U.S. President Joe Biden’s chief medical adviser Dr. Anthony Fauci says Canadian health officials don’t appear to be doing anything wrong in their response to the global pandemic, despite rising caseloads in most parts of the country.
“What goes through my head when I look north is not that Canadians are doing anything wrong or making any big mistakes at all,” he told CBC News Network’s Power & Politics in an exclusive interview.
First Dr. Anthony Fauci, America’s top immunologist, said Americans didn’t need to wear masks to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Then he said wear a mask. Then he said wear two masks. And he also insisted that everyone should wear a mask everywhere — even outdoors, and even if they’re vaccinated.
In a report that challenges widely accepted COVID-19 prevention guidelines, researchers say there’s “little benefit” to health officials’ “6-foot rule,” especially when wearing masks inside.

The CDC had previously deferred on the question of receiving a vaccination while pregnant, recommending that women consult with their doctors on the issue rather than issuing sweeping guidance. CDC Director Rochelle Walensky cited a study Friday showing that 35,000 women who received the vaccine in their third trimester had no adverse effects.

“[Herd immunity is] theoretically possible but we as a society have rejected that,” Poland told USA Today. “There is no eradication at this point, it’s off the table. The only thing we can talk about is control.
“What has surprised me most is the incomprehensible rejection of science even among otherwise intelligent people,” Poland added. “I’m truly flabbergasted to be watching this on a grand scale.”
Maybe the “experts” shouldn’t have lied to us every step of the way.
A Lancet report published Thursday from epidemiologists and experts across both Canada, U.S. and the U.K. found an overwhelming amount of evidence that the disease was spread through aerosols — tiny airborne particles that come from people’s mouths when they breathe, talk or cough.
“Because of the current situation in Canada, even fully vaccinated travelers may be at risk for getting and spreading COVID-19 variants and should avoid all travel to Canada,” the website now reads. “If you must travel to Canada, get fully vaccinated before travel. All travelers should wear a mask, stay 6 feet from others, avoid crowds, and wash their hands.”

Although Gov. Gretchen Whitmer loves it enough to have it cross-stitched on a pillow, Anthony Fauci’s face is hated by many Americans around the country. He reminded us why yet again when his face made an appearance on MSNBC over the weekend.
Osterholm told NBC News’ Meet the Press that the United States is approaching another surge of COVID-19 cases, citing a pattern where cases rise rapidly in the Upper Midwest and Northeast then subside and surge in the Southern Sunbelt states, before subsiding and then reemerging in the Northeast and Midwest.

“When I saw what happened in New York City, almost overrunning of our health care system, it was like, ‘Oh my goodness,’” the director of the U.S. National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases told CNN. “And that’s when it became very clear that the decision we made on January the 10th to go all out and develop a vaccine may have been the best decision that I’ve ever made with regard to an intervention as director of the institute.”
