Anti-lockdown protests spread in China as anger rises over zero-Wuhan-Flu strategy

Protests against China’s stringent Covid restrictions have intensified, as a wave of civil disobedience triggered by a deadly fire in the far west reached levels in the mainland not seen since Xi Jinping assumed power a decade ago.

At Beijing’s elite Tsinghua University, students shouted “freedom will prevail” and called for an end to lockdowns, while crowds also returned to Middle Urumqi Road in Shanghai for a second day, and pushed down pandemic barricades in Wuhan.

British Medical Journal’s outrageous bid to smear Covid dissenting doctors

LAST week the British Medical Journal published an article that was extraordinary even by its own very variable standards, entitled Understanding and neutralising Covid-19 misinformation and disinformation.

You will have no problem guessing the content of this patently unscientific piece of propaganda. It was clearly targeted at the doctors and scientists whose evidence-based research and professional observations and medical experiences have given them no option but to challenge and question the official Covid narrative.

China Xinjiang: Urumqi rocked by Covid lockdown protests after deadly fire

Videos shared on social media in China have appeared to show fresh protests against Covid restrictions, after an apartment block fire killed 10 people.

People in Urumqi are seen confronting officials, breaking down a barrier and shouting “end the Covid lockdown”.

Infections have hit new highs in China in spite of a tough zero-Covid policy.

Authorities in Urumqi have now promised to phase out restrictions – though deny that these stopped people escaping Thursday’s fire.

How China’s Covert Operations Fooled the World

The biggest deception China has successfully perpetuated in the West is that it would rise peacefully, gradually liberalize and present enormous business opportunities. Behind that veneer of reform, Beijing has played a masterful influence game, ensnaring governments, academia, think tanks, cultural groups, and businesses in the West to further its goal of global preeminence.

Our Corporate and Political classes sold us out.

Alberta government bans school mask mandates, online-only learning

No Alberta schools or pre-kindergarten classes can require students to wear masks to attend school, says a new provincial government regulation.

The rules, which take effect today, also prevent almost every Alberta school from shifting Grade 1 to 12 classes to a solely online format.

Kindergarten and pre-kindergarten classes are excluded and schools in sensitive settings such as hospitals may be exempt from the rules.

Zero-Covid China asks: Is World Cup on another planet?

Chinese state media have given huge attention to the World Cup this week, but the matches are fuelling frustrations that people in the country are being left out of the celebrations.

On top of China’s men’s national team not qualifying for the event, scenes of maskless celebrations and raucous gatherings in Qatar have irritated viewers, who have been discouraged from gathering to watch the games.

Many have used the World Cup to complain online about China’s existing strategies. The country maintains a zero-Covid policy, where entire communities are locked down over single cases of the virus, in order to prevent it from spreading.

A sweet goodbye to ‘The Science’

I have always hated goodbyes, whether something so simple as seeing someone off at the airport after an enjoyable visit or a more difficult final goodbye to parents after long, rich lives, and a sibling gone well before his time. I have never found even the smallest bit of joy in a goodbye. Granted, in a long life, there have been a number of good riddances, but I’m not counting those.

So this goodbye was a bit different for me. Today, I heard a goodbye that was music to my ears, even symphonic. Dr. Anthony “Phony Tony” Fauci said goodbye to the nation as White House chief medical adviser.

UK experts helped shut down Covid lab leak theory – weeks after being told it might be true

Top scientists including Sir Patrick Vallance were warned that Covid-19 could have evolved in laboratory animals, but collaborated in a paper which shut down the lab leak theory, it has emerged.

The paper, “The proximal origin of SARS-CoV-2,” published in Nature Medicine in March 2020, argued that a natural spillover event caused the pandemic, and was hugely instrumental in stifling debate into the origins of the virus.

But newly released emails from early 2020 show that in the weeks before publication the authors held lengthy discussions with experts, including Sir Patrick and Sir Jeremy Farrar, the head of the Wellcome Trust.

Wuhan Flu is rising again in China

China has seen its first deaths from Covid-19 in six months, and thousands more people are catching the disease, despite the government’s strict lockdown policy.

The World Health Organization (WHO) has said China should rethink its strategy.

On Sunday 20 November alone, there were 26,824 new cases recorded in China. That is close to the peak back in April 2022.

Good.

The lockdown cancer wave has only just begun

Advocates for harsh Covid measures are finally waking up to what they have done

The underreported story of the entire pandemic is excess deaths — not from Covid, but from other health conditions which were so brutally pushed to one side. There have been huge rises in the number of people dying from causes unrelated to the virus, accelerating throughout the year and showing no signs of slowing down.

Looking back at Canada’s plan to tax the unvaccinated

Back in January of this year, the Canadian province of Quebec announced a plan to impose a tax on the unvaccinated. Officials there claimed that most of the impacts on the healthcare system were being caused by unvaccinated people and that the vaccinated should not be made to shoulder the costs. The following month, after a large outcry from the public, the plan was scrapped. But the government never gave up on the idea entirely. Some are still suggesting that the plan could be retooled and brought up for consideration again.

US Army Seeks to Force Out Soldiers Claiming Religious Exemption to Vaccine Mandate, Service Members Claim

The U.S. Army is belittling and putting pressure on soldiers who are seeking religious accommodation to the vaccine mandate, according to two officers who have refused to take the jab. Prohibiting off-base travel and promotions are only a small part of the greater push to compel service members like them to get out of the Army, they said.

Such actions come as the Army, like other branches of the military is struggling with recruitment woes; the Army has only met 52 percent of its fiscal year 2022 recruiting goal.
