A logging protest in the treetops ends in terror, activists say

PORT ANGELES, Wash. — On the 40th night of the protest, a black Jeep drove up a logging road and stopped near the base of a towering grand fir.

For more than a month, environmental activists had been living on a platform some 80-feet up the trunk of that tree in an attempt to stop logging in the emerald foothills of the Olympic Peninsula. They had rigged a dunk-tank platform to cables that connected to a jumble of logs and brush strung across a dirt road on state land.

If anyone tried to break through the blockade, the platform could fall.

Now someone arrived who was ready to try.

The Globalist War on the Planet: Humanity, Nature, Wildlife

Let them become one with the environment.

In 2013, Sir David Attenborough, the renowned nature expert and one of the greatest filmmakers ever, famously declared humanity a pestilence.

“We are a plague on the Earth,” he postulated. “It’s coming home to roost over the next 50 years or so.” His recommendation was that the world needed a smaller population. “It’s not just climate change; it’s sheer space, places to grow food for this enormous horde [of people].”

GOP Senators Present Evidence China Bankrolls Environmentalist Lawsuits To Cripple U.S. Power

Senators met yesterday for a subcommittee hearing to discuss claims that the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), foreign donors, and leftist legal activism are behind a “systematic campaign” to dismantle American energy dominance.

Throughout the hearing, Chairman Ted Cruz, R-Texas, emphasized how foreign funding and activist litigation are undermining U.S. energy infrastructure, posing a national security threat. His four Democrat colleagues repeatedly dismissed the concerns as a “conspiracy theory,” instead focusing on energy costs and “global warming.”

Not Green Enough? Berlin May Expropriate Your Business

In Berlin, those who fail to comply with the green agenda could lose their company. That is what the new legal framework promoted by the CDU and SPD in the German capital’s Senate stipulates. Under the label of Vergesellschaftungsrahmengesetz (framework law on collectivization), the coalition has agreed on an instrument that would allow the State to expropriate private companies if, in the opinion of the political authorities, they fail to meet climate goals or invest “too little” in the public interest.

Small wonder Carney wants to hook up with these Nazis.

MSM addresses anarchy in LA: ‘Why burning EVs isn’t a good idea’

Elizabeth Weise at USA Today decided to comment on the anarchy that’s currently raging across Los Angeles, and here’s her two cents: if you’re going to light other people’s cars on fire, at least make sure it’s not an electric vehicle, because that would be bad for the environment and your fellow rioters. (On the contrary: perhaps we can encourage them to stand as close as possible to the flames and take big deep breaths?)

Greta Thunberg and ‘freedom flotilla’ activists ‘REFUSED to watch footage of October 7 atrocities’ before being deported

Greta Thunberg is now on a plane out of Israel along with three other ‘freedom flotilla’ activists deported after they reportedly refused to watch footage of Hamas atrocities carried out on October 7, 2023 in Israel.

The crew of the Madleen ship, who had planned to sail to Gaza to deliver aid, were scooped up by Israeli Navy boats well before they reached shore yesterday and towed to the port of Ashdod.

Eight of the 12 activists refused to sign deportation papers and are being detained pending a court hearing. Thunberg and three others signed the documents and are now on a flight out of Israel.

Greta Thunberg will be forced to watch footage of herself , say Israelis

Greta Thunberg will be made to watch footage of Oct 7, say Israelis

Israel’s military has been ordered to show Greta Thunberg footage of Hamas’s Oct 7 2023 attack on southern Israel.

Israel Katz, the defence minister, on Monday congratulated the IDF for its interception of an aid boat carrying Ms Thunberg and 11 other activists before it could reach Gaza.

After confirming the passengers would be deported back to their home countries once the boat reached the Israeli port of Ashdod, he said he had instructed troops to “show the flotilla passengers the video of the horrors of the October 7 massacre”.

London-based ‘Hamas operative’ behind Greta Thunberg’s Gaza flotilla

A man accused of being “a Hamas operative” based in London is a key figure behind Greta Thunberg’s Gaza-bound aid boat, it emerged on Monday.

Zaher Birawi, who was described in Parliament as a person with links to Hamas, describes himself as a “founding member” of the Freedom Flotilla International Coalition, which arranged the voyage by the aid boat Madleen.

Israeli forces boarded and seized the boat on Sunday – detaining the 12 pro-Palestinian activists it was carrying, including Ms Thunberg – as it attempted to bring a “symbolic” amount of aid to Gaza in defiance of an Israeli naval blockade.

Insufferable scold Greta Thunberg is unfortunately alive and in good hands

Israeli forces take control of Gaza aid boat carrying Greta Thunberg

Israel’s military took control of a boat trying to deliver food to Palestinians in Gaza in the early hours of Monday morning, and brought its crew of activists including Greta Thunberg to an Israeli port.

The Madleen was making a symbolic attempt to break to the blockade of Gaza and raise awareness of a looming “starvation crisis”.

It was never likely to get through Israel’s naval blockade of the territory, where UN-backed experts have warned of looming famine, and dozens of people have been killed by Israeli forces trying to reach food distribution centres.

‘Violation of int’l law’: Hamas, foreign government attack Israel over Gaza flotilla’s interception

Varying reactions were issued on Monday after the IDF intercepted the Gaza Freedom Flotilla, Madleen, early in the morning. Foreign ministries with citizens on board the ship confirmed that they have requested consular access.

Is Climate Change Destroying the Environment?

Like most zany progressive schemes, the climate change cult has tremendous potential to create unintended consequences.

A recent article in the Washington Post  caught my eye. It outlined the astounding loss of over 3 million birds among breeding adults — 30 percent of the adult population — in the last half century (waterfowl are an exception due to wetlands protection). The article goes on to discuss possible causes. Not surprisingly loss of habitat was among them. Then, of course, the leading usual suspect was rounded up; that being climate change.

The Post — being the Post — did not dare to bring up solar and wind farms as culprits. That is the third rail of the Green-Industrial Complex and the Post, New York Times, and NPR dare not touch it for fear of offending their elite progressive base; or are birds and butterflies sacrifices on the altar of climate change?

‘It’s high spirits’: life aboard Greta Thunberg’s Gaza-bound flotilla

On board a 60ft UK-flagged yacht bound for Gaza, Greta Thunberg and her fellow crew members are preparing for the moment — perhaps today, perhaps tomorrow — when Israel confronts them in full view of the world.

“I would say it’s fairly calm, but high spirits. We are very happy to be actually going, to be sailing,” Thunberg, 22, told me in a voice message sent from the vessel.

The climate activist is one of 12 crew aboard the Madleen, which left Catania, Sicily, last week. They have set course for Gaza with supplies including baby formula, rice and nappies, and an aim of breaking the naval blockade imposed by Israel on the coastal strip and raising awareness of the plight of Palestinians.

Undercover at Youth Demand’s awards for arrested activists

Clapping and cheering filled the basement room of a London community centre on a grey Saturday afternoon in May.

Two masters of ceremony were awarding prizes to everyone who had been arrested while carrying out protests for Youth Demand, blocking roads in the capital to the aggravation of motorists. There was a badge of honour for the bravest protesters.

There was an award called “Rizzing up the resistance” for everyone who had led chants or “generally brought the vibe”, and another called “Fried for Falestine” for those who had been burnt by a flare.
