Disillusioned Poles lose patience with ‘dithering’ Germany

Germany’s “dithering and inaction” since the Russian invasion of Ukraine is prompting other European states to question its value as an ally, the Polish prime minister has said.

While Berlin has pledged at least €1.2 billion worth of military aid — more in absolute terms than any other country except the United States, Britain and Poland — Kyiv and some of its more gung-ho backers are dissatisfied with the slow pace of deliveries.

When German Environmentalists and Putin’s Government Had a Burning Love Affair

In 2011, the German Baltic Sea Nature Conservation Foundation (Naturschutzstiftung Deutsche Ostsee) was created as a result of an agreement between Nord-Stream, the three main environmental organisations in Germany — WWF, BUND (“Friends of the Earth”), NABU — and the state of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. This foundation was immediately provided with a lucrative budget of ten million euros by Nord Stream.

Hubristic Germany has dragged Europe into poverty

Europe’s industrial powerhouse has managed to reduce itself to an instrument of Putin’s aggression

It wasn’t so long ago that Germany was able to present itself as the sensible man of Europe – the wise country which retained control of its public finances while other governments were losing their heads, and whose taxpayers were a little resentful about having to bail out less-responsible southern European nations. Now it is Europe’s fool.

Germany: Police clash with protesters outside arms factory

Police used pepper spray and batons against protesters in the German city of Kassel in the early hours of Friday morning as anti-war demonstrators attempted to block the entrance to an arms factory.

Officers said the protesters had begun to throw objects at them. At least one person was arrested.

Activists for the Disarm Rheinmetall movement have been calling for protests across the country to try and stop the production and delivery of weapons, including for the war in Ukraine.

German civil servants investigated over ‘spying for Russia’

Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution (BfV)

Germany’s domestic intelligence agency is investigating allegations that two senior civil servants working in the economy ministry could have been spying for Russia, according to a local media report.

Die Zeit, which first revealed the case, said the officials being investigated had close involvement with energy supply issues and held key positions.

The economy ministry and the Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution (BfV), the country’s domestic intelligence agency, would not comment on the reports. The economy ministry would only say that it was in continual dialogue with the BfV, and that the ministry found itself “under particular focus” due to its work tackling the energy crisis.

German factories shut down as energy costs spiral out of control

Eurozone inflation surged to another record high in August, fuelled by soaring energy prices that are threatening to plunge the region into recession.

Annual inflation across the bloc rose to 9.1pc this month, up from 8.9pc in July, according to the latest figures from Eurostat.

Prices are rising at the fastest rate since records began in 1997, piling pressure on the European Central Bank to continue raising interest rates at its meeting next week.

Germany’s decision to close its nuclear plants as energy prices climb tenfold is not just stupid – it’s insane

Stupidity is not always painful. Often it can be laughed away with some embarrassment and minimal injury to the victims, allowing life to trundle on. But deep, cavernous stupidity on a national scale is something else. Everyone suffers.

Germany comes to mind – yes, the same country admired for its industrial prowess, green environmental policies and generally rational corporate and political management style.

Extremists plan ‘autumn of rage’ to exploit cost of living crisis in Germany

Spy chiefs are warning of violent protests that could shake the foundations of the nation’s democratic system

At first glance it was just another bad day in a rotten week for Olaf Scholz. A week ago the German chancellor travelled to Neuruppin, a small town 40 miles northwest of Berlin, to deliver a routine speech to a sympathetic audience of 300 people or so.

Instead he found himself drowned out by a din of boos and taunts from 300 protesters gathered outside the cordon around the square: “liar”, “piss off”, “traitor to the people”. So far, so normal in today’s Germany.

A political revolt is brewing in Germany

The coalition government is out of touch with what voters want

… The coalition government of Social Democrats, Greens and Liberals looks out of touch with a voter base that has recently shifted in a dramatically pro-nuclear direction. Several polls have shown that at least 60% of Germans want to postpone the phase-out of nuclear, including a surprising 61% majority among supporters of the Greens.

Ukraine calls on Canada to shelve turbine exemption as German chancellor to visit

OTTAWA – As German Chancellor Olaf Scholz is set to arrive in Canada on Sunday, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is facing renewed calls from Ukraine to cancel a permit allowing turbines repaired in Montreal to be sent back to a Russian energy giant.

Scholz, who took over from Angela Merkel in December last year, is expected to land in Montreal on Sunday evening for a three-day visit that also includes scheduled stops in Toronto and Stephenville, N.L.

I suspect Ukraine knows not to trust either of these two green-scammers.

