The Thirty Tyrants – The deal that the American elite chose to make with China has a precedent in the history of Athens and Sparta

In Chapter 5 of The Prince, Niccolo Machiavelli describes three options for how a conquering power might best treat those it has defeated in war. The first is to ruin them; the second is to rule directly; the third is to create “therein a state of the few which might keep it friendly to you.”

Chasing the Dragon

Chasing the Dragon

On his first full day in office, President Joe Biden signed a massive executive order that, among other things, killed the Keystone XL pipeline project. Buried in that same order were two short sentences that will allow the Chinese government to get into the American electrical grid.

Located at Section 7(c), the order reverses a previous directive by the Trump administration last May, which found that “foreign adversaries are increasingly creating and exploiting vulnerabilities in the United States bulk-power system, which provides the electricity that supports our national defense, vital emergency services, critical infrastructure, economy, and way of life.”

OTTAWA – Despite the nearly 800-day arbitrary detention of two Canadians and a “genocide” of Uyghur Muslims in China, the Trudeau government is allowing the Canadian Olympic Committee to make the decision alone on participation in the 2022 Beijing Olympics.

Gutless suck ups.

GUNTER: Vaccine failure is Trudeau’s greatest scandal

Last week I wrote that Canada was No. 18 in vaccinating its population. As of Monday, according to Oxford University’s vaccine tracker, Canada had dropped to No. 28.

On Sunday, the U.S. inoculated 1.5 million people. On a per capita basis, the Brits did even better; they got 600,000 vaccinated.

Wuhan or Wu-Tang? Canadian diplomat’s T-shirt “Bat” logo angers Communist Slave State China

BEIJING — Canada said it regretted a “misunderstanding” after China lodged a formal complaint over a diplomat’s order of a custom T-shirt displaying the word Wuhan, the city where the COVID-19 pandemic first emerged, over the emblem of hip-hop group Wu-Tang Clan.

The logo of the American group is a stylized “W.” Reports of the T-shirt order circulating on China’s Twitter-like Weibo described it as depicting a bat, without mentioning Wu-Tang Clan. Many scientists suspect bats to have been a reservoir for COVID-19 before it jumped to humans.

China Central Television station in Africa

From infrastructure development to trade, film, and education — there’s no doubt China’s presence in Africa is having a significant influence on the continent.

But how has China been winning the so-called ‘war of hearts and minds’ of more than one billion Africans?

“For China, propaganda has positive connotations, it is seen as a proactive tool in educating and shaping opinions to contribute to a ‘harmonious society,'” Ivana Karaskova, an expert on Chinese foreign and security policy, said during a virtual panel discussionon Friday. The event, dubbed ‘Telling China’s story well — Beijing’s attempts to reign into media in Africa and Europe,’ was organized by the Mercator Institute for China Studies (MERICS).

Canadians in Hong Kong are pawns caught in China’s game

Beijing’s announcement that it will no longer recognize the British national (overseas) passport as a valid travel document will send chills through Chinese-Canadians living in Hong Kong.

But the broader context is a delicate political game over the future of millions of Hong Kongers who hold dual nationality. At least one Chinese-Canadian has already been caught up in the political intrigue.

China Doesn’t Have to Lift a Finger to Push Biden Around

The Biden administration has just endorsed one of China’s most vicious attack lines against the United States.

The new administration’s actions look as if they are setting a pattern for its responses to Beijing on the disease and other matters.

On January 26, Biden signed his executive order titled “Memorandum Condemning and Combating Racism, Xenophobia, and Intolerance Against Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders in the United States.”

China gene firm providing worldwide COVID tests worked with Chinese military – may be harvesting American’s DNA

SYDNEY (Reuters) – BGI Group, the world’s largest genomics company, has worked with China’s military on research that ranges from mass testing for respiratory pathogens to brain science, a Reuters review of research, patent filings and other documents has found.

…But top U.S. security officials have warned American labs against using Chinese tests because of concern China was seeking to gather foreign genetic data for its own research. BGI has denied that.

…Chinese technology companies have come under increasing scrutiny by the United States and were subject to mounting restrictions under the administration of Donald Trump. In November, the Department of Commerce proposed a rule to add gene editing software to the U.S. export control list, saying it could be used to create biological weapons. Officials in the new administration of President Joe Biden have signalled a continued tough approach to what they see as a rising threat from Beijing.

So long as President 10% gets his cut everything is AOK!

China warns Taiwan independence ‘means war’ as US pledges support

China has warned Taiwan that any attempt to seek independence “means war”.

The warning comes days after China stepped up its military activities and flew warplanes near the island.

It also comes after new US President Joe Biden reaffirmed his commitment to Taiwan, and set out his stance in Asia.

The US has called China’s latest warning “unfortunate”, adding that tensions did not need to lead to “anything like confrontation”.

China knows they have nothing to fear from Hunter Biden’s Daddy.

CSIS warns Canadian universities about Alibaba’s online platform

Canada’s spy agency warned Canadian universities in August to be wary of using Chinese technology, including a service offered by e-commerce company Alibaba to help students based in China take online Zoom classes in this country.

Alibaba, which has come under close scrutiny from China’s ruling Communist Party after its billionaire founder, Jack Ma, ran afoul of President Xi Jinping, provides an accelerated virtual private network server so students in China can attend Zoom classes without lag. Alibaba’s “Alibaba Global Accelerator” service is marketed as a solution to avoid network congestion and reduce delays in communication.
