The radical Biden Justice department has closed the books on the Capitol Hill investigation into the Jan. 6. police killing of unarmed protestor Ashli Babbitt, just as leftist Minnesota prosecutors have opened the books on prosecuting another police officer for killing a man with a warrant out for violent assault who was at the time resisting arrest.

Disturbing bodycam footage released by Chicago police shows the moment a city cop shot and killed 13-year-old Adam Toledo last month — with the officer identified for the first time as Eric Stillman.
“Police, stop, stop right f—-g now,” Stillman is heard saying as he chased the teen down an alley. “Hands. Show me your f—-g hands.

I’d like to take a rational look at the confrontations among cops, motorists, and pedestrians.
When we see incidents of cops shooting blacks (which are the only shootings the media cover), one thing becomes clear: resisting arrest often ends up with a loss of life. Something else is obvious: when a cop is the one losing his life, it’s practically overlooked by the media.
If you didn’t know better, you would think that we are experiencing an epidemic of police violence against black men. And, strangely, Minnesota seems to be epicenter of the phenomenon.
The Star Tribune keeps a running toll of deaths resulting from police encounters in Minnesota. For the period 2000 to 2021, the total is 207, of whom 54% were white and 27% were black. Of course, suspect behavior has a lot to do with the likelihood of a fatal encounter with law enforcement. This is evident from the fact that only 3% of those killed by police have been women.

NEW YORK (AP) — Bernie Madoff, the financier who pleaded guilty to orchestrating a massive Ponzi scheme, died in a federal prison early Wednesday, a person familiar with the matter told The Associated Press. He was 82.
Madoff died at the Federal Medical Center in Butner, North Carolina, apparently from natural causes, the person said. The person was not authorized to speak publicly and spoke to the AP on the condition of anonymity.
When Premier Doug Ford asked people to stay at home, it likely didn’t occur to many it would also apply to a man accused of trying to kill a Toronto cop.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, on whether to grant bail for a man charged with attempted murder in the stabbing of a Toronto cop, the court must decide between an accused’s health and safety and that of the public.

A Fort Detrick police quick reaction force shot dead a Navy corpsman Tuesday morning when he brandished a weapon after penetrating security at the Maryland Army base.
Petty Officer 3rd Class Fantahun Girma Woldesenbet, 38, shot two Navy sailors with a rifle shortly after 8 a.m. at Riverside Technology Park in Frederick, Maryland, which is 50 miles northwest of Washington, D.C., Frederick Police Chief Jason Lando told reporters at a press conference.

Two girls, ages 13 and 15, who were charged with the murder and carjacking of a Pakistani immigrant killed last month while working at his job delivering food in Washington, DC, have reportedly reached a plea deal with prosecutors.
Mohammad Anwar, 66, died when police said the girls, armed with a taser, sped off in his car as he clung to the driver’s side with the door open and crashed seconds later just outside the ballpark of the Washington Nationals.
On Monday, the teens reportedly reached the plea deal with prosecutors that would ensure they will not be held past the age of 21 nor be placed in a prison facility.

GHISLAINE Maxwell is facing up to 80 years behind bars after US prosecutors accused her of new sex trafficking charges involving a 14-year-old girl.
Maxwell will die in prison if a jury in New York finds her guilty when she goes on trial in the summer.

Florida Republican Rep. Matt Gaetz said he is being investigated for alleged criminal sexual activity with a minor and claims a former Department of Justice official is behind a $25 million plot to extort him and his family.
The 38-year-old congressman is being eyed as part of a broader investigation into Joel Greenberg, a political ally who was indicted in 2020 on charges including sex trafficking of a minor and financially supporting people in exchange for sex, at least one of whom was an underage girl, the New York Times reported.
“I was not a target but a subject of an investigation regarding sexual conduct with women,” Gaetz said.
Appearing on Zoom from inside one of his two lawyers’ Toronto homes, Cameron Gardiner listened closely as Madam Justice Michelle Fuerst told the 59-year-old Collingwood man that after re-assessing the case against Gardiner and the reasonable prospect of conviction, both charges on the indictment were being withdrawn at the request of the Crown.
A minute later, the father of two emerged from the house and declared his freedom, wiping away tears and hugging his lawyers.

We are not supposed to notice.
Those who do are immediately vilified as “racist.”
Meanwhile, we are supposed to celebrate every trivial achievement an individual who happened to be melanin-enhanced who was the first individual of color to accomplish a feat long ago established not just a white individual, but replicated again and again and again by white people.
But our society is said to be dominated by white privilege, structural inequality, implicit bias, and the historical legacy of slavery, where the daunting reminder of roads, schools, and streets (not to mention monuments) named after or honoring Confederate soldiers unites in suppressing little black boys and girls.
But for a little white girl to be murdered by a black individual is hardly news worthy of covering or immediately cause for condemnation of all black people in this affair (as we saw the fentanyl overdose of George Floyd instantly create in castigating all white people for the death of this “innocent” black individual).
In fact, it’s hardly news locally where it happened.

…Bandaogo, Tansey said, has no fixed address. He has ties to Quebec and a criminal history there including violent crimes. She said he had outstanding warrants in Quebec and Winnipeg.
Tansey was asked if radicalization was a factor and she said there was no indication it was. She said mental health is always examined as a factor. “Everything is being assessed at this point.”
Nuttin. Just the usual “mental illness”. We do seem to import a lot of that. Expect less information to be released from now on.
You know things are upside down when one of the suspects in an incident that saw an officer stabbed in a bank robbery is out on bail before the copper is out of the hospital.
But that’s Canada in 2021.
