Samidoun doubles down, says ‘death to Canada’ an accurate summation of its goals

After Samidoun was roundly condemned for chanting “death to Canada” at a Vancouver rally celebrating the one-year anniversary of the October 7 terrorist attacks, the anti-Israel group has doubled down on the slogan, saying it’s an accurate representation of what it intends to do.

The Canadian farmboy ready to unleash nuclear hell during the Cold War

In the late 1960s, at the height of the Cold War, Gordon Todd — who grew up on a dairy farm in southern Quebec — flew practice missions in an RCAF CF-104 Starfighter, to prepare for the day when war might break out between the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) and the Warsaw Pact along the line that demarked Communist eastern Europe and the NATO nations to the west.

Kelly McParland: Canada’s in a standoff between the prime minister and the people

Three weeks out from one of the most consequential presidential elections in history, something truly exceptional has become clear: if Donald Trump were a tropical storm, he could crash across vast portions of the United States, sending down torrents of rain, pushing streams over their banks, sinking entire neighbourhoods in waist-deep rivers of brackish water, and 50 per cent of Americans caught in the deluge wouldn’t admit they were wet.

Canadian support for Donald Trump higher than in last U.S. presidential election, poll finds

The majority of Canadians prefer Kamala Harris over Donald Trump in the U.S. election, but support for the former Republican president has increased here, especially among young men, according to a new poll.

The research, conducted by the Environics Institute in Toronto, also found that more Conservative Party voters prefer Mr. Trump than during the last U.S. presidential campaign, in 2020.

Woman Who Tried to Smuggle 29 Turtles Wrapped in Socks Pleads Guilty

A woman pleaded guilty on Friday to attempting to smuggle 29 Eastern box turtles, a protected species, that were individually wrapped in socks inside a duffle bag as she tried to paddle in an inflatable kayak across a lake from Vermont to Canada over the summer, officials said.

The woman, Wan Yee Ng, of Hong Kong, was arrested in June at a rental residence in Canaan, Vt., as she was about to enter into the kayak with the bag on Lake Wallace, according to a statement by the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Vermont.

Ontario First Nations accept $47.8 billion child welfare deal after intense debate

After two days of lengthy and contentious discussions in Toronto, Ontario’s First Nations have ratified a $47.8-billion child welfare reform agreement with Ottawa, which has been in the works since 2016.

Ontario’s largest confederation of First Nations, the Nishnawbe Aski Nation (NAN), voted to ratify the agreement, followed by the Chiefs of Ontario (COO) on Thursday afternoon. A third and final vote will be held at the Assembly of First Nations meeting in Calgary next week.

This grift has to end.

Canada expels Indian high commissioner, five other diplomats

Canada has expelled six Indian diplomats, including the high commissioner.

A senior government official with knowledge of the situation says the expulsions come as Canada has evidence of ongoing violent criminal activity linked to the Indian government.

Angry India accuses Canada of ‘preposterous’ investigation

India has reacted angrily after being told by Canada that its ambassador and other diplomats were named as “persons of interest” in an investigation in the country.

The foreign ministry in Delhi said it received the news in a diplomatic communication from Canada on Sunday, and reserved the right to respond. “The Government of India strongly rejects these preposterous imputations,” it said.

The statement refers to allegations last year by Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau that the Indian government may have been behind the killing of a Sikh separatist on Canadian soil. Delhi has repeatedly rejected the allegation.

Trudeau is a disaster at home or abroad.

Officials demand more empty platitudes & increase for insincerity budget after 2nd shooting at Jewish girls school

Officials call for ‘concrete action’ after 2nd shooting at Jewish girls school

Schools shouldn’t have to have bulletproof glass or metal detectors.

That was the message delivered Sunday at Bais Chaya Mushka School for Girls, which had a window shot out early Saturday morning in the Finch Ave. W.-Dufferin St. area. It was the second time since May that the North York school was targeted with gunfire.

It was on May 26 when multiple shots were fired at the building in the first case. No injuries were reported, but there was damage to the front of the school.

Trudeau must import all of Gaza to Canada to enhance our mosaic of diversity!

Canada Needs To Prepare For Bank Runs & Collapses, Warns Former Regulator

Canadian banks have been considered mostly risk-free for a long time, but every streak ends. A former Canadian banking regulator urges the country’s policymakers to prepare for that day while it still can. In a new report from CD Howe, a former OSFI manager urges the country to modernize its banking crisis response and adopt more prudent measures. Failing to do so can result in a major hit to the country’s financial stability, resulting in a wide range of issues from bank runs to an outright collapse of financial institutions. As unlikely as this sounds, it comes after the recent wave of global financial institutions that were believed to be invincible, collapsed over a few months. Policymakers were left claiming no one saw it coming, but were they even looking?

Wanna bet they seize your savings to prop up the banks?

The four fatal ‘I’s of Justin Trudeau

Liberal support is a shadow of what it was nine years ago. Why? In brief: Incumbency, inflation, immigration and identity

Just shy of nine years ago, Justin Trudeau led his Liberals to a majority government with 39.5 per cent of the popular vote. Today, depending on which poll you prefer, the Liberals have lost a shade less than half of that support. Where did it go, and why?

Liberal support began leaking during Mr. Trudeau’s first four-year term. The result of the ensuing election was a minority Liberal government. Since the last election, in 2021, which produced another minority, the Liberals have tried many tricks in the political book and unveiled a range of policies designed to meet social needs, as the party sees them, and to tickle the electorate’s fancy. Politically speaking, nothing has worked. The party has at most one year left before the next election to avoid a crushing defeat. Recently, the Liberals lost by-elections in seats they had long held in Toronto and Montreal, a harbinger of electoral disaster.

Long read but worth it. Trudeau’s immigration scam is a plot to destroy Canada, no one cane deny that.

Cory Morgan: Feds Must Crack Down on Extremist Anti-Israel Protests on Canadian Streets

Anti-Israel demonstrations began sprouting up across North America within days of the terrorist attack upon Israel on Oct. 7, 2023. The demonstrations were initially large, and many demonstrators claimed they were seeking to promote peace in the Middle East. They continually told us they wanted to encourage a two-state solution and wanted what was best for people in the region. Anti-Jewish sentiment kept slipping out of the protests but we were assured those were just minority voices who spoke out of frustration with the conflict.

Nope, the “Vocal Minority” ruse just doesn’t work.

The Muslim vote is much too important for Justin to offend so expect nothing to be done.

Joe Oliver: Canada’s irresolute response to Iranian terror reeks of moral rot

In the complicated world of international conflicts, contradictory moral positions can often be justified by competing narratives, conflicting facts, differing starting points and starkly opposed ideological perspectives. However, when large-scale heinous crimes are systematically committed by a murderous organization or nation state, responsible countries should take an unequivocal stand. High on a lengthy list of crimes against humanity are the Holocaust, the Ukrainian Holodomor, Khmer Rouge massacres in Cambodia, and the Hutu slaughter of Tutsis in Rwanda. Belatedly, most countries acknowledge that failure to mitigate or at least decry those monstrous tragedies was shameful.

Inviting Islamists to settle in Canada reeks of moral rot.

Smearing citizens as Islamophobes and Racists because they had the good common sense to object also reeks of moral rot.

Continuing to slavishly cultivate the Islamist vote goes beyond mere moral rot and is nothing less than satanic evil.
