The federal government has trumpeted previous vaccine partnerships with a China-based company as one of the reasons why Canada was pinning its hopes on a COVID-19 vaccine candidate from China early in the pandemic.

But The Fifth Estate has reviewed those partnerships and found that a collaboration with McMaster University in Hamilton stalled years ago and never resulted in an approved vaccine anywhere in the world.

… After the deal fell apart, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau told reporters that the reason Canada partnered with CanSino was because of the “well-established partnership” between scientists in Canada and China “that has been effective in the past.”

Ontario reported 70 more COVID-19 deaths and over 3,600 hospitalizations today, as the number of patients in intensive care dropped for a third straight day.

There are currently 3,645 patients hospitalized with the virus in Ontario, down from 4,016 yesterday and from 4,061 a week ago, according to the Ministry of Health.

OTTAWA – Prime Minister Justin Trudeau says he is isolating at home after learning that he was exposed to someone who had tested positive for COVID-19.

The prime minister says in a tweet that he learned about the exposure just last night.

He says the result of a rapid antigen test he took was negative, but he is following local public health rules and isolating for five days.

He made the comments in a press conference Wednesday evening, on the heels of Global News reports that far-right and white nationalist groups see the convoy as an opportunity.

Trudeau was elected by something like 22% of eligible voters… sounds pretty fringey to me.

NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh today condemned a convoy of truckers and others travelling to Ottawa to protest a federal rule requiring that all cross-border drivers be vaccinated against COVID-19.

Singh said some of the people behind the demonstration are pushing “false information” through “inflammatory, divisive and hateful comments.”

Ottawa braces for ‘significant’ trucker convoy disruptions as police warn of risks

Ottawa police say they have been in touch with leaders of a trucker convoy over weekend protest plans in the capital and are getting ready for several scenarios — including violence.

Chief Peter Sloly told the police services board Wednesday that he is working with the RCMP and intelligence bodies to prepare for the protests against a COVID-19 vaccine mandate for cross-border truckers — as well as the counterprotests expected against the demonstrators.

New York Enters Constitutional Crisis Territory After Schools Disobey Court Order on Mask Freedom

As RedState reported previously, a judge in New York struck down the state’s mask mandate, put in place by interim Gov. Kathy Hochul, making it illegal for schools to deny access to students who chose not to wear a mask. While that decision has been appealed, there is no stay in effect and the governor’s order is currently not law.

Biden did the same thing. When the courts struck down his vax mandates, he said ‘Do it anyway’. We are no longer a nation of laws.

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis Responds to Biden Administration Effort to Block COVID Treatments and Kill Floridians

Late yesterday [Monday] evening, without notice, the Biden FDA blocked monoclonal antibody treatments by revoking the emergency use authorization for the therapeutic.  Today thousands of Floridians wake up to hear they are no longer eligible for treatment.  Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is furious.

  1. My Cardiologist and GP both agreed to treat me with monoclonal antibodies, a steroid, an antibiotic, Zinc, and Vitamin D3 if I needed it. They have both been doing very successful outpatient therapy with this combination. So that’s no longer possible. This is evil.
  2. I have filed an FOIA with the FDA requesting “any and all information you can provide about why these treatments are no longer allowed to be administered in the United States.” So if I suddenly vanish, you’ll know why.
  3. Biden and the FDA are punishing Florida for being a red state and being successful with the monoclonal antibody injection stations DeSantis set up all over the state. Biden and the FDA are intentionally killing people because of their political ideology. Nuremberg territory.
