Thousands of Canadians to start receiving invitations to apply to sponsor parents and grandparents

Thousands of Canadians will soon receive invitations to apply to sponsor their parents and grandparents as permanent residents.

The 2025 intake will open for a few weeks starting July 28 for 17,860 potential sponsors who submitted an interest-to-sponsor form in 2020, according to Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) in a notice published online Wednesday.

IRCC said its goal is to accept up to 10,000 complete applications under the federal Parents and Grandparents Program.

Canada’s envoy for combatting antisemitism Deborah Lyons leaving post early … explains why she was a dud

It’s evident why Trudeau chose this hack

OTTAWA – Canada’s special official for fighting antisemitism announced on Thursday that she is retiring her post, three months before the end of her term.

… She said her office fought antisemitism “with a vigour and passion not seen in many other countries,” and yet she leaves with concern over Canadians who feel they must pick a side when it comes to defending humanity.

“Support to one community should never mean, or be interpreted as, minimizing another community. Our value of inclusivity has at its core our ability to hold the concerns of multiple communities, in our hearts and minds,” Lyons wrote.

“It was troubling in the last few years to see our lack of patience, lack of tolerance, and inability to reach out across the gulf to one another.”

There you have it. Unable to grasp the fact Islam is a murder cult Lyons wants people to tolerate the intolerant. To their deaths if need be!

Carney promises First Nations leaders prosperity for ‘generations to come’ with your money at summit on major projects

Prime Minister Mark Carney promised First Nations rights-holders wealth and prosperity for “generations to come” at a summit Thursday designed to allay leaders’ concerns about the government’s major projects law, which has ignited criticism because it allows for fast-tracked approvals.

Carney said the law, known as Bill C-5 before its passage through Parliament in June, is designed to “connect and transform our national economy” at a time when the country is facing threats from U.S. President Donald Trump.

He said the potential benefits that come from building new railways, ports and energy “corridors” will flow to First Nations because “Indigenous economic growth is at the centre” of this new framework.

Oh c’mon it’s always the tax payer who picks up the tab.

Carney Bets Bigly On Trump’s Administration: Blind Trust comprised of 91.6 per cent of U.S.-based companies.

Prime Minister Mark Carney’s investment portfolio includes three Canadian firms out of 567 entities, according to an analysis conducted by the Investigative Journalism Foundation.

Carney’s assets were released July 11th to comply with the Conflict of Interest Act, which requires public disclosure within 120 days of his appointment as prime minister in March.

Among the 567 funds held in an investment account managed by a third party, over which Carney had no control or influence, about 91.6 per cent are U.S.-based companies.

Did federal workers cost Poilievre his job? Top union boss says it’s more about Trump

A major union leader says Pierre Poilievre’s claim that he lost his seat because of his pledge to cut the public service is “simplistic” and should also be attributed to voters linking the Conservative leader to U.S. President Donald Trump.

“I think what people saw was too many similarities. People see the platform that was presented. They see past decision-making and they link it to what’s happening down south in an extreme manner,” said Sharon DeSousa, national president of the Public Service Alliance of Canada (PSAC), the largest federal public sector union.

Mohammedan Climate Nutter Latest Flavor of “Canadian Terrorism”

Ex-pilot called himself messiah on climate-change mission, day before alleged hijack

The day before the suspected hijacking of a light aircraft triggered a security scare at Vancouver’s airport this week, former commercial pilot Shaheer Cassim posted on social media that he was a “messenger of Allah” sent to save humanity from climate change.

A 39-year-old man with the same name has now been charged with hijacking, constituting terrorism, over the incident on Tuesday that saw Norad scramble F-15 fighter jets before the light plane safely landed.

Anthony De Luca-Baratta: Canada cannot afford to pivot away from the U.S.

Many commentators hailed the Canada-European Union defence pact, which was signed by Prime Minister Mark Carney in late June, as Canada’s pivot away from the United States. That same month, however, Carney pledged to increase defence spending to five per cent of GDP by 2035, acceding to U.S. President Donald Trump’s demand, and he continues to pursue a comprehensive trade and security agreement with Washington. Despite what his critics may say, the prime minister is living in reality.

Dozens of independent candidates have already registered in the rural Alberta riding of Battle River—Crowfoot byelection, where Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre hopes to win back a seat in the House of Commons.

BARBER: Canada’s economic warning from across ‘The Pond’

‘As the UK spirals under debt, high taxes, and net-zero delusions, Canada risks the same fate under Carney’s leadership — unless it changes course on spending, energy, and trade.’

The UK finds itself in serious economic trouble. The cost of its debt is approaching unmanageable levels. It faces high taxes after recent increases, a shrinking economy, declining job growth, and rising unemployment. The UK’s Office for Budget Responsibility (OBR) reports that debt is predicted to reach 270% of GDP by 2070 (“Fiscal Risks and Sustainability Report — July 2025”.) The EU’s Stability and Growth Pact recommends a debt-to-GDP ratio of 60%. The UK’s current ratio is around 100%, with annual interest payments projected at £105.2 billion.

Canada’s income gap reaches record high, Statistics Canada finds

Statistics Canada says the income gap between the country’s highest and lowest income households reached a record high in the first quarter of 2025.

The agency says the difference in the share of disposable income between households in the top 40 per cent of the income distribution and the bottom 40 per cent grew to 49 percentage points in the first three months of the year.

Statistics Canada says the measure has increased each year following the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Report warns of growing Muslim Brotherhood influence in Canada, calls for terrorist designation

A new report by the Institute for the Study of Global Antisemitism and Policy (ISGAP) warns that Canada faces an escalating national security threat from Muslim Brotherhood-affiliated organizations that have embedded themselves across civil society, politics, academia, and finance.

The report urges the federal government to immediately designate the Muslim Brotherhood a terrorist organization, citing a broad and troubling infiltration that could expose Canada to future terror attacks.
