Greta Thunberg admits COP27 all about “greenwashing, lying and cheating”

Greta Thunberg: COP27 an opportunity for “greenwashing, lying and cheating”

LONDON, Oct 30 (Reuters) – Climate activist Greta Thunberg on Sunday called out next month’s United Nations climate summit in Egypt for being “held in a tourist paradise in a country that violates many basic human rights.”

Speaking at the London Literature Festival at the Southbank Centre where she was promoting her new book, “The Climate Book”, 19-year-old Thunberg dismissed the looming climate summit, known as COP27, as an opportunity for “people in power… to [use] greenwashing, lying and cheating.”

That sums up the green-scam in general.

Europe’s Green Future Is Cold and Dark

Relying on clean energy sources such as wind and solar while ignoring energy security has proven to be disastrous for Europe

In the wake of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, European Union (E.U.) nations are scrambling to source fossil fuels to run their factories and heat their homes this winter. They vigorously boycotted Russian natural gas and levied sanctions, you’ll recall, as a way of punishing Russia for its evil warring ways.

Will China inspire Trudeau to expand fossil-fuel resources?

Much of the international news coverage of the Chinese Communist Party’s quinquennial congress, which wrapped up last weekend, focused on the ruling autocrats’ increasingly belligerent foreign policy.

Also, the way President Xi Jinping’s ruthless enforcement of his “zero-COVID” policy still has more than 200 million citizens under complete lockdown (no leaving their apartments, no ordering in meals or groceries), which is affecting international supply chains.

Our government functions beneath high-school level intelligence.

Lunatic environment minister slams oilpatch for making money and not wasting it on green-scams

Environment minister slams oilpatch for raking in cash and sitting idle on climate action

The federal environment minister is calling out Canada’s oil companies for failing to put cash behind their promises to tackle climate change.

Steven Guilbeault says the country’s major oil players have promised to do something about greenhouse gas emissions, but instead have funnelled most of their record-breaking profits to shareholders.

Our environment policy is made by petulant high school students.

UN claims climate catastrophe now almost unavoidable

Three — count ’em, three — new reports from the United Nations claim that the planet is in dire, imminent danger because the nations of the world are not adequately mobilizing against climate change. According to the reports, countries are neither creating sufficient plans to reduce warming nor acting on them quickly enough, even as global greenhouse gas emissions are on the rise, thus putting the planet on track to experience nearly 3 degrees Celsius of warming within less than 80 years.

HARBIDGE: Did you even know what batteries cost for electric cars?

“I just read an article where two Canadian car owners were in need of new batteries for their electric vehicles. One was fully electric, the other was a hybrid. The full EV required $23,000 worth of battery replacements after only four years. The hybrid owner required $20,000 for his battery replacements. The EV owner had no choice: Either replace the batteries or stop driving the vehicle. The hybrid owner on the other hand was able to decline the battery replacements and simply motor along using the gasoline portion of his vehicle making his hybrid simply a gas powered unit.”

Why have climate activists made temper tantrums their primary tactic?

Dumping milk onto floors. Hurling food onto walls. Refusing to eatGluing body parts. Throwing paintRefusing to leave. Threatening to pee and poop in your pants. Screaming accusations. Are those the behaviors of a toddler’s temper tantrum? Yes. But they’re also the dominant tactics of today’s climate activists.

Consider the case of Gianluca Grimalda. On October 19, Grimalda, along with 15 other members of a climate activist group called Scientist Rebellion, glued himself to the floor of the visitors center next to a Volkswagon factory in Germany. The VW security guards brought pizza to Grimalda and the other activist scientists, but Grimalda felt disrespected and so he declared a hunger strike in retaliation.

Green ‘Net Zero’ Plans Pose ‘Critical Risk‘ to National Security – Report

The UK government’s Net Zero green agenda plans risk exposing the country to “critical risk”, a report drafted by MPs has claimed.

According to the report by the Joint Committee on National Security Strategy (JCNSS), Britain risks being exposed to “critical risks” regarding both energy and national security as a result of the UK government’s Net Zero green agenda.

Climate ‘victim’ nations try to Sharm-el-Shake the money tree

IS global warming really happening? Don’t bother to think – your answer no longer matters. Experts have decided, and the media now shriek ‘climate emergency!’ every time it rains a bit harder.

Earlier this year it rained much harder and in Pakistan there was disastrous flooding. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif says scientists have determined that the deluge was due to climate breakdown.

He claims it is ‘the responsibility of the developed countries, who caused these emissions, to stand by us’ and he will be seeking ‘climate justice’ from the international community.

Ottawa’s ‘net-zero’ transit plan disconnected from reality

In case you haven’t heard, the Trudeau government has a plan for Canada to become a “net-zero” emitter of greenhouse gases by 2050 with an interim plan to 2030. As some analysts (including myself) have observed, this is a quixotic endeavour doomed to failure, at the cost of many billions of taxpayer dollars and a great deal of economic wastage. And according to the most recent wisdom from Greta Thunberg, even if “we carried out all of our climate action plans, we’d still be in trouble. Net zero by 2050 is simply too little, too late. There is just too much at stake for us to place our destiny in the hands of undeveloped technologies. We need real zero.”

Germany Is Dismantling A Wind Farm To Make Way For A Coal Mine

A wind farm is being dismantled in western Germany to make way for an expansion of an open-pit lignite coal mine in a “paradoxical” situation highlighting the current prioritization of energy security over clean energy in Europe’s biggest economy.

The dismantling of at least one wind turbine at the wind farm close to the German coal mine Garzweiler, operated by energy giant RWE, has already started. RWE says that lignite, or brown coal, has been mined from the Garzweiler coalfields for over 100 years.

Cut meat consumption to two burgers a week to save planet, study suggests

Meat consumption should be reduced to the equivalent of about two burgers a week in the developed world, and public transport expanded about six times faster than its current rate, if the world is to avoid the worst ravages of the climate crisis, research has suggested.

Rates of deforestation must also be rapidly reduced, and phasing out coal must happen about six times faster than is currently being managed. Heavy industries such as cement and steel are not moving fast enough in cutting their emissions, and the rapid growth of renewable energy and electric vehicle adoption must be maintained.

Nova Scotia touted its huge ‘green’ energy plant. Turns out it’s powered by coal

In mid-September, the government of the Canadian province of Nova Scotia announced a blockbuster, 5bn-watt “green” hydrogen plant.

The plant was meant to deliver 200,000 tonnes of ammonia to Europe each year, without the use of fossil fuels.

Heading into November there is no prospect green power will be available by the time the EverWind Fuels facility begins operations, the Energy Mix and Halifax Examiner have learned in a joint investigation in partnership with the Guardian.

In fact, the project touted for its potential to convert wind-generated electricity into a badly-needed green product will be powered partly by coal, at least in its first years of operation.

Environmentalists Against Recycling

A study by leftists shows it’s useless.

Anew report exposes much of recycling as an empty ritual geared more at cleansing consciences than the planet.

The publisher of the study? Greenpeace.

“The plastics and products industries have been promoting plastic recycling as the solution to plastic waste since the early 1990s,” the report explains. “Some 30 years later, the vast majority of U.S. plastic waste is still not recyclable. The U.S. plastic recycling rate was estimated to have declined to about 5–6% in 2021, down from a high of 9.5% in 2014 and 8.7% in 2018, when the U.S. exported millions of tons of plastic waste to China and counted it as recycled even though much of it was burned or dumped.”
