U.S. Warships Head to Red Sea, but Shipping Firms Remain on Edge

New Ballistic Missiles Displayed at the Houthi Military Parade

Regional politics and well-armed Houthi adversaries in Yemen are among the challenges facing U.S.-led naval force

Hours after the U.S. announced a multinational task force to protect commercial traffic through the Red Sea, shipping giant A.P. Moller-Maersk said it would send its vessels around the Cape of Good Hope in southern Africa instead.

The message was clear: Jitters remain about a possible snarl to one of the world’s most crucial trade routes.

Attacks on merchant vessels by Houthi forces in Yemen, a militia group backed by Iran, continued this week—including two on Monday. The attacks have mostly taken place near the southern end of the Red Sea, called Bab el-Mandeb, or the Gate of Tears.

Rex Murphy: An antisemitic menace stalks Canada and Trudeau couldn’t care less

It is very hard, indeed it may be impossible, to disagree with the flood of online remarks asserting that the treatment of the pro-Hamas, anti-Israel protests differ rather troublingly from the treatment meted out to Canadian truckers.

I’m not aware that Tamara Lich at any point during the trucker’s sojourn in Ottawa, in full voice, and in direct proximity to police officers, gave vent to “I’ll kill you … I’ll put you six feet deep” to either a policeman or to a passerby. During the weeks of the Freedom Convoy protest, as far as I know, and equally as far as the authorities are aware, at no point did she express murderous intent, make explicit death threats, or act with grand insouciance while doing so in the presence of numerous police.

Trudeau says antisemitism he and his pals created is ‘terrifying’ after teen terror charges

Trudeau says antisemitism rise is ‘terrifying’ after teen terror charges

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau says the rise of antisemitism in Canada is “terrifying” after a 15-year-old was arrested late on Friday night in Ottawa and charged with terrorism-related offences.

The RCMP say it’s alleged the youth, who cannot be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, intended to target the Jewish community and is suspected of having explosive materials.

Doctors Without Borders, an Accomplice of Hamas?

The public statements since October 7 of Doctors Without Borders (Médecins Sans Frontières, MSF) and its employees, on the ground in Gaza, show a systematic bias in favor of Hamas and hostility to Israel. MSF has failed in its humanitarian purpose and violated its own charter, which proclaims “assistance… irrespective of race, religion, creed or political convictions.”

MSF has been present in the Gaza Strip since 1989. It now plays a leading role there, with at least 300 staff members, and works closely with local hospitals on a number of projects, either directly or indirectly with the Hamas “Ministry of Health”.

Meet the Mainstream Media’s Go-To Human Rights Experts. Spoiler Alert: They Hate Israel.

The Washington Post recently tapped two human rights experts, Omar Shakir and Raji Sourani, to lambast Israel over viral photographs of Palestinian prisoners clad in their underwear. In that story, headlined, “Hungry, Thirsty, and Humiliated: Israel’s Mass Arrest Campaign Sows Fear in Northern Gaza,” Shakir called for an international investigation of the Jewish state. Sourani condemned Israel for littering Gaza with “corpses all over the place.”

Rahim Mohamed: Maher Arar returns to spread antisemitism and misinformation

In the wake of the Israel-Hamas war, a central figure from Canada’s early-2000s War on Terror has resurfaced on Twitter, sharing his opinions on the conflict with anyone who will give him the time of day.

Ottawa-based tech entrepreneur Maher Arar has been tweeting up a storm lately, with the bio, “I expose lies and deception through audio and video forensic analysis.” In practice, this has meant amplifying pro-Hamas narratives to his near 16,000 followers and openly attempting to minimize the Oct. 7 massacre.

Alec Baldwin gets in shouting match with anti-Israel protesters who targeted him, ‘tanking’ career in NYC: ‘Shut your f—kig mouth’

Alec Baldwin was berated by anti-Israel protesters on Monday evening after hundreds of agitators flooded into Penn Station and Grand Central Station during a fiery demonstration where they told Israel to “go to hell.”

The irate “30 Rock” star jawed out the protesters who told him he has “no f—king shame” and belittled his “tanking” career while hundreds descended on the major Big Apple transit hubs during the protest opposing Israel’s military campaign in Gaza against Hamas.

Two-Thirds of Americans 18-24 Believe That Jews Are Oppressors

A Harvard/Harris poll conducted on December 13 and 14 found that 67 percent of Americans between the ages of 18 and 24 believe that “Jews as a class are oppressors.” While the question posed isn’t worded as well as one would hope for a survey — “Do you think that Jews as a class are oppressors and should be treated as oppressors or is that a false ideology?” should probably be a true/false query instead of the oppressor/false ideology construction — the other age groups appear to have the moral clarity and reading comprehension to understand what’s being asked of them. With ages 18–24 (Gen Z) being a full 23 points more Jew-distrustful than their next closest group, 25–34 (Millennials), one has to wonder how the youngest respondents came to their answers.

Hamas’ Lust for Mutilation, Murder & Sexual Atrocity

Hamas groomed an army of angry, insecure, wife-beating psychopaths and gave them permission to rape, mutilate and kill Israeli men, women, and children. The terror organization drugged these psychopaths, told them to videotape their atrocities, and offered them a $10,000 reward for taking hostages. Hamas savages were high on captagon, Israeli blood, and visions of martyrdom. They believed that they were heroes righting wrongs and injustices by killing and violating the “oppressors” who stole and occupy their land.

Jesse Kline: Radicalized in universities, ‘journalists’ seek more bias against Israel

An open letter signed by over 250 Canadian journalists calling on the media to be even more biased against Israel than it already is provides insight into how a woke progressive ideology that shuns debate and demands narratives conform to a rigid ideological worldview, even when it conflicts with reality, escaped the confines of university campuses and came to dominate government and civil society.

Canada joins EU, Britain, others decrying ‘extremist settler’ violence in West Bank

No Charges: Ottawa Cops Opt To Appease Muslims Who Shit All Over Christmas At Bayshore Mall

No charges laid following pro-Palestine protest at Bayshore Shopping Centre

Ottawa police say no charges were laid after a protest erupted at the Bayshore Shopping Centre in Ottawa last Friday that was targeting the clothing retailer Zara.

A crowd of approximately 100 demonstrators with Palestinian flags, signs, and drums marched through the Bayshore Shopping Centre Friday evening to protest the Spanish fashion company, which has come under fire for a recent advertising campaign that critics say references the Israel-Hamas war and the resulting devastation in Gaza.
