Before son, there was the father: Why Trudeaus have difficult relationship with India

Canada-India rift deepens

Before Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, there was Pierre Elliott Trudeau, his father and Canada’s 15th PM.

With his embracing of the Khalistani elements in Canada, Justin Trudeau ensured that ties with India nosedived. The trigger for the plunging relations was his unsubstantiated claims that India was behind the killing of Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar.

And before Justin Trudeau’s visit to India, first in 2018 and then in 2023 for the G20 Summit, came his father’s.

Sabrina Maddeaux: Trudeau Liberals shrugged for years as foreign interference multiplied

As Canadians wait to learn more about Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s explosive reveal of “credible allegations of a potential link between agents of the Government of India and the killing of a Canadian citizen,” questions continue to compound. The clearest thing right now is we need to know more about Hardeep Singh Nijjar’s murder and, based on how peer governments handled similar cases, there’s solid precedent for transparency about the evidence.

Trudeau Government Unresponsive to Taiwan’s Offer to Help With Beijing Interference, Committee Hears

The Canadian government has so far not responded to Taiwan’s invitation to share its experience battling Beijing’s information and interference activities, Taiwan’s de facto ambassador to Canada, Ho-Jen Tseng, told a House of Commons committee.

“No, we haven’t got a response from the Canadian side yet,” Mr. Tseng said during his testimony before the House of Commons National Defence Committee on Sept. 21.

Feds Just Putting on a ‘Show’ in Calling Out Grocers, Says Economist

The federal government’s threats against Canada’s big grocers is a “dog and pony show” to appease voters, says Concordia University economist Moshe Lander.

Voter pressure is on to lower food prices and the Liberals are slipping in the polls, so the government wants to look like it’s doing something, Mr. Lander told The Epoch Times.

Absolute bat shit, insane behaviour: Canadians lambast Justin Trudeau after he expells top Indian diplomat, accuses Indian agencies of killing Khalistani terrorist Nijjar

Hours after Justin Trudeau falsely accused the Indian government of killing a Khalistani terrorist named Hardeep Singh Nijjar on Canadian soil, his countrymen slammed him on social media for hurting ties with India.

Journalist Daniel Bordman was shocked at the shenanigans of the Canadian Prime Minister and his decision to expel a top Indian diplomat from the country.

They haven’t called Canada a state sponsor of terror, but it’s close

Just an FYI – Earlier I posted that CBC’s usual reliable sources like Katie Telford are claiming that “Canada has Indian diplomats’ communications in bombshell murder probe: sources”

It’s got some laughable clangers like this one: “Canadian sources say that, when pressed behind closed doors, no Indian official has denied the bombshell allegation at the core of this case — that there is evidence to suggest Indian government involvement in the assassination of a Canadian citizen on Canadian soil.”

CBC ran with the Russia Collusion hoax for years so you know they have excellent “sources.”

I don’t doubt India did OFF Nijjar, and they don’t care what Junior thinks about it.

Junior has to answer why Canada became a haven for the terrorists he obviously favours.

Trudeau declines to offer more evidence on Indian accusations

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau declined to offer more evidence to support his startling allegation that the Indian government was behind the murder of a Canadian, but said the decision to come forward was not taken lightly.

Trudeau was at the United Nations on Wednesday and Thursday, where he gave speeches on climate change and the war in Ukraine. On Monday, he stood in the House of Commons and said Canada had “credible allegations,” that Indian government agents were involved in the death of Hardeep Singh Nijjar, a Sikh community leader in Surrey, B.C.

Canada has Indian diplomats’ communications in bombshell murder probe: sources

The Canadian government has amassed both human and signals intelligence in a months-long investigation of a Sikh activist’s death that has inflamed relations with India, sources tell CBC News.

That intelligence includes communications involving Indian officials themselves, including Indian diplomats present in Canada, say Canadian government sources.

The intelligence did not come solely from Canada. Some was provided by an unnamed ally in the Five Eyes intelligence alliance.

“Sources” – I remember when CBC was certain of the Trump Russia Collusion “Sources”

It doesn’t change anything. The Indians offed a terrorist that the Trudeau government at best turned a blind eye to.

What did Junior think was going to happen?

Did he expect India to send him a thank you note?

Michael Higgins: Does Trudeau have what it takes to wage diplomatic war with India?

Foreign affairs are a minefield for Justin Trudeau but surely no one expected him to trigger an explosive diplomatic war with India.

