Don’t expect anyone to be held accountable for the latest debacle in Ottawa as Marco Mendicino isn’t resigning and he said he won’t fire anyone either. Justin Trudeau’s public safety minister has been under fire for weeks over his handling of Paul Bernardo’s transfer and of China’s interference in Canada.

A WEF of Sh*t: Federal government introduces ‘just transition’ sustainable jobs act

OTTAWA — Declaring his government’s intentions to plan for the future instead of “hoping for the best,” Prime Minister Justin Trudeau advanced the next steps toward transitioning Canada to a net-zero, low-carbon economy.
The government will table today its long anticipated legislation on the “Just Transition” to a sustainable economy.
Canada’s population will hit 40 million Friday … But there’s no labour shortage and asylum seekers are sleeping on the street in Toronto

Despite setbacks during COVID-19, Canada’s population is now growing at a “record-setting pace” and will soon pass the 40 million mark, reads a new update from Statistics Canada.
According to StatCan’s real-time population clock, Canada’s numbers will hit the 40 million mark just before 3 p.m. EST Friday, the organization said.
Given the housing shortage and the strain all services are suffering Trudeau’s mass immigration scam is a cruel and heartless act inflicted on Canadians.
It’s a sleazy plan concocted by Junior’s fellow China class crony Dominic Barton & others that will solely benefit the Corporate Class.
There is no labour shortage and asylum seekers are sleeping on the street.
Contrary to Junior’s Star this is nothing to celebrate as mass immigration is a criminal fraud in progress..
Only the People’s Party is speaking out about this travesty.
Trudeau’s Sustainable Jobs Act no more than environmental evangelism

Whatever you call it — Just Transition, Clean Transition or the Sustainable Jobs Act — the “green” energy legislation introduced by the Trudeau Liberals on Thursday answers none of Alberta’s legitimate concerns. It ignores Premier Danielle Smith’s offer, made the night she was re-elected, to sit down with the feds for joint discussions on emission reductions, and how best to achieve them.
Chinese Diplomat Keynote Speaker With Senators Woo and Oh at Montreal Event Opposing Foreign Agent Registry

The top Chinese diplomat based in Montreal was a keynote speaker at a recent event in that city opposing the establishment of a foreign agent registration act. Senators Yuen Pau Woo and Victor Oh, who also oppose a registry, attended the event as well and voiced opposition to such legislation.
Dai Yuming, the Chinese consul general in Montreal, delivered a speech at the event titled “Reflection Forum of the 100th Anniversary of the Enactment of the Chinese Exclusion Act in Canada,” organized by the Montreal Chinese Community United Centre on May 28.
Blackie’s Star: Majority Of Poorly Informed People Surveyed Support Trudeau’s Burgeoning VW & Stellantis Folly

Three-quarters of Canadians are in favour of hefty government subsidies to Stellantis and Volkswagen, a new poll suggests.
… Only 21 per cent of respondents said they were “familiar” with the issue, while 39 per cent had not “heard about it before today” and 40 per cent had “heard about it” but were unfamiliar with the specifics.
… Using online panels based on the Lucid exchange platform, Abacus surveyed 2,000 people between June 6 and 11.
Talk about polishing a Turdeau.
Trudeau pledged billions to fight climate change. A Star reality check found much of that money hasn’t been spent

OTTAWA — The federal government failed to spend billions of dollars it pledged on a host of climate change initiatives in recent years, raising questions about one of Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s core policy commitments and the massive funding publicly devoted to it, a Star analysis has found.
The revelation sheds light on the sometimes stark difference between what the government intends to do and what it delivers. It also highlights concerns about whether the federal bureaucracy can meet the climate crisis with the urgency it demands, as the Trudeau Liberals boast of making $200 billion in long-term “climate commitments” since they took office in 2015.
Asylum seekers sleeping on Toronto streets as at-capacity city shelters overwhelmed … and housing starts decline 23% nationally

Two weeks after the City of Toronto said it would begin referring refugee claimants seeking beds in its at-capacity shelter system to federal programs, asylum seekers who recently arrived in Canada are struggling to find places to sleep.
Birck Teklau arrived in Toronto from Ethiopia on June 3 hoping to claim asylum because, he says, of political persecution in his home country.
The 34-year-old says he’s been sleeping on the streets ever since — after being turned away from the city’s shelter system day after day.
“I tried many times…. They say that we don’t have [a] place,” Teklau said in an interview. “I never expected this from Canada.”
Perfect Manufactured Storm … Annual rate of housing starts in Canada fell 23% in May
Canada Mortgage and Housing Corp. says the annual pace of housing starts in May dropped 23 per cent compared with April as starts of apartments, condos and other types of multi-unit housing projects in Vancouver, Toronto and Montreal fell.
The national housing agency says the seasonally adjusted annual rate of housing starts was 202,494 units in May, down from 261,357 units in April.
Justin Trudeau’s government is in trouble and needs a major change. Here are 4 things he could do

