St. John’s Pride names pro-Palestine advocacy group as grand marshals for annual parade

With Pride celebrations in St. John’s about to get underway, the announcement of the grand marshal for this year’s parade has been met with mixed reactions.

On July 21, Palestine Action YYT will lead the annual parade, which will wind its way through downtown St. John’s and end at Bannerman Park for the Pride in the Park event.

Can Israel afford to stand up to America?

There’s no denying the severe tensions between the Biden administration and the Israeli government over the conduct of the war being waged against Israel by Iran and its proxies.

Last month, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu publicly accused U.S. President Joe Biden of withholding weapons and ammunition from the embattled Jewish state.

Two weeks later, Rep. Michael McCaul (R-Tex.), chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, said the U.S. was withholding from Israel no fewer than seven weapons systems.

I don’t see an immediate break but under the Dems the relationship will suffer a slow death.

Islam in British democracy and the dangers to our Jewish neighbours

For the first time, this 4 July a British General Election will be fought in part over Islamic ideology.

There are currently four constituencies where Muslims constitute over 50 per cent of the electorate in 2024. Tim Dieppe, Head of Public Policy at Christian Concern, has published figures showing the slow steady growth of Islamic influence in the British Electorate.

A recent report revealed that Islam is the largest minority religion in 129 of the 220 most marginal seats in this UK General Election.

The influence of marginal seats has been highlighted by Rishi Sunak in the run up to the vote, suggesting that a small number of disillusioned conservatives are all it would take to deliver a hung parliament.

An issue you won’t find addressed in mainstream media.

Hamas faces growing public dissent as Gaza war erodes support

Gaza – Open concept living room

The man in the video is beside himself, a mask of anguish radiating through his bloodied face.

“I am an academic doctor,” he says, “I had a good life, but we have a filthy [Hamas] leadership. They got used to our bloodshed, may God curse them! They are scum!”

The video – unthinkable before the Gaza war – was filmed outside a hospital, inundated with hundreds of Palestinian casualties after an Israeli operation to free hostages from central Gaza last month.

The human inclination toward inertia guides Western nation’s anti-Israel policies

Humanity’s constant and, by the laws of physics, the unavoidable inclination is to minimize energy use. We naturally take the shortest route between two points. Just like a rock flying through space moves along a straight line, our bodies and minds naturally seek the shortest distance, shortest time, least energy consumption, or least costly manner to complete all tasks facing us. This is “the principle of least action.” This principle goes a long way to explaining the Left’s hostility to Jews and support for Hamas and its fellow travelers.

School boards shouldn’t rush into adopting anti-Palestinian racism strategies

On June 20, Toronto District School Board (TDSB) trustees voted 15-7 to add the term “anti-Palestinian racism” to its anti-racism strategy. As a result, a new working group will be established to create a stand-alone strategy to address anti-Palestinian racism and discrimination in schools, and the board will introduce a “professional learning series” on the topic. While on its face this development might seem righteous and well-intentioned, for many in the Jewish community, highlighting anti-Palestinian racism raises red flags. In light of these dynamics and the potential risks, we need to start having more challenging conversations about anti-Palestinian racism, even if those conversations are uncomfortable.

Anthony Housefather denounces ‘plain antisemitism’ on posters erected in Montreal

Liberal MP Anthony Housefather is denouncing posters erected in Montreal that show the flag of Nazi Germany and equate Zionism to terrorism.

The posters also target Housefather directly, describing him as a neo-Nazi and calling for him to “get out of Canada.”

Housefather denounced the posters on social media Tuesday evening. In an interview Wednesday, he described them as “plain antisemitism.”

Housefather’s party has actively courted the Islamist antisemites and their useful idiots.

All our mainstream parties are guilty of coddling them.

Anyone in any party who thought importing Islamists was good for Canada should be Jailed.

It’s like asking the Waffen SS to settle here in WW II.

From the River to the Sea – Israeli sovereignty!

In the words of the late Salomon Benzimra, author of The Jewish People’s Rights to the Land of Israel

“Tell the world there will be no negotiating until the territorial sovereignty of Israel and Judea Samaria is no longer questioned.”

The entire world shared their views on the Jews and Israel after October 7.

We are living through times where too many stand with the Barbarians. Why do people CHOOSE to stand with evil? For surely that is what is happening when western countries stand with Muslim countries against Israel’s right to exist. When US college students demonstrate for Hamas. The question is “which Israel”? What are the borders to which they disagree?

I don’t think Israel has much of a choice. Go it alone and get used to it.

They are increasingly isolated and know first hand that nothing they can do or say will assuage their enemies hatred.

I find some of their “Canadian” outreach to be questionable though it may be deemed necessary due to the diaspora’s declining public & political capital.

Allying with Canada’s Hindus against pro-Khalistan Sikhs as some grass-roots organizations have done is not a good look given the vicious persecution Christians face in India.

Oh well.

Big Lies About Israel

Palestinians. Casual get together.

For months, Israel has refuted libelous claims of famine in Gaza, as international organizations — especially the UN and the EU, the International Court of Justice and mainstream media alongside NGOs such as Human Rights Watch — pushed the false, malicious narrative that Israel was causing famine in Gaza and even using it as a “weapon of war.” Israel might have saved itself the effort. No one was listening.

U of T encampment Hamasphrodites bravely ran away ahead of 6 p.m. deadline

After staying more than 60 days at an encampment they set up at the University of Toronto, pro-Palestinian protesters have moved out of the site ahead of the 6 p.m. deadline.

At a 5 p.m. news conference, organizers confirmed that they were “departing” from King’s College Circle, saying they “refuse to give the Toronto Police Service an opportunity to brutalize us.”

“We are leaving on our terms to protect our community from the violence.”

The streets will run brown with Double Doubles! Toronto police will enforce order that U of T encampment must come down so they say

The Toronto Police Service says it will enforce a court order granted yesterday that says demonstrators at a pro-Palestinian protest encampment at the University of Toronto must dismantle the site by 6 p.m. today.

Ontario Superior Court Justice Markus Koehnen says while there is no evidence the encampment participants have been violent or antisemitic, the demonstration has taken away the university’s ability to control what happens in the area known as King’s College Circle.

I wonder if by “enforce” they mean like they did about public nudity at the Pride parade?

Why Are Hamas’s Crimes Ignored by Western Media?

If you think that the Palestinian Authority (PA) or any Arab state would agree to take control of the Gaza Strip as long as the Iran-backed terrorist group Hamas has not been totally destroyed and removed from power, you would be wrong.

Removing the military and governing capabilities of Hamas, however, unfortunately cannot be achieved as long as the Biden administration and Western countries keep exerting pressure on Israel to halt the war, which erupted after the Hamas-led October 7, 2023 attack that resulted in the murder of 1,200 Israelis and the abduction of more than 240 others as hostages.

U of T gets injunction to clear encampment

An Ontario court has granted an injunction to the University of Toronto to clear a pro-Palestinian encampment on school property.

The Ontario Superior of Court of Justice ruled Tuesday that protesters must take down tents in an area known as King’s College Circle by Wednesday at 6 p.m.

The order by Justice Markus Koehnen also gives Toronto police the authority to arrest and remove anyone who refuses to comply with the court order.

At this point I doubt anyone cares much.
