Biden’s climate czar & private jet lover John Kerry says US pivot from fossil fuel will create ‘many good-paying jobs in Mexico’

John Kerry – Lunatic

Touting the benefits of the US transition from gas-powered cars to electric vehicles at a meeting with the Mexican president, US climate envoy John Kerry said the move would boost the Latin American country’s auto industry.

Kerry, US President Joe Biden’s special climate envoy, has argued that Mexico would profit if Biden accomplishes his far-reaching goal to phase out gasoline-powered vehicles.

Why it matters to the world if China delivers on its carbon targets

It has been well documented, most recently in last week’s International Energy Agency report, that the world’s governments have failed keeping up with their own climate change promises.

That is why as the globe prepares for the COP26 conference in Glasgow, Scotland, starting Oct. 31, analysts are watching whether the world’s largest emitter of greenhouse gases, China, is actually on track to meet its own climate objectives.

It’s pledged to have carbon dioxide emissions peak “around 2030” if not earlier, en route to net-zero emissions by 2060.

Yea trust China.

GOLDSTEIN: Wilkinson’s climate change math does not add up

Today, let’s consider the bafflegab Environment Minister Jonathan Wilkinson has been spouting recently about the Liberal record on climate change versus the Conservative one.

It’s an appropriate time to do so as a huge, 12-day United Nations conference on climate change in Glasgow, Scotland will begin Nov. 1, when Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Wilkinson will be talking about the issue endlessly.

The West’s Suicidal Energy Policies

Global warmists’ pipe-dreams and bad science.

History and common sense tell us that for a nation to survive, it must secure and control critical natural resources. In recent decades, Western nations have increasingly ignored this imperative in order to pursue dubious environmental goals dressed up as science, but more often the consequence of cultural ideals, political agendas, or profitable industries supported by government subsidies.

Insulate Britain is in bed with the establishment

The tabloids have had a field day with the revelation that an Insulate Britain activist is married to a director of Transport for London (TfL). Cathy Eastburn of Insulate Britain has been busy trying to bring transport to a standstill. She has been arrested four times for acts such as blocking roads and gluing her hands to a train. Meanwhile, her husband, Benedict Plowden, is in charge of ‘getting London moving after the pandemic’.

Rex Murphy: This energy crisis has been 30 years in the making. Why is anyone surprised?

The inevitable collision between 30 years of global warming hyper activism — the howling demonization of available, proven energy resources — and reality, is upon us. There is an atmosphere of semi-panic as many of the countries most committed to “getting off” oil and gas and turning their economies over to wind and sun find winter approaching and they, environmentally virtuous as they are, are wondering if they have enough oil and gas and even coal to get through it.

Rocking down to Electric Avenue? Good luck charging your car

LONDON, Oct 13 (Reuters) – European and U.S. cities planning to phase out combustion engines over the next 15 years first need to plug a charging gap for millions of residents who park their cars on the street.

For while electric vehicle (EVs) sales are soaring in Europe and the United States, a lag in installing charging infrastructure is causing a roadblock.

They don’t want you driving anything.

Big Tech is censoring the climate change debate

Fossil fuels are a miracle, but don’t go trying to say that on YouTube

“The limits of my language mean the limits of my world.” – Ludwig WittgensteinTractatus Logico-Philosophicus, 1922

Wittgenstein wrote that as an ontological and epistemological foundation for his larger belief in freedom of speech. He who controls the language also controls reality, something that today’s left understands brilliantly, even devilishly. America historically has not limited freedom of thought and speech, and the resulting clash of ideas has improved our national discourse. The language police makes us weaker intellectually by limiting the world in which we live.

Red China Tried To Go Green, Now It’s Going Dark

China went from dominating green energy to begging Americans for coal.

Last year, President Xi Jinping announced that Communist China was going to go carbon neutral by 2060. Like every Communist 5-year-plan, it began with lies and ended in disaster.

The 14th Renewable Energy Development Five Year Plan would have China dominate the green energy industry and increase its share of non-fossil fuel energy from 15% to 20%.

That was last year. This year, China is importing American coal to keep the lights on in its cities.

California law bans small off-road gas engines, including lawnmowers and chainsaws

Gavin Newsom Oily Evangelist

California took another step toward its goal of ridding the state of all gas-powered engines thanks to a new bill signed by Gov. Gavin Newsom on Saturday.

The new law will ban the sale of all off-road, gas-powered engines, including generators, lawn equipment, pressure washers, chainsaws, weed trimmers, and even golf carts. Under the new law , these machines must be zero-emissions, meaning they will have to be either battery-powered or plug-in, according to the Los Angeles Times.

GOLDSTEIN: Big news on climate change — Gambia wins, Canada loses

Canada is a laggard in the international effort to avert catastrophic climate change, according to a major new study by Climate Analytics, a global, non-profit climate science and policy institute.

The organization’s “climate action tracker” describes Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s policies as “highly insufficient” in regard to achieving the United Nations’ Paris climate accord goal he signed Canada up for in 2015.

Among Europe’s dirtiest: ‘Green’ biomass power plant in Yorkshire burning ‘renewable’ wood emits MORE CO2 than UK’s coal – report

A supposedly “carbon neutral” Drax biomass power plant is the UK’s leading source of CO2 emissions, and belches out more harmful carbon and particulate matter than some of Europe’s dirtiest coal plants, according to a new report.

Renewable energy firm Drax describes its plant in North Yorkshire as a “purely renewable” facility, boasting that it has slashed its carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions by 90% since 2012. The plant burns biomass – pellets of compressed wood – and received £832 million ($1.13 billion) in direct government subsidies last year, on top of an estimated £258 million ($351 million) in carbon tax breaks.
