this important book.

Overrun is a fire-bell ringing in the night. A White House that erases national borders, ignores federal laws, and refuses to expel illegal arrivals is on a mission to fundamentally change the country. While the country’s situation is dire, even desperate, Overrun also offers crucial policy fixes, most notably the need to “tear down and rebuild the American asylum system.”

Belgian Asylum Chaos: Thousands Left To Roam the Streets

“This will have deleterious effects in Brussels, and not just around the Midi Station,” Brussels Minister Alain Maron warned after the government decided to stop giving shelter to male asylum-seekers.

Hundreds of male asylum seekers are left stranded on Brussels’ streets after a ban on single men entering refugee shelters came into effect this week, despite several courts ruling against it. The move is seen as both inhumane and dangerous to public safety, The Brussels Times reported, as politicians warn the number of homeless refugees could increase exponentially.

It’s only been several days since the Belgian government announced the temporary ban on sheltering male refugees within the network of Fedasil—the agency responsible for the reception of asylum seekers in Belgium—but the effects can already be seen on the streets.

UK: Electronic Tagging of Migrants Not Ruled Out

Home Secretary Suella Braverman has refused to rule out fitting illegal migrants with electronic and GPS tags.

Her department is reportedly mulling the idea as a way to ensure that migrants awaiting asylum decisions—and who cannot be housed in the network of immigration detention centers around the country—do not pick up and leave unmonitored.

Leftist Mayors Protest Illegal Migration After Being Sent Actual Migrants

Months After Closure of Quebec’s Roxham Road, More Asylum Seekers Arriving by Air

The closure of a rural southern Quebec road used by thousands of asylum seekers to enter Canada from the United States hasn’t stopped would-be refugees from arriving, federal data shows.

The number of people claiming asylum in Canada dropped sharply after the end of March, when the government negotiated a deal with the United States to turn away asylum seekers at unofficial border crossings like Quebec’s Roxham Road. However, the numbers have been climbing back up in recent months, propelled by an increase in arrivals at Ontario and Quebec airports.

Shock: Illegal Aliens Killed 33,000 Americans Between 2010-2015

On July 13, 2023, Don Rosenberg, the father of Drew Rosenberg who was killed in a grisly crash by an unlicensed illegal alien in 2010, testified before the House Judiciary Committee on “The Consequences of Criminal Aliens on U.S. Cities.”

The revelations revealed by Rosenberg who is the president of Advocates for Victims of Illegal Alien Crime (AVIAC) in his testimony were quite shocking and would have most Americans up in arms if only the media would have covered it (instead of ignoring it).

Germany: Momentum Builds for Left-Wing Anti-Immigration Party

Sahra Wagenknecht

Five to ten MPs from the German Die Linke party have quietly pledged support for a left-wing, anti-mass immigration party rumoured to be formed by disgruntled former party leader Sahra Wagenknecht in a move that could split the German left down the middle.

A current MP for North Rhine-Westphalia, Wagenknecht has earned a reputation in German left-wing politics as a radical outsider with vocal opposition to Berlin’s generous asylum policies and its commitment to NATO in Ukraine. Wagenknecht left Die Linke acrimoniously in March, amid speculation that she was exploring the potential for a new left-wing migration-critical party.

Brutal Migrant Murder Causes Tension in Italian Right-Wing Coalition

Over the weekend, a homeless Nigerian migrant attacked an Italian woman in the street in an apparent rape attempt so vicious that the woman later died in hospital from her injuries. The case is causing tensions between members of Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni’s coalition as League leader Matteo Salvini has demanded to know why the man was even in Italy in the first place.

Migrants Refuse Barge Housing Blaming Fear of Water

The Tories cannot do right on migration. Party officials are desperate to look tough on illegal crossings to win favour among voters ahead of next year’s general election. But every scheme, following months and months of idle talk, ends in humiliation.

The latest, described as “the flagship of the government’s latest plan to ‘stop the boats,’” is no exception to this rule.

German Village Successfully Revolts Against Refugee Centre

A village in the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia has revolted and successfully pushed back plans by local authorities to house 450 asylum seekers in a former monastery building. According to the publication Junge Freiheit, there were scenes of jubilation at a town hall meeting on Monday, July 31st, in Oeventrop, when the owner of the building, Christoph Kraas, announced that, without the support of the community, he would not lease the monastery to the local government for accommodating the migrants. Kraas, also a resident of the village, would have gained several million euros in rent per year, but must now pass up the opportunity.