Is this the great bait & switch? Canada now says hydrogen better than LNG for German needs

Providing clean hydrogen to Germany and the rest of Europe is a better opportunity for Canada than trying to build liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminals as the world moves away from fossil fuels, said Canada’s natural resources minister late on Thursday.

Canada and Germany are discussing building LNG terminals on the Canadian Atlantic coast within the next five years ahead of German Chancellor Olaf Scholz’s Canadian visit next week. Germany has been trying to wean itself from its dependence on Russian gas since Russia’s invasion of Ukraine in February.

But the costs of transporting gas from Alberta in the Canadian west to the East Coast would be high. A new pipeline would be needed, and the global shift away from fossil fuels means the terminal’s lifetime would be too short to be profitable unless converted into a hydrogen terminal when gas demand declines.

“We’re working through those issues. But what I would say is… on the East Coast, the big opportunity is hydrogen,” Natural Resources Minister Jonathan Wilkinson told Reuters.

Germany’s love-hate relationship with nuclear power

It all began with an “egg”: Germany’s first nuclear reactor went online in October 1957, in Garching, near Munich. Given its shape, it was nicknamed the “atom egg” and belonged to Munich’s Technical University. It was a landmark in nuclear research and a symbol of a new beginning after WWII. The research reactor operated until 2000.

Canadian – German Hydrogen Deal Just More Trudeau Bullshit Say Experts

Canadian hydrogen deal won’t immediately solve Germany’s energy woes: experts

Some energy experts warn a deal to sell Canadian hydrogen to Germany will serve as only a small, far-off and expensive part of the solution to Europe’s energy crisis.

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and Prime Minister Justin Trudeau are set to sign a hydrogen agreement in Stephenville, N.L. next week, during Scholz’s official visit to Canada.

Trudeau and Scholz won’t do anything to derail the green-scam agenda.

Trudeau released the turbines to keep Germany in on the green-scam. If Germany dropped out due to domestic unrest and repealed their Green-Scam legislation other Euro states would follow like dominoes. Game over for Globalist designs.

Junior is using the Ukraine conflict to further the green-scam agenda. His deceitful actions undermine support for Ukraine. People know they’re being scammed. When will the Ukraine community speak out or are the happy at Justin’s contributions to the cause and willing to make a deal with the devil?

As a friend noted: Who do you support when both sides are working against you?

See you at the riots.

Why Germany won’t get tough on Beijing — even if it invades Taiwan

The German economy is even more dependent on China than it is on Russia.

BERLIN — Germany’s Wagnerian foreign policy spectacle is moving east.

Spoiler alert: It’s even worse than the original.

For months, Berlin has frustrated (read enraged) many allies with its one step forward, two steps back approach to confronting Russia over Ukraine. Yet that tortured episode is looking like little more than an overture to what’s brewing in Asia, as tensions over Taiwan force Berlin to weigh how it would respond if Beijing tries to seize the island nation, which China considers a breakaway region.

Trudeau considered Quebec jobs in decision to return Russian turbine

Ottawa considered jobs, global inflation in decision to return Russian turbine: documents

Newly released documents show that Ottawa considered the impact on Canadian jobs and global inflation in its decision to return a turbine being repaired in Montreal to a Russian energy giant.

The “memorandum for action” prepared by Global Affairs recommended Foreign Affairs Minister Melanie Joly grant a permit exempting Siemens Canada from sanctions against Russia and allow it to return the equipment for use in a pipeline carrying gas to Germany.

Surprise! Siemens turbine repair facility is located in Quebec.

I’m certain that had no bearing on Trudeau’s decision of course.

But the Ukraine conflict has provided Trudeau’s Liberal party and other like minded Globalist schemers like Germany the perfect excuse to enforce their green-scam.

Had the turbines not been returned it is entirely possible that Germany would have dropped out of the Ukraine alliance due to domestic unrest and all of their green-scam plans would have been overturned. A domino effect would likely follow with other Euro states following Germany’s example creating a near death blow to Globalist ambitions.

Inflation? Trudeau has told us he never bothers with monetary policy.

Germany: Gas Riots to Make COVID Protests Look Like a ‘Children’s Birthday Party’

Riots resulting from gas shortages would make anti-lockdown protests look like a “children’s birthday party”, one official has said.

Gas shortages in Germany brought about by a combination of long-term government mismanagement and Russia’s war in Ukraine are likely to prompt mass riots that will make previous anti-lockdown demos look like a “children’s birthday party”, an official has claimed.
