Chicago police, the Secret Service, and other federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies sound confident that they’re able to handle any protests that occur at the Democratic National Convention in August.

I wonder if they can cope.

Chicago has a local population that treats looting as reparations.

They also harbour a great resentment toward the Dems for the mass dumping of migrants in Chicago which the locals feel has cost them assistance that rightfully belongs to the black community.

Don’t discount the situation being exploited by outside agitators, principally Islamists.

The Democratic lead among Hispanic adults and adults aged 18 to 29, meanwhile, also slid by almost the same degree, leaving the party with only a modest advantage.

If you are fine with showing your I.D. while entering a Costco warehouse but believe it’s beyond the pale to be asked to provide an I.D. when voting for the president of the United States, you just might be a Democrat.

If you like the phrase “from the river to the sea, Palestine will be free” but think chants of “USA, USA” are trite, offensive, and possibly violent, you just might be a Democrat.

Left-wing actor John Cusack hammered the Democratic Party in a lengthy X post accusing liberals of being too cozy with the monied classes, not being far enough to the left, and selling out the working class.

There was a time when the political Left in America was patriotic, morally decent, and as supportive of church and traditional families as Republicans are.

Those days are long gone. Today’s American Left has lost sight of the path of decency. Their political agenda of today is the ethical antithesis of what a civilized society is built from. They have completely compromised their ethical instincts.

Like the room at the JFK Presidential Library in Boston, Robert F Kennedy Jr does not quite resemble the original.

I think he will do much better than is projected.

The Democrat Party has yet to find a solution to its RFK Jr. problem. The party’s initial impulse, as it always is with any uncomfortable figure outside of the establishment, was to ignore him. But he’s doing too well in polling and finding too much of an outlet in grassroots conservative media to effectively sideline through silence alone.
