Islamophobia czar Amira Elghawaby is unfit for office

An ugly scene unfolded on Saturday, as dozens of anti-Israel demonstrators clogged the streets of downtown Ottawa, shouting genocidal slogans like “long live Oct. 7” and “from the river to the sea.”

The open intolerance on display in our nation’s capital played into a broader trend on both sides of the Canada-U.S. border: protesters across the continent are increasingly dropping any pretense of civility and behaving in an overtly hateful manner. This is a trend that has no doubt been abetted by leaders who have overlooked, or downplayed, the growing hatred.

Employers boost recruitment of temporary foreign workers, despite softer labour market

Canadian companies ramped up their recruitment of temporary foreign workers last year, even as the labour market softened and the unemployment rate drifted higher.

During the last quarter of 2023, employers were approved to fill more than 81,000 positions through the Temporary Foreign Worker Program, according to figures shared by the federal government with The Globe and Mail. It was easily the largest quarter for approvals since Ottawa made several employer-friendly changes to the program in the spring of 2022.

Isn’t it swell that Trudeau outsourced immigration intake so his corporate welfare cronies can depress wages!

Oh Brother … Star wets itself because Poilievre met with folks who hate Trudeau

Pierre Poilievre is courting support from groups that spew hate. Is this really the alternative to Justin Trudeau we want?

Perhaps Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre was feeling too comfortable.

After all, his party is ahead of the Liberals by 20 points in public opinion polls. The poll aggregator 338Canada.com has the Conservatives winning a 207-seat majority in the House of Commons, if an election were held today — a Brian Mulroney-sized landslide, and that’s without the Bloc Québécois’ seats.

The Conservatives, according to Abacus Data, lead across all age brackets, education brackets, even gender lines.

Trudeau’s media is getting desperate. At this stage outside of Toronto and Ottawa you’d be hard pressed to find anyone who likes Junior.

The Diagalonians should sue the Star.

RCMP documents contradict mainstream media claims Diagalon is a ‘far-right threat’

Internal RCMP documents reveal law enforcement concluded controversial Diagolon does “not pose a criminal or national security threat,” contrary to the Public Safety Minister’s remarks.

Kevin Vuong: Justin Trudeau is sacrificing young people’s futures for short-term political gain

Listening to Budget 2024 brought forth a flood of memories from my past as an entrepreneur before being asked to run for office. At the time, I was under 30 and, along with my business co-founders, imbued with the spirit that most startups are fuelled by: unbridled passion, perseverance and a desire to succeed in a system where hard work pays off. As an MP, I see the same traits in young people today.

After the Inquiry, Will Anyone Take Responsibility for Allowing Foreign Interference in Elections?

Who will fall on his sword after the public inquiry into election interference?

Probably everyone has heard of the Japanese samurai practice of “harakiri,” also called seppuku, or “falling on one’s sword.” This action, which apparently dates back to Roman times, refers to a ritual suicide by a soldier for something done wrong. The phrase is now used to describe anyone, most notably a high-level government official, who resigns after having taken responsibility for a mistake.

No one.

In Trudeau’s Canada people are more likely to eat food past its best-before date.

Grocery price inflation may finally be slowing across Canada, but as some food costs remain high, a new report has found many are open to consuming “risky foods” despite the potential health risks.

The report, set to be released Thursday by Dalhousie University’s Agri-Food Analytics Lab but provided to Global News in advance, found 58 per cent of respondents said higher prices made them more inclined to eat food close to or past its best-before date. About 37 per cent said their consumption habits haven’t changed.

Hamas Fave Justin Trudeau slams Pierre Poilievre over endorsement by conspiracy theorist Alex Jones

OTTAWA — Prime Minister Justin Trudeau intensified his criticism of Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre on Wednesday, when he linked his main challenger for power with an American conspiracy theorist who infamously spread lies about the mass murder of schoolchildren.

Trudeau delivered the broadside at a news conference in Oakville, when he was asked about a video circulating online in which Poilievre is shown telling people at an anti-carbon price demonstration that everything the prime minister says is “bulls—t.”

Canada bet big on immigration. Now it’s hitting the brakes.

KITCHENER, Ontario — Canada’s broad support for immigration, which Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has said is necessary to counter an aging labor force and low fertility rates, has set the country apart.

The United States’ closest neighbor is growing faster than its Group of Seven peers, as well as developing and more fertile countries such as India. In 2023, the population here grew by more than 1.2 million people, up 3.2 percent from the year before — the highest annual increase since 1957. About 98 percent came from immigration.

Vivian Bercovici: Trudeau’s response to Ottawa hate rally too little, too late

Late in the afternoon on Saturday, April 13, massive street parties popped up in Toronto, Montreal and elsewhere in Canada, celebrating the launch of over 300 ballistic missiles and attack drones by the Islamic Republic of Iran targeting sites in Israel.

On Oct. 7, 2023, while Hamas terrorists were still slaughtering, mutilating, burning and kidnapping civilians in Israel, spontaneous parties across Canada were in full swing. They were ecstatic, openly calling for the destruction of Israel and the killing of any and all Jews.

Canada’s deputy PM wouldn’t condemn pro-Hamas slogans as hate speech until she saw video of vile chants

Canadian Deputy Prime Minister Chrystia Freeland on Monday initially refused to condemn slogans celebrating the Oct. 7, 2023 terrorist attack on Israel as hate speech – until she watched a video of the vile chants.

Freeland, a member of Canada’s Liberal Party, plead ignorance when asked by a reporter if chants of “long live October 7th” and “October 7th proves we’re almost free” – both bellowed by anti-Israel protesters during a weekend demonstration in Ottawa – constitute hate speech.

Support for Chinese Regime Required to Access Canadian-Funded Scholar Exchange Program in Canada

Chinese candidates applying for a Canadian taxpayer-funded exchange program need to declare allegiance to the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) leadership and the Party’s “socialist system,” The Epoch Times has learned.

OTTAWA — One week after tabling the latest federal budget, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau remained on the defensive while responding to increasing opposition from business and industry groups against proposed changes to capital gains taxation.

Speaking to reporters during a budget promo tour stop in Saskatoon, Sask., Trudeau was repeatedly asked to respond to critiques of the key point of contention in last week’s budget: the increased capital gains tax inclusion rate.

Canada Post refusing to collect banned guns for Ottawa’s buyback program

Canada Post is refusing to collect firearms that were banned by the federal government in 2020, complicating Ottawa’s plans for a buyback program to remove 144,000 firearms from private hands, federal sources say.

The Crown corporation informed the government of its position in a recent letter. It said its decision was based on concerns about its employees’ security, according to federal sources who were not authorized to discuss the matter publicly.
