The High-School Juniors With $70,000-a-Year Job Offers

Elijah Rios won’t graduate from high school until next year, but he already has a job offer—one that pays $68,000 a year.

Rios, 17 years old, is a junior taking welding classes at Father Judge, a Catholic high school in Philadelphia that works closely with companies looking for workers in the skilled trades. Employers are dealing with a shortage of such workers as baby boomers retire. They have increasingly begun courting high-school students like Rios—a hiring strategy they say is likely to become even more crucial in the coming years.

There’s a quick way to spot before reading the text that this isn’t a program that would be run by any level of Canadian government.

The mystery of the ‘ghost frequency’, the most terrifying sound known to man

Horror films use inaudible ‘infrasound’ effects to induce goosebumps and nausea. But can the so-called ‘fear frequency’ make you see ghosts?

In the early 1980s, Vic Tandy was one of a team designing medical equipment in a laboratory at Coventry University. Everybody said that the lab was haunted; it just felt weird in there. That evening, when Tandy was on his own, he felt something very strange.

“I was sweating but cold, and the feeling of depression was noticeable – but there was also something else,” he told the Birmingham Post at the time. Suddenly, he felt like he was being watched. “It was as though something was in the room with me.”

Take Control of Your Online Privacy – Free Seminar

Not The Bee fans!

Do you ever feel like the government spies on your online activity? Are you not quite sure your passwords are secure? Do you worry about being hacked on Facebook or even worse, your online banking website?

You are not alone.

A February 2021 poll in Security Magazine showed that 75% of Americans are very concerned about online privacy. But the poll also revealed most people won’t take any action to protect themselves beyond updating a password or two.

It’s time to be proactive about your online security and privacy! This is an important subject right now because of the increase in cyber-attacks and ransomware that is flooding the internet. That’s why I’ve asked my friend, Glenn Meder, to educate us about the threat and to give us practical, tangible, bite-sized measures we can take to protect ourselves and help cancel-proof Not The Bee readers.

Please join us for Glenn’s free webinar:

Big Tech And Big Brother Are Deceptively Spying on You.
Here are 5 Ways to Protect Yourself.

The AC-130J Gunship’s First Solid State Laser Weapon Has Arrived For Testing

The U.S. Air Force has taken delivery of the first prototype Airborne High Energy Laser, or AHEL, which is set to be flight tested on one of its AC-130J Ghostrider gunships next year. The service hopes to demonstrate the feasibility of adding this directed-energy weapon to the AC-130J’s already very diverse arsenal, which could give these aircraft a unique capability to engage ground targets silently and stealthily.