This is now a defining moment for the prime minister who must prove himself either a strong and decisive leader or a weak and ineffectual politician. But does Trudeau possess the Churchillian spirit?

Junior is already in enough hot water having grossly overestimated international reaction to his accusation.

GOLDSTEIN: Public exposure best remedy to foreign interference

Whatever the outcome of the public inquiry into foreign interference headed by Quebec Court of Appeal Judge Marie-Josée Hogue, the process that led up to it has already been of benefit to Canadians.

Without it, it is difficult to believe Prime Minister Justin Trudeau would have announced in the House of Commons Monday that Canadian security and intelligence authorities are “actively pursuing credible allegations of a potential link between agents of the government of India” and the fatal shooting of Sikh leader Hardeep Singh Nijjar outside a Sikh temple in Surrey, B.C. on June 18.

Foreign Interference: RCMP investigate death of B.C. man targeted by China

The RCMP is investigating the death of a B.C. man who was a target of Operation Fox Hunt, a Chinese government campaign to pressure expatriates and silence opponents.

Wei Hu, a 57-year-old father of three, lived in a gated $2.8-million property on B.C.’s Harrison Lake. According to a friend, he was a critic of Beijing who left China in 2000.

But even in Canada, he could not escape the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), which issued a so-called Red Notice through Interpol seeking his arrest and return to China for supposed financial crimes.

Offed in 2021? The RCMP is only just getting round to this?

No stink will be raised about this of course.

The CSIS leaks happened because Justin wanted to normalize relations with his ChiCom friends.

Trudeau is a danger to our nation’s security.

Trudeau government has no means to deal with expected flood of 1.4 million international student applications a year by 2027, document shows

Ottawa forecasts 1.4 million international student applications a year by 2027, document shows

The number of foreign students applying to come to Canada each year is forecast by the federal immigration department to rise to 1.4 million by 2027, an internal policy document says, which also raises concerns that such growth is “unsustainable.”

Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada forecast the rapid rise in the number of foreign students in a paper last month about establishing a class of “trusted” universities and colleges, which would qualify for faster processing of international student study permits.

Give it Up CBC: Trudeau’s allegiance to Khalistani radicals & Communist China can’t be helping Canada’s standing in the Five Eye’s intelligence alliance

What are the ‘Five Eyes’? As Canada accuses India, what you need to know about the intelligence alliance

Following Canada’s accusation this week that agents with connections to the Indian government were responsible for the fatal shooting on Canadian soil of Hardeep Singh Nijjar, Canada’s Five Eyes allies have so far been reluctant to wade too deeply into the incident.

The CBC’s Evan Dyer reported this week that Canada had already indicated to the U.S. and the U.K. during and immediately following the G20 summit in New Delhi earlier this month that Canada’s already difficult relations with India were about to get even rockier.

Trudeau’s stewardship has isolated Canada with his dubious record of foreign allegiances.

Trudeau announced Canada would be a permanent NATO deadbeat.

We were not invited to join the AUKUS military alliance officially because we would not purchase nuclear subs but more likely because his government is riddled with ChiCom assets.

Alienating India by harboring Khalistani terrorists is not a good look among allies hoping to win India over as a counter to Justin’s admired basic dictatorship.

In short Canada is not a serious international partner, Junior has little more than Gender Language to offer.

They’re right! …

India calls Canada a ‘safe haven for terrorists’ as it suspends visa services for Canadians

India’s visa processing centre in Canada suspended services Thursday as a rift widened between the countries after Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said India may have been involved in the killing of a Canadian Sikh leader.

“Important notice from Indian Mission: Due to operational reasons, with effect from 21 Sept. Indian visa services have been suspended [until] further notice,” the BLS Indian Visa Application Center in Canada said in a statement.

At least nine separatist organisations supporting terror groups have bases in Canada and despite multiple deportation requests, Ottawa has taken no action against those involved in heinous crimes, including the killing of popular Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala, officials in New Delhi said on Tuesday.

Justin’s foreign allegiances are dangerous for Canada.

Carson Jerema: For Trudeau, a foreign policy mess over India may be the entire point

Causing an international incident with India over allegations the Narendra Modi government is behind the murder of a Canadian citizen could be exactly the point. For Justin Trudeau, seeking justice and affirming sovereignty might be secondary to the political benefits of causing a scene.
