Bitter legacy of Stasi spy who put party over family

Fifty Christmasses ago a 15-year-old boy and his father slipped into the nerve centre of the West German government, dispensing presents of wine and cognac to the doorkeeper and the caretaker.

In the darkness they walked together through the half-deserted corridors, stopping to look in on the cabinet room and the few senior officials who were still at their desks on Christmas Eve. It was one of their last happy shared memories.

Sixteen months later the father, Günter Guillaume — the right-hand man to Willy Brandt, the country’s hugely charismatic chancellor — was arrested and convicted of spying for East Germany’s secret police, the Stasi.

Public Trust Vanishes As Communism Takes Over Canadian Media

According to a recent poll, the majority of Canadians distrust mainstream media. A report from the Reuters Institute for the Study of Journalism at University of Oxford finds that only 42 per cent of Canadian respondents trust “most news, most of the time.”

Why is it that public trust in media has eroded steadily since 2016? One theory(ours) is that trust in the press has diminished in tandem with Justin Trudeau’s tenure as Canadian prime minister. An inverse relationship exists within the annals of media presentation. The greater the degree to which media function as a propaganda unit for government, the greater the lack of public trust.

In this regard, Canadian media play a wicked game. To ubiquitously back PM Trudeau and his brood of Liberal-Communists will not do. On this basis, Canadians are sure to see through the deception. To circumvent the perception, CBC, CTV, Globe & Mail and the rest limit criticism of government to pragmatic political issues.

British prof who is member of the Communist party and advocates “facemasks forever” appointed as chair of WHO advisory group

Professor Susan Michie, Director of the Centre for Behaviour Change at University College London, will chair the WHO’s Technical Advisory Group (TAG) on Behavioural Insights and Sciences for Health.

The UCL academic, who is a frequent contributor on the BBC and ITV, has been a member of the Communist Party of Britain for more than 40 years.

She made headlines last year after she advocated for stringent Covid-19 restrictions on life in the UK and “maximum suppression” of the virus around the world, including saying that face masks and social distancing measures should continue “forever”.

China Ramps Up Censorship As Protests Break Out Across The Nation

Chinese censors are removing videos, posts and hashtags related to protests over mortgage payments from Chinese social networking sites such as Douyin and Weibo, according to Reuters.

Videos taken by protestors and their sympathizers in the Chinese regional capitals of Wuhan, Nanchang, and Zhengzhou, have been taken down by Douyin, a Chinese TikTok-like app, citing a failure to “pass scrutiny,” according to Reuters. Protestors are upset about being forced to pay mortgages and other loans on houses that won’t be completed on schedule, according to The Wall Street Journal, as construction delays have hindered the completion of housing.

Was Mom A Communist Informer? How A Film Tore A Bulgarian Family Apart

SOFIA — At the end of I See Red People, a 2018 documentary that follows a young Bulgarian woman’s search into her family’s communist past, the mother of the filmmaker reprimands her daughter: “My truth,” she says, “does not belong to you.”

By that point, relations between director Bojina Panayotova and her mother, Milena Makarius, are at rock bottom following the discovery, over the course of filming, that her mother was listed in the state archives as a collaborator of the communist-era secret police.

Prominent Pro-Abortion Group Appears To Be Front For Radical Revolutionary Communists

A prominent pro-abortion activist group downplaying its association with the Revolutionary Communist Party (RCP) shares significant infrastructure and leadership with the radical outfit’s other offshoot groups, a Daily Caller analysis has found.

Although RiseUp4AbortionRights seems like most other pro-abortion groups at first glance, other pro-abortion activists released a statement in late June asserting that RiseUp is a front for a “pyramid scheme” and cult of personality. The Daily Caller’s examination of the organization’s leaders, online presence, and fundraising platforms lend credence to the claim that RiseUp is an offshoot front group for the RCP.

Redder Pastures

Over the past two years, I have written several articles on issues that (I believe) take Canada in the direction of being a more authoritarian State. The sources for these issues are diverse, from government policy and announcements of policy intentions to public statements by members of the punditocracy / commentariat to widespread public support for certain ideas. In all frankness, I am not the only one who senses this direction of movement (or is it drift?). But I think that enough pieces are now in place for us to take a step back and take a holistic view of what this movement / drift portends for us as a society.

Marxists Are Killing Each Other to Control America’s Cocaine Market

The deadliest Marxist guerrilla force is fighting the biggest socialist regime.

“Socialism, this is the path to save the planet, I don’t have the least doubt. Capitalism is the road to hell,” Venezuela’s Hugo Chavez told the 2009 Copenhagen climate conference.

Rhetoric like that won the socialist dictator the admiration of socialists from Barack Obama to Noam Chomsky. But the dirty little secret of the socialist revolution in Venezuela was that it was a front for a massive drug smuggling operation. Chavez and his successor, Nicolas Maduro, gutted Venezuela’s rich oil resources and turned the country into a socialist drug cartel.

UN Warns Individualistic Conservatives Threaten the Planet

Save the world from free speech. Before it’s too late.

If you blinked you might have missed the momentous occasion of the release of the second part of the UN IPCC’s sixth assessment report of how we’re all going to die unless we all board jets and attend global warming conferences. Or give lots of money to those officials who do it for us.

Since no one reads these things anyway, by the time the fourteenth chapter of the second part of the sixth assessment rolled around, everyone was drunk and decided to take shots at conservatives.

Did a University Destroy an Archive Documenting Communist Terrorism?

“I took a pack of Tarot cards. I had found out that they were very superstitious. On arrival at a commune I would ask for their astrological birth signs and tell them mine,” Jillian Becker described her process of investigating the Marxist terrorist Baader-Meinhof Gang.

Officially, the Red Army Faction, but popularly known for its two leaders, Andreas Baader and Ulrike Meinhof, the leftist terrorist group had carried out a string of attacks, including the killings of a number of American military personnel. Becker’s investigations of Soviet backed terrorism had taken her around the world, and now the South African Jewish journalist was in Berlin.
