Gun control activist and Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School shooting survivor David Hogg was elected on Saturday to serve as the vice chairman of the Democratic National Committee (DNC).
Hogg, who received 214.5 votes, was elected to serve as the vice chair of the DNC the same day that Minnesota state party chairman Ken Martin was selected to serve as the chairman of the DNC.
Democrats had just absorbed a crushing defeat in the 1994 midterm elections when President Bill Clinton’s very liberal labor secretary, Robert Reich, ventured into hostile territory to issue a prophetic warning.
Struggling workers were becoming “an anxious class,” he told the centrist Democratic Leadership Council, two weeks after Republicans led by Newt Gingrich had gained 54 seats in the House and eight in the Senate. Society was separating into two tiers, Mr. Reich said, with “a few winners and a larger group of Americans left behind, whose anger and whose disillusionment is easily manipulated.”
“Today, the targets of that rage are immigrants and welfare mothers and government officials and gays and an ill-defined counterculture,” Mr. Reich cautioned. “But as the middle class continues to erode, who will be the targets tomorrow?”
The Biden-Harris economy was so bad that $1 billion can’t even rig an election anymore. But really, the Democrats’ biggest problem wasn’t fundraising; it was twofold: Their strategy sucked, and their brand ambassadors were gross.
On October 28, Newsweek ran an op-ed titled “The Democratic Party Is the Most Racist Organization in America.” It’s written by a former Democratic fundraiser, Evan Barker. In it she writes: “The Democrat’s long-term strategy is to stoke racial resentment to build their coalition and energize non-white voters. The rhetoric is designed to convince minorities that America is irredeemably, structurally racist, and only Democrats will look out for them.” This is the same strategy the Soviets used (and now the Russians use) to weaken America.
Despite the Kamala Harris presidential campaign’s desperate appeal to white male voters with camouflage trucker hats, CNN’s Dana Bash characterized Democrats as an estrogen-fueled political movement uncomfortable with traditional traits of masculinity.
Doug Emhoff and Vice-Presidential nominee Tim Walz, Bash said Thursday at the Democratic National Convention (DNC), represent the party’s effort to “put forward male figures” who “can speak to men out there who might not be the testosterone-laden, gun-toting type of guy who wants to listen to Hulk Hogan.”

The Biden-Harris administration has called voter photo identification laws “burdensome” and “unnecessary.” The administration has let hundreds of thousands of unvetted illegal immigrants pour across the border with no questions asked about who they are. But the administration’s political party has implemented identification requirements for anyone who wants to attend the Democratic National Convention (DNC).

A handful of delegates is threatening to pierce the Democratic Party’s kumbaya for Kamala as its national convention kicks off in Chicago today.
These potential spoilers are known as the Uncommitted Movement, representing voters who deliberately declined to back Joe Biden when he was seeking a second term in the primaries. The movement has drawn delegates from three states—Michigan, Minnesota, and Hawaii—where they voted “uncommitted” in their state primaries this spring. The Uncommitteds argued that voters should use their leverage to change Biden’s policy of supporting Israel’s war in Gaza, and at the DNC this week, they say they are planning to agitate for a “ceasefire, anti-war, pro-peace narrative.”

If demonstrations unfold as expected at the Democratic National Convention next week, look for an occasional fluorescent-green hat among the protesters. This is the signature headgear worn by National Lawyers Guild (NLG) legal observers, who can often be found attending major left-wing protests in support of the demonstrators. They represent an organization that has long been one of the most deeply radical activist groups in the country and one that harbors a particularly virulent hostility toward Israel. They have expressed that hostility in some truly appalling ways.
As delegates arrive in Chicago on Sunday ahead of the Democratic National Convention, protesters plan to march along Michigan Avenue. On Monday, as the political show begins inside the United Center, demonstrators say they will gather by the thousands outside. And as the convention goes on, activists say, so too will the protests, every single day, showcasing divisions on the left during a week when Vice President Kamala Harris is trying to project Democratic unity and enthusiasm.
From the moment the Democrats chose Chicago as the site for their nominating convention, it was a foregone conclusion that protesters would show up in large numbers. The city has a long tradition of left-wing activism, and nominating conventions tend to attract demonstrations.
