Support for Israel is falling across US and UK

Gaza – one can only imagine the hardship.

The US remains a global outlier in its popular support for Israel, but pro-Israel sentiments are declining. Americans continue to side more with Israelis than Palestinians, yet recent data shows that net support for Israelis dropped a full 14 percentage points from October to November amid continued fighting in Gaza.

‘From the river to the sea’ should have no place in public discourse

Seldom has a phrase risen so quickly to such infamy as the expression, “From the river to the sea.” Often paired with “Palestine will be free,” the expression is often heard at pro-Palestinian protests. University campuses are in an uproar over it. Left-wing politicians in Britain and the U.S. have been censured or even suspended by their parties for daring to use it. It is widely held to be an antisemitic call for the destruction of Israel. The fact that it was used in PLO statements in the 1960s, when that organization was officially committed to the destruction of Israel, and more recently in the Hamas charter, lends serious credence to these concerns.

It has been in use for years I doubt that any attempt to criminalize it will succeed.

Heightened Security Measures at Christmas Markets Across Europe

Across Europe, authorities are increasing security at Christmas markets. This follows the deadly terrorist attack in Paris on December 3rd and a spate of recent arrests in Germany of Islamic State sympathizers plotting to strike at seasonal festivities.

Following the Paris terror attack, Ylva Johansson—EU Commissioner for Home Affairs—indicated that the EU would free up €30 million (£26m) for additional security measures. She also expressed concern that  the Israel-Hamas war could increase social polarization, triggering similar incidents.

Opinion: The Muslim world’s selective outrage over Israel

The pro-Hamas, pro-Palestine, anti-Israel rallies on the streets of Canada, the United States, Europe and the Middle East are nothing new. Ever since the creation of State of Israel in 1948, Arab politics has largely been defined by Palestinian question.

The question for the rest of us is: what drives this sentiment? Is this expression of political support driven by sympathy and affinity for Muslims in Palestine? Is this a question of human and religious rights? Or is it a decades-long attempt to change a regional geopolitical situation that Arab rulers believe is unfairly tilted towards a lone Jewish state in a sea of Arab monarchies?

Polish right-wing MP douses Jewish menorah with fire extinguisher

Grzegorz Braun, an antisemitic lawmaker from the right-wing Confederation party, on Tuesday doused the candles in a Hanukkah menorah in the Polish parliament with a fire extinguisher — denouncing the Jewish ritual as “Satanic.”

“Racist motives have been attributed to me here, meanwhile, I am just restoring a state of normalcy and balance here, putting an end to acts of Satanic, Talmudist triumphalism, because that is the message of these holidays,” Braun, peppered with white powder from the extinguisher, said in the parliament building.

Canada, New Zealand, Australia call for efforts toward ‘sustainable ceasefire’ in Israel-Hamas war

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is joining allies in calling for “efforts towards a sustainable ceasefire” in the Israel-Hamas war — the first time the government of Canada has officially used the word “ceasefire” in relation to the conflict.

Trudeau and the prime ministers of Australia and New Zealand issued a joint statement Tuesday calling for the resumption of the seven-day pause in fighting that ended earlier this month.

“The recent pause in hostilities allowed for the release of more than 100 hostages and supported an increase in humanitarian access to affected civilians,” the statement said.

In Their Words: The Families of Hamas’ Victims

I arrived in Israel early in the morning, and, shortly after dropping my things off at my cousin’s house, we headed for a gathering in front of the Knesset of families who had members either murdered or kidnapped on 10/7. The protest was as personal as it ever gets. There was a small platform and some sound equipment, but, when I arrived, they were not being used. There were a couple of tables where they were selling “bring them home” T-shirts, of which I bought two, one for my cousin and one for myself. There was also a table with simple refreshments. But mainly there were people sitting on plastic chairs in small circles of six or eight, silently sharing their ineffable grief.

Biden Warns Israel It Is ‘Losing Support’ Over War

President Biden warned Israel’s leaders on Tuesday that they were losing international support for their war in Gaza, exposing a widening rift with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who rejected out of hand the American vision for a postwar resolution to the conflict.

Mr. Biden delivered the blunt assessment of America’s closest ally in the Middle East during a fund-raiser in Washington, where he described Mr. Netanyahu as the leader of “the most conservative government in Israel’s history,” which “doesn’t want a two-state solution” to the country’s long-running dispute with Palestinians.

