‘Overwhelming relief’ for youth activists cleared to sue Ottawa over climate change

Lauren Wright wants the federal government to do more to curb climate change — and now she and 14 other young Canadians have been given the green light to take Ottawa to court and demand accountability.

“To use, say, the Paris climate agreement as an example … [the pledges] look really good on paper. Our governments have signed on, they’ve promised,” said 19-year-old Wright, who is from Saskatchewan.

Oh brother. The parents should be under a microscope.

Woke Lancet: Climate Change ‘the Biggest Global Health Threat of the 21st Century’

The once prestigious Lancet medical journal has doubled down in its climate alarmism, insisting in its latest issue that global warming is the biggest global health threat of the 21st century.

The Lancet, which used to take science seriously, makes the astonishing claim that climate change has been “confirmed” as the century’s number one health threat, a remarkable feat since the century is not even a quarter over.

COP28 and the scourge of eco-imperialism

It feels like at COP28 the delusions of Western greens finally crashed against the shores of reality. The luxuriant doom-mongering of privileged eco-warriors who insist the world will end if we don’t phase out fossil fuels was confronted by a truth no reasonable person can deny: that fossil fuels remain vital to human life. In the gleaming oasis of Dubai it became clear that oil, gas and even coal are not going away anytime soon, however much the Gretas of the West might want them to. Why? Because – brace yourselves – India, China, Brazil and other nations are not prepared to sacrifice their economic health at the altar of our deranged anti-modernism.

Why climate activists love to hate Israel

Greta Thunberg Climate Hysteria Puppet

Climate activists have been busy since 7 October. The demands for ‘action now’ on global warming continue, but affairs in the Middle East are proving to be a distraction for Just Stop Oil. Cries of ‘free Gaza’, ‘ceasefire now’, and even ‘from the river to the sea’ – a chant, purported to be a cry for peace and ‘solidarity’ with Palestinians, but used by those who want to wipe Israel off the map – have now joined, and at times drowned out, the usual green slogans.

Top 1 per cent wealthiest responsible for same amount of carbon emissions as bottom 66 per cent

A new report has found that the top one per cent of earners are disproportionately driving the climate crisis, and researchers are calling for substantially higher taxes on income, wealth and corporate profits to fix it.

After five months of consecutive global temperature records, climate scientists say global warming has become an equity issue as much as an environmental crisis.

BBC ‘hypocrisy’ row as reporter racks up air miles to criticise global emissions

The BBC has been accused of “rank hypocrisy” after a reporter racked up an estimated 20,000 air miles to ask why “despite all the green promises, we’re using more fossil fuels than ever before”.

London-based Richard Bilton travelled to Europe, the Middle East and the United States for an episode of BBC One’s Panorama in which he claimed “the world is saying one thing and doing another” on climate change.
