Liberals add 20,000 to permanent political class

PANDEMIC HIRING BOOM: Federal government added nearly 20,000 workers in a single year

The Trudeau administration spent so much money during the first year of the pandemic that it was easy to lose track of the profound growth taking place in the size of the federal government’s workforce.

Employment across the country jumped more than six per cent year over year to 319,600 for all departments and agencies, according to data compiled by Treasury Board. That’s an increase of nearly 20,000 between the first three months of 2020 and the same period last year.

20 thousand more Liberal party voters robbing us blind.

GUNTER: Trudeau’s magic wand eco-measures are under scrutiny

This has been a bad couple of weeks for the Trudeau government’s magic wand plans to save the planet.

What do I mean by “magic wand?” Those are “green” measures we are assured will prevent climate change without costing jobs, reducing our standard of living or even making us notice much of a change in our daily lives.

Social media needs to be held accountable for Russian propaganda & any forms of disinformation, Mélanie Joly says … Will they go after Freedolph?

OTTAWA—For Foreign Affairs Minister Mélanie Joly, there is one tool that’s not only paved the way for, but sustained, Russia’s invasion of Ukraine: disinformation.

And she wants to position Canada as a leader in tackling misleading content online, starting with social media.

“Propaganda is not only happening in Russia, it’s happening in new virtual battlegrounds, which are our social media companies,” Joly said Friday in conversation with Janice Stein, founding director of the University of Toronto’s Munk School of Global Affairs.

“So what Canada will be doing, and what I want to make sure that we push even more … is (that) social media companies need to do more to prevent propaganda, and to counter any forms of disinformation,” the minister added.

Disinformation? Would that include Freedolph’s successful effort to have the bought and paid for media white-wash her Nazi scarf photo-op?

Ontario confirms 16 more COVID-19 deaths; ICU occupancy continues to drop

Ontario confirmed 16 more COVID-19 deaths and 185 patients in intensive care on Saturday, as the province prepares to lift mask mandates in most indoor settings on Monday.

The Ministry of Health says 13 of the deaths occurred in the past month and three of the deaths happened more than one month ago.

Tam says the federal government is ‘examining’ all vaccine mandates

Canada’s chief public health officer said Friday the federal government is actively reviewing all of its vaccine mandates with an eye to ending rules that force some people to get their COVID-19 shots.

Speaking at a press conference with reporters, Dr. Theresa Tam said the country’s public health officials are at a “very important juncture” and COVID-19 policies may soon shift from “an emphasis on requirements to recommendations.”

MPs told of confusion, panic after Liberals vowed financial crackdown on convoy

The voice of Canadian credit unions says their members watched people make significant withdrawals after the federal government vowed a financial crackdown on the so-called “freedom convoy.”

… Martha Durdin, president and CEO of the Canadian Credit Union Association, said the combined effect was a degree of panic among Canadians that their accounts could be frozen because they made small donations to the convoy.

She said that led to Canadians withdrawing large amounts from their credit union accounts, sometimes in the hundreds of thousands and, on a few occasions, millions of dollars.

Canada’s compensated confiscation of guns could start this spring

The Trudeau government may be calling it a gun “buyback,” but they’re not talking about asking Canadian citizens to turn in unwanted guns in exchange for gift cards. Instead, Liberals in charge in Canada will be demanding that the lawful owners of more than 1,500 models of firearms hand them over to the government in exchange for some cash. If they don’t, they’ll be considered criminals in illegal possession of a forbidden weapon.

Freeland’s office “pressured” legacy media to change stories critical of her tacit support for Nazis

The legacy media in Canada is every bit as dishonest and corrupted as you and I suspect. Last month when True North broke the story of Deputy PM Chrystia Freeland holding a Nazi banner at a Ukrainian rally in Toronto, a handful of legacy media reporters picked up our scoop.

Most wrote their stories according to Freelend’s Liberal spin – that Freeland had done nothing wrong, the any critics of the Liberals were spreading “Russian disinformation” and that True North’s journalists were to blame for writing this story.

This shit will sap support for Ukraine.

Inflation hit 5.7% in February. Economists say it hasn’t peaked

Statistics Canada says the annual inflation rate climbed to 5.7 per cent in February, with economists pointing to the war in Ukraine as one of the significant factors pushing the price index to its highest point since August 1991.

Helping to drive the increase in February were higher gasoline prices that were up 32.3 per cent compared with February 2021 and 6.9 per cent from a month earlier.

Statistics Canada says that excluding gasoline prices, the headline inflation rate would have been 4.7 per cent in February.

In other words Trudeau’s Carbon tax thievery will make it worse.

U.S. Lawmakers Table Bill To Prevent Trudeau-Style Authoritarian Crackdown

Although they didn’t originate the term, Canada’s Liberal government have redefined the phrase more to the story than meets the eye.” A rarity it is to uncover a decision made by Prime Minister Justin Trudeau devoid of stealth and subterfuge.

Our most recent example arrives via government’s response to the Ottawa Truckers Convoy. Most Canadians are familiar with one ramification– a freezing of bank accounts as punitive measures against organizers and participants.

Behind the surface is found unexplored territory of government overreach. So much so that lawmakers in the United States want to protect American citizens from the neo-communist crackdowns occurring in Canada.