Will killing Yahya Sinwar end the war in Gaza?

Somewhere beneath the rambling town of Khan Yunis, Yahya Sinwar, the murderous leader of Hamas in Gaza, is awaiting his fate. The terrorist leader, who orchestrated the October 7 atrocity and the deaths of 1,200 innocent Israelis, knows that his days are numbered.

Either the sixty-one-year-old Palestinian will die from the impact of a 500-pound satellite-guided Joint Direct Attack Munition bomb exploding above the fetid hole in which he is hiding or his life will end in a hail of bullets fired by Israeli commandos, with orders to kill and not capture the Hamas leader.

Conrad Black: Israel’s War on Hamas Has So Far Been an Overwhelming Success

It is an underpublicized fact that the Israeli-Hamas war is unfolding as an overwhelming Israeli success. The Israel Defence Forces are now operating over practically the entire territory of Gaza. They have eliminated or shut down hundreds of miles of the Hamas tunnel network and uncovered and removed large quantities of Hamas arms and munitions. The Israeli general staff has revealed that for the first time, Hamas warriors are beginning to surrender on assurances of civilized treatment.

Harvard confirms Affirmative Action Anti-Semite Claudine Gay will remain prez— despite reported $1B loss over antisemitism scandal

Harvard University announced Tuesday that under-fire President Claudine Gay will keep her job — even after reportedly losing more than $1 billion in donations since her disastrous congressional testimony about antisemitism.

Claudine Gay – Affirmative Action Anti-Semite

The Harvard Corporation — the university’s highest governing body — made its announcement Tuesday following night-long talks between Gay and university leaders, a source familiar with the decision told the student newspaper, the Harvard Crimson.

“As members of the Harvard Corporation, we today reaffirm our support for President Gay’s continued leadership of Harvard University. Our extensive deliberations affirm our confidence that President Gay is the right leader to help our community heal and to address the very serious societal issues we are facing,” the group said in a statement.

Canada will support ‘accountability system’ to investigate Israeli military conduct, says Joly

Canada eventually will support an “accountability system” to investigate Israel’s military conduct during its war against Hamas, Foreign Affairs Minister Mélanie Joly said Monday.

Joly also called for an end to the violence in Gaza but stopped short of demanding a ceasefire. She said Canada was still looking at different versions of an expected ceasefire resolution that the United Nations General Assembly is expected to vote on Tuesday.

Journalist on IDF duty: ‘This is what we found in Gaza homes’

Major (res.) Roy Yanovsky, head of the Channel 13 News investigative desk, on reserve duty with the 7007th Reserve Battalion in Gaza, posted pictures of the items he and other soldiers found in Gaza houses on his X account.

“Things you find in Gaza homes:” Yanovsky wrote, starting a thread and noting that the most common items were RPG missiles and Kalashnikov rifles. “The supply is highly impressive,” he wrote.

The second common item is explosive charges. “It’s hard to find a street without a house that has several ready-to-use, including vests, uniforms, and pretty impressive combat equipment,” he added.

Palestinian flags flutter from the fallen cities of Eurabia

Nazi collaborator Quisling would be proud of his fellow Europeans, self-titled “wokes” and “progressives,” not national socialists.

“We let the Trojan horse in. I’ve been telling my friends for thirty years that we’re screwed with Islamism. When the Muslim Brotherhood appeared in Afghanistan, I wrote ‘The Sleep of the Monster’, a very harsh book published in 1998 and which sold 300,000 copies; my remarks were 100 percent inspired by the Muslim Brotherhood but, at that moment, I did not want to name, and therefore target, just one religion. So I chose to talk about the three monotheisms. In twenty years, and probably less, perhaps only ten, we will no longer recognize Europe. We are witnessing the end of a world, of a great world, our West. And the end of the West hides this kind of reverse McCarthyism called Wokism and which produces hatred towards Israel, towards capitalism, towards the white man. It takes incredible blindness, even a form of intellectual hemiplegia, not to see what Islamization is. How could this have escaped the attention of young people and wokists? How can one be Wokist, that is, integrate neofeminism and Islamogoschism? I do not understand ! Have we heard from the neo-feminists about Iranian women? Do the LGBT associations demonstrating for the Palestinians know how homosexuals are treated in Gaza? Lack of culture is winning.”
