The United States has launched a crackdown on so-called Chinese police stations operating on its soil using a legal mechanism that doesn’t exist in Canada, at least not yet — a registry of foreign agents.

U.S. authorities this week announced they had shut down what they referred to as a Chinese police station in lower Manhattan.

The criminal charges they laid were against two American citizens who allegedly failed to register their work on behalf of the People’s Republic of China.

The two businessmen linked to the Chinese regime who donated to the Pierre Elliott Trudeau Foundation in 2016 met with federal ministers on several different occasions.

Zhang Bin, president of the regime-backed China Cultural Industry Association (CCIA), and his colleague Niu Gensheng, an adviser to the CCIA, had reached a deal in 2014 to donate $200,000 to the Trudeau Foundation and $800,000 to the Université de Montréal (UdeM), where former prime minister Pierre Trudeau used to study and teach.

Pentagon papers reveal China’s ability to ‘hijack’ western military satellites

The scale of China’s ability to target, disrupt and even capture America’s network of orbiting surveillance and communications satellites in time of war has been revealed in a leaked classified intelligence document.

The CIA-stamped document dated this year refers to China’s ability to “deny, exploit or hijack” an adversary’s satellites, the Financial Times reported.

The Pierre Elliott Trudeau Foundation is governed by a board of up to 18 directors, and Canada’s industry minister has the power to appoint two of those directors, something charity expert Kate Bahen says she has never seen before.

It’s “highly unusual” for the government to have this influence on a charity, even when the government gives an endowment, Bahen told The Epoch Times.

The Department of Justice (DOJ) charged thirty-four Chinese National Police Officers on Monday with allegedly perpetrating a transnational repression scheme targeting United States residents. The DOJ alleges the defendants committed conspiracy to transmit interstate or foreign threats.

India to overtake China as country with biggest population

India is poised to overtake China to become the most populous country in history in the next three months.

According to new data from the United Nations population fund (UNFPA), India’s population will be 1.4286 billion by the middle of the year compared with 1.4257 billion for China, a gap of 2.9 million.

The country in third place, the United States, is more than a billion people behind with 340 million people.

Asked this week about the need for Ottawa to create a foreign influence registry, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau invoked the internment of Japanese-Canadians in the Second World War and warned against the dangers of creating “registries of foreigners in Canada.”

The one thing has nothing to do with the other, as we will show. So the question becomes, why is Mr. Trudeau sowing confusion about a registry that exists in the United States and Australia, and which, somehow, has not led to the mass incarceration of citizens in those countries?

Race baiting is what Trudeau does.

U.S. officials are concerned that Beijing has potentially compromised American defense agencies via banned video surveillance equipment sold in disguise to government suppliers, according to the recently leaked Pentagon documents.

One of the leaked documents (written by the Defense Intelligence Agency, DIA) names the Chinese video surveillance camera producer Hikvision, which has been banned in the U.S. under the National Defense Authorization Act since 2019, purporting that the company frequently engages in “white-labeling”—a process in which their products are being rebranded by resellers in order to access markets that are restricted for the original brand.

China ready to broker Israel-Palestine peace talks, says foreign minister

China’s foreign minister told his Israeli and Palestinian counterparts his country is ready to help facilitate peace talks, state media reported.

The separate phone calls between Chinese foreign minister, Qin Gang, and the Israeli and Palestinian top diplomats comes amid recent moves by Beijing to position itself as a regional mediator.

Qin encouraged “steps to resume peace talks,” and said that “China is ready to provide convenience for this,” in a Monday phone call with Israeli foreign minister Eli Cohen, state media agency Xinhua reported.

Experts Consulted for Public Health Agency Report Say Capitalism, White Supremacy Partly to Blame for Climate Change

… “It’s really about the foundations of our society, the capitalist system, the culture of extraction, and we need to change that. How do we do that?” one expert asked in the report released on April 17.

“If we don’t address capitalism, if we don’t address colonialism, racism, the patriarchy etcetera we are going to tread water for a long time until we eventually drown,” said another.

The report, titled, “What We Heard: Perspectives On Climate Change And Public Health In Canada,” was commissioned by Canada’s Chief Public Health Officer Theresa Tam in order to analyze the impact of climate change on the health and well-being of Canadians, as well as to identify “how public health systems need to be strengthened to undertake this work.”

I have always thought Tam was working for the ChiComs for some reason.
