The ‘Climate Emergency’ is a Myth, Says Nobel Prize Winner John Clauser. Here’s Why He’s Right

In a recent lecture, Nobel Laureate physicist John Clauser exposed how the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) models and analyses, which are relied upon by politicians and activists to support claims of a ‘climate crisis’, do not meet basic standards of scientific enquiry. Clauser received his Nobel prize in 2022 for the observational measurement of quantum entanglement and understands well the problem of distinguishing a physical signal from background noise.

90 Cases of Conflict of Interest: AG Finds ‘Significant Lapses’ in Governance at Trudeau Green Fund

The federal auditor general has found 90 conflict of interest rule breaches and money going to dozens of ineligible projects in her review of the embattled federal green fund.

Auditor General Karen Hogan released three reports on June 4, one of which pertains to Sustainable Development Technology Canada (SDTC), a federal foundation supporting green projects with investments.

The Office of the Auditor General (OAG) says it found “significant lapses” in the governance and stewardship of public funds at SDTC.

Former Federal Green Scam Director Who Gave Money to Own Companies Resigns From Infrastructure Bank

A government-appointed director at the Canada Infrastructure Bank has resigned after being under fire for approving federal green fund money to companies she was invested in while serving as a fund director.

The April 16 resignation of renewable energy venture capitalist Andrée-Lise Méthot was not publicly announced until Housing and Infrastructure Minister Sean Fraser was asked about Ms. Méthot on May 21. Mr. Fraser was testifying before the House of Commons transport and infrastructure committee.

From solar to EVs: How China is overproducing green tech

United States Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen warned China last weekend against overproducing clean-energy products such as solar panels, wind turbines and electric vehicles (EVs) in the race to slow climate change.

During a trip to China, Yellen said the country’s unfair trade practices — dumping artificially cheap products on global markets — were a threat to US businesses and jobs. Washington is considering imposing higher tariffs and closing trade loopholes if Beijing maintains its existing policy.

Chinese firms can often undercut their Western counterparts for many reasons, including cheaper labor and economies of scale. But they also benefit from very generous state incentives, which help to make foreign rivals uncompetitive.

The greenwashing tactic that gives jetsetting celebrities a ‘licence to pollute’

Voluntary carbon credits are a multibillion-dollar market. But are they helping to save the planet, or just a load of hot air?

It’s fair to say the Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas knows how to handle a few private jets, but it was certainly put through its paces over Super Bowl weekend in February. Driving past the terminals on the way to the Allegiant Stadium, vast flocks of PJs (as their passengers rather annoyingly tend to call them) could be seen parked wingtip-to-wingtip.

The “Amazing Tale” of How Three Billionaires Plunged the World into Climate Catastrophism

Do you think that the constant catastrophising of weather and climate in the mainstream media, politics and science has just appeared by accident? Over the last few years, the BBC and the Guardian, as of one mind, decided to float improbable ‘tipping point’ scares under cover of ‘scientists say’, while UN officials concluded that we had two years to save a ‘boiling’ planet and the ubiquitous ‘Jim’ Dale has been given free rein to make it up as he goes along on Talk TV and GB News. Of course all this didn’t suddenly happen. Each of these examples is testament to an extraordinary corruption of the true scientific process – an “amazing tale” according to political science writer Roger Pielke Jnr., “a story of how wealth and power sought to shape climate science in pursuit of political goals”.

UK power station still burning rare Canadian forest wood

A power company that has received £6bn in UK green subsidies has kept burning wood from some of the world’s most precious forests, the BBC has found.

Papers obtained by Panorama show Drax took timber from rare forests in Canada it had claimed were “no go areas”.

It comes as the government decides whether to give the firm’s Yorkshire site billions more in environmental subsidies funded by energy bill payers.

Inflation Impacting Canadians’ Enthusiasm for Climate Efforts: Federal Research

Inflation is behind declining public support for products and services branded as being aligned with climate change initiatives, according to a confidential Privy Council report.

While half of Canadians said they support such efforts, most said they wouldn’t pay more than a 10 percent premium for products and services branded as helping to “limit climate change,” according to a censored copy of the report obtained by Blacklock’s Reporter through an access-to-information request.

Heads of 17 Canadian environmental charities collecting major compensation packages

MONTREAL — A small group of leaders of Canadian charities in the environment, conservation, and animal protection sectors are taking home compensation packages equivalent to, and in some cases higher than, the salaries of provincial premiers.

An analysis by The Canadian Press identified 17 charities whose top executive drew annual compensation that was in the $200,000 to $250,000 range or higher, according to filings with the federal government made in 2022 and 2023.

The review focused on organizations recognized by the Canada Revenue Agency as registered charities in the categories of “environment” and “animal protection,” which include several conservation organizations. The group of 17 with the highest salaries represents just over one per cent of all charities in those two categories.

How Does One-Third the CO2 Emissions Cause Three Times the Climate Damage?

Don’t ask the EPA because they won’t tell.

This month, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) published revised estimates of the social cost of carbon dioxide, methane, and nitrous oxide — the three main greenhouse gases emitted by industrial civilization. The EPA’s new estimates of the social cost of carbon dioxide (SC-CO2) are not only higher than those published by the U.S. government less than three years ago, but also weirder.

Trudeau Funnels $840,000 to Guilbeault’s Old Organization

The Trudeau government finds itself embroiled in controversy yet again over allegations of misusing taxpayer funds to benefit allied interests. The latest case centers on a series of questionable grants to the environmental group Equiterre, an organization with close ties to Liberal cabinet minister Steven Guilbeault.

This incident is part of a pattern of accusations that public money has improperly flowed to third-party groups whose agendas align with and amplify Liberal policies. The cozy arrangements allow the government to effectively outsource promotion of its agenda by funding sympathetic organizations like Equiterre.
