Don’t believe anything you read about the Sunshine State until you fact-check it yourself.

Florida governor Ron DeSantis’s unofficial motto, outlined in his New York Times bestselling book, is to make America Florida. The GOP primary—and, if DeSantis wins it, the general election—will be a referendum on Florida. So the media are selling a dishonest narrative that Florida is a repressive and awful state—one where books get banned, the word “gay” can’t be spoken, black history is forbidden in schools, and migrants, LGBTs, and other oppressed groups live in fear for their lives.

Electric vehicles and the evacuation of Florida

Electric vehicles and hurricanes: the nightmare scenario is a mandated evacuation.

It is fortunate that as of the current moment, electric vehicles constitute only about 100,000, out of nearly 8 million vehicles registered to drive on Florida’s roads. What if they all were electric, the (impractical) dream dream of greenies?

Depending on how heavily loaded they were, even assuming everyone had a full battery charge, cars from southern Florida would start running out of juice after 100 – 250 miles. They would then have to spend hours at recharging stations, which would rapidly be clogged with other cars and trucks ….

Those cars that ran out of juice on the highway would block traffic. Even assuming that emergency service vehicles could get to them (unlikely if the entire fleet were electric cars), towing a portable generator (powered by fossil fuels, of course) …

In all likelihood, the highways would become vast parking lots, trapping their passengers wherever they happened to be stalled, waiting for the storm and flood waters to reach them, unable to get to safety.

Florida school district doubles down on offering porn in schools

In March, I began documenting schools across the country carrying the pornographic book, Gender Queer. The book details sexually explicit acts (e.g., oral sex) and is becoming increasingly accessible to school children. I took a screenshot of the book’s availability at a school district in Florida, Hillsborough County School District (HCSD), and saved it with the others.

This week, I decided to go back and review the schools that previously offered the book to see if it was still available, as Gender Queer has faced intense scrutiny for its provocative content. HCSD, which had Gender Queer available in March, suddenly appeared to have removed the book, with the website saying the availability was “unknown.” Another page said it that was “unavailable.”

Seeing this I thought, “Wow… maybe this district isn’t totally rotten to the core and quietly removed the book.” I hadn’t seen any media coverage about HCSD, which is the 7th largest school district in the country, removing the book. I decided to reach out to HCSD’s library team via email to get some information on the new status.

The response was quick and the HCSD Director of Public Relations, Erin Maloney, explained that Gender Queer “has not been removed” and it was simply a technical error.

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis Responds to Biden Administration Effort to Block COVID Treatments and Kill Floridians

Late yesterday [Monday] evening, without notice, the Biden FDA blocked monoclonal antibody treatments by revoking the emergency use authorization for the therapeutic.  Today thousands of Floridians wake up to hear they are no longer eligible for treatment.  Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is furious.

  1. My Cardiologist and GP both agreed to treat me with monoclonal antibodies, a steroid, an antibiotic, Zinc, and Vitamin D3 if I needed it. They have both been doing very successful outpatient therapy with this combination. So that’s no longer possible. This is evil.
  2. I have filed an FOIA with the FDA requesting “any and all information you can provide about why these treatments are no longer allowed to be administered in the United States.” So if I suddenly vanish, you’ll know why.
  3. Biden and the FDA are punishing Florida for being a red state and being successful with the monoclonal antibody injection stations DeSantis set up all over the state. Biden and the FDA are intentionally killing people because of their political ideology. Nuremberg territory.

I noticed the difference – the logical easing of draconian restrictions – as soon as I crossed the border into the United States a month ago and started driving south. In most places where I stopped – from West Virginia to Charlotte, North Carolina to Savannah, Georgia – masks were not a must unless we took an Uber.

One doctor in Florida was suspended from his job due to Joe Biden’s vaccine mandate, Governor Ron DeSantis explained.

Biden is forcing health care workers to receive the drug injected into their arms or else they could lose employment. The mandate fails to provide exemptions for legitimate health concerns or religious reasons.
