‘O CANADA’ How Free Are Thee?

… Canada is governed by Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. How “free” the glorious nation is, has come under debate, with critics accusing the prime minister of totalitarian tendencies on par with what U.S. observers have seen as similar to the U.S. Politicization of Canadian law enforcement and political agencies that have prosecuted critics of the national government, including dissenting clergy, and the crushing of national trucker protests in the frigid winter months in 2023.

Canada is condemning captured murderous traitors who joined ISIS to ‘life sentence,’ in Syrian camps UN rapporteur says

The UN special rapporteur on counter-terrorism and human rights says Canada is putting the lives of its citizens at risk by not helping to return them from prisons in Syria.

“It is inconceivable for any country, including Canada, to leave its vulnerable children in these camps for a day longer than they should be,” said Fionnuala Ní Aoláin in an interview airing Saturday on CBC’s The House.

The UN special rapporteur also accused the Canadian government of hypocrisy, arguing that its actions on citizens in Syria devalued other efforts on the international stage.

They made their choice.

Popular restaurants, professional sports teams among the Ontario companies accused of unpaid wages during the pandemic

From Tim Hortons restaurants to the Ottawa Senators, some of the province’s most recognizable brands faced complaints about workplace violations during the pandemic.

The Star obtained data on every employment standards claim in Ontario between 2020 and 2022 where money was found owing, or a settlement was reached.

This is the treatment employees can expect thanks to the Trudeau government allowing our “Captains of Industry” to import indentured servants on a whim.

Our cyberspace invaders: Why nobody can seem to solve Canada’s massive hacking problem

On a drab Wednesday in early February, malicious software from Russia quietly infiltrated the internal systems of Canada’s largest bookstore chain.

At the time, Indigo Books & Music Inc. IDG-T had recently promoted a new chief executive, and a major upgrade of the company’s decades-old website was just wrapping up. The retailer was implementing grand plans to expand its offerings, looking beyond books and launching into a wide array of markets around the world.

Sabrina Maddeaux: Justice Minister Arif Virani gaslights Canadians on crime

The federal Liberals’ new communication strategy appears to be doubling down on their signature tactic: gaslighting Canadians into thinking there’s no problem and, if that fails, blaming them for thinking there’s a problem at all.

Earlier this week, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau attempted to assert that housing isn’t primarily a federal responsibility, despite several key levers fuelling the crisis being very much under federal jurisdiction — and a history of campaigning on housing affordability.

David Krayden: The Million-Person March Against Gender Ideology Is a Force for Uniting People of Faith

Can an Ottawa businessman and Muslim activist successfully organize a million-person march to protest gender ideology in Canadian schools?

Yes, because Kamel El-Cheikh has a Canada-wide network stretching from Vancouver to Halifax and he’s asking not just his fellow Muslims to march in protest but people of all faiths. In doing so, he is shaping a juggernaut of political opposition to the radical LGBTQ policies of federal and provincial governments across Canada that are insisting children be allowed to change their gender without parental consent and be exposed to a perverse cornucopia of sexual fetishism and pornography.

I would love to see this work out for the good of all however I suspect that the schoolboards and politicians will play their usual game of divide and conquer.

Muslims will be granted concessions for their children, Christians will not.

Canada’s housing shortfall could widen by another 500K units if immigration continues at current pace: report

Canada’s housing shortfall could widen by another 500,000 units within just two years if immigration continues at its current pace, according to a recent report from TD Economics.

In the report, economists Beata Caranci, James Orlando and Rishi Sondhi note that Canada’s population grew by 1.2 million over the past year, as of the second quarter of 2023 — more than double the pace of population growth in 2019 and years prior.

“Adam Zivo: Let’s not treat Justin Trudeau’s separation with undue cruelty” … No worries Junior will receive only the cruelty he so richly deserves

Justin Trudeau owes the public more details about his separation from his wife, Sophie Grégoire Trudeau, but there is no need for him to disclose that information right now — his family should be given time to navigate a difficult transition. And until further details are made public, critics should refrain from making cruel or unfair assumptions.

Trudeau is a hateful punk who has made citizens lives misearable. He does not merit the respect of Canadians.

Feds Will Fail to Meet Bilingualism Targets Despite $7.7 Billion in Spending: Report

French language use in Canada will not grow despite billions of dollars spent encouraging its use, according to a federal report. The report said there had been “worrisome demographic trends” in Canada, according to Blacklock’s Reporter.

“Initiatives are not sufficient to contribute to some expected long-term outcomes,” the Department of Canadian Heritage said in its report of Jan. 20. “Notably, the contribution of francophone immigration is not sufficient to increase the demographic weight of francophones outside Québec.”

You mean all those 3rd world migrants didn’t come to Canada to learn French?

Oh No! Tom Mulcair Is Upset!!!

Tom Mulcair: Within an hour of the announcement of the Trudeaus’ separation, social media was full of vile commentary

The separation of Justin Trudeau and Sophie Gregoire Trudeau is, first and foremost, a very difficult moment for Canada’s “First Couple” and their children. They’ve asked for and deserve the time and the space to deal with this personal situation that will have repercussions well beyond their family.

It’s also an opportunity to think about the pressures elected officials, in all orders of government, face and how we can better reconcile work and family in politics, generally.

Tom should ask himself why people hold politicians in such contempt.

BMJ pulls its punches over Trudeau’s war on the truckers

THE truckers lost the battle but not the war. The senseless Covid-19 regime and the authoritarian and often nasty misrule by Justin Trudeau will have lasting impact on Canadian society. Unlike other prominent pandemic performers including Mark Rutte, Boris Johnson, Nicola Sturgeon, Jacinda Ardern and Sanna Marin, Trudeau remains in post, but he is heckled whenever seen in public. His days are surely numbered.

Decoupling From China: Canada Among the Laggards

Economic decoupling from China gathered steam during the pandemic when the vulnerability of supply chains came to the fore. But Canada’s economic linkages with China haven’t diminished, despite its closest ally the United States actively doing so.

Whether it’s called decoupling or friendshoring or nearshoring, international trade expert Eric Miller says it’s primarily about reducing risk—de-risking—in trade with China and then adjusting to the impacts.

Canadian Court Invalidates Covid Lockdowns Due To Illegal Implementation

An Albertan court ruled on Tuesday that lockdown orders enacted in response to Covid were invalid.

The ruling in Ingram v. Alberta will likely force prosecutors to withdraw charges against individuals, churches, and other organizations in several other standing cases.

Justice Barbara Romaine ruled in favor of the applicants because the Chief Medical Officer of Health (CMOH) delegated her decisions to the cabinet, which she was not authorized to do under Canadian law. The CMOH herself testified at trial that she provided only advice and recommendations to politicians but did not make the decisions herself.

Spanish – Canadian Forces dismantle terrorist network

The Guardia Civil and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police have dismantled a terrorist network supporting DAESH, which culminated, with the arrest of a 34-year-old suspect in Toronto for their involvement in several terrorist offences, on Tuesday, August 1.

This individual was sentenced to six years in prison for the crimes of self-training and financing of terrorism.