It is bad news for Justin Trudeau’s government that a majority of Canadians are looking for change, as Abacus Data reported this week.
It is also bad news that in Ottawa, even among some loyal Liberals, there is growing discussion about a need for change — a reset, on a fairly major scale.
Trudeau and his team would be wise to pay attention to this clamour for change, inside and outside Parliament. To borrow from that old saying from Mahatma Gandhi, this is a government that needs to be the change that people are seeking.
Trudeau is incapable of change, he believes what his mirror tells him and it is a bigger liar than he is.
National security in shambles under Justin Trudeau

After several months of the Trudeau government’s stonewalling and a series of transparently brazen attempts to draw the curtains down on the clandestine operations Beijing put in motion to the Liberals’ advantage during the 2019 and 2021 federal elections, some good news. It came Tuesday during RCMP commissioner Michael Duheme’s testimony before the House of Commons committee on procedure and house affairs.
Ottawa’s Promise to Plant 2 Billion Trees Not ‘Realistic’: Environment Commissioner

Environment Commissioner Jerry DeMarco said on June 13 that the Liberal government needs to implement more “realistic” initiatives, saying the 2019 promise of planting two billion trees can not be done without the provinces’ participation.
“They need to concentrate much more on results,” DeMarco testified at the House of Commons natural resources committee. “This is a theme of a lot of our reports: They have to be realistic with their programs.”
The whole Green-Scam is a lie.
Liberals to find themselves faultless in review of Canada’s China Class Grift with ChiCom led development bank

Ottawa launching review of Canada’s membership in China-led development bank
Deputy Prime Minister Chrystia Freeland says Ottawa is launching a review of Canada’s membership in the China-led Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank as well as allegations raised by a former bank staffer who accused it of being “dominated by the Communist Party.”
Bob Pickard, the Canadian who was global communications director for the bank, resigned Tuesday from the institution, decrying what he called its “toxic culture” and urging Canada to withdraw from this “People’s Republic of China instrument”.
WHAT A GREAT GRIFT IDEA! LET’S PARTNER WITH A COMMUNST SLAVE STATE!
The Trudeau Liberal Government applied to become a member and here is Bill Morneau being welcomed by the president of the bank. Cry-stia Freeloader knew about and supported this bank for YEARS and just now thinks moving against it will indemnify her or protect her from her… pic.twitter.com/Bmoy4iY0Jt

Ottawa’s deal to lure VW will cost $16.3B — $3B more than publicly announced, estimates show

OTTAWA—The deal to lure Volkswagen’s giant electric vehicle battery plant to Canada will cost the federal treasury $16.3 billion, the Parliamentary Budget Office estimates.
In a new report released Wednesday, the PBO says that over the life of the agreement — which promises to match U.S.-style subsidies until 2033 — the cost to land the German carmaker’s “gigafactory” in St. Thomas will likely be $3 billion more than Ottawa has publicly announced.
They just lie and lie and lie …
Chrystia Freeland disputes report VW deal will cost $16.3B — $3B more than publicly announced
… But it could cost more than expected because in order to level the playing field with the U.S. — as the federal Liberals have promised — Ottawa would have to give VW tax breaks on future corporate income taxes, which it calculates at another $2.8 billion.
That’s because Canada’s income tax law “stipulates that any amount of money received by a business from a government in the form of a contribution, grant, or subsidy is included in the consideration of income if that amount has not been deducted from the capital cost of property acquired … and is therefore subject to applicable corporate income taxes,” the PBO said.
As We Dither Over a Public Inquiry, Beijing Continues Its Subterfuge in Canada

Canada is not that big a deal on the world stage.
Don’t get me wrong, I am a proud, loyal Canadian and love my country. It is just that we don’t really matter that much on the global scene. Our economy is the 10th largest in the world, which isn’t bad but could be better. When it comes to population we rank 39th. Defence? We come in at 20th out of NATO’s 31 members. Meh.
Access-to-information system has suffered ‘steady decline’ under Trudeau government: watchdog

OTTAWA — The federal government’s key transparency provision has steadily eroded to the point where it no longer serves its intended purpose, says information commissioner Caroline Maynard.
In her annual report to Parliament tabled Tuesday, Maynard said chronic issues continue to plague the access-to-information system, with no solutions in sight.
For a $5 fee, Canadians can use the access law to request federal records, from briefing notes and reports to emails and invoices.
