Carney, allies sanctioning 2 Israeli ministers over Gaza comments

Carney attends first stoning in Canada.

Britain and other allies imposed sanctions on two far-right Israeli ministers, Itamar Ben-Gvir and Bezalel Smotrich, on Tuesday over “their repeated incitements of violence against Palestinian communities,” the U.K.’s foreign ministry said.

Canada, Australia, New Zealand and Norway joined Britain in freezing the assets and imposing travel bans on Israel’s National Security Minister Ben-Gvir — a West Bank settler — and Finance Minister Smotrich.

Greta Thunberg and ‘freedom flotilla’ activists ‘REFUSED to watch footage of October 7 atrocities’ before being deported

Greta Thunberg is now on a plane out of Israel along with three other ‘freedom flotilla’ activists deported after they reportedly refused to watch footage of Hamas atrocities carried out on October 7, 2023 in Israel.

The crew of the Madleen ship, who had planned to sail to Gaza to deliver aid, were scooped up by Israeli Navy boats well before they reached shore yesterday and towed to the port of Ashdod.

Eight of the 12 activists refused to sign deportation papers and are being detained pending a court hearing. Thunberg and three others signed the documents and are now on a flight out of Israel.

Greta Thunberg will be forced to watch footage of herself , say Israelis

Greta Thunberg will be made to watch footage of Oct 7, say Israelis

Israel’s military has been ordered to show Greta Thunberg footage of Hamas’s Oct 7 2023 attack on southern Israel.

Israel Katz, the defence minister, on Monday congratulated the IDF for its interception of an aid boat carrying Ms Thunberg and 11 other activists before it could reach Gaza.

After confirming the passengers would be deported back to their home countries once the boat reached the Israeli port of Ashdod, he said he had instructed troops to “show the flotilla passengers the video of the horrors of the October 7 massacre”.

Palestinians Weigh In: The Real Reason Hamas Wants To ‘Sacrifice’ Them

On the eve of the Islamic feast of Eid al-Adha (Festival of Sacrifice), Hamas leader Khalil al-Hayya — in charge of the negotiations to release the hostages and reach a ceasefire agreement with Israel — delivered a speech in which he said: “Gaza has offered itself as a sacrifice for the Muslim ummah [nation] and deserves its full support in return.”

London-based ‘Hamas operative’ behind Greta Thunberg’s Gaza flotilla

A man accused of being “a Hamas operative” based in London is a key figure behind Greta Thunberg’s Gaza-bound aid boat, it emerged on Monday.

Zaher Birawi, who was described in Parliament as a person with links to Hamas, describes himself as a “founding member” of the Freedom Flotilla International Coalition, which arranged the voyage by the aid boat Madleen.

Israeli forces boarded and seized the boat on Sunday – detaining the 12 pro-Palestinian activists it was carrying, including Ms Thunberg – as it attempted to bring a “symbolic” amount of aid to Gaza in defiance of an Israeli naval blockade.

Insufferable scold Greta Thunberg is unfortunately alive and in good hands

Israeli forces take control of Gaza aid boat carrying Greta Thunberg

Israel’s military took control of a boat trying to deliver food to Palestinians in Gaza in the early hours of Monday morning, and brought its crew of activists including Greta Thunberg to an Israeli port.

The Madleen was making a symbolic attempt to break to the blockade of Gaza and raise awareness of a looming “starvation crisis”.

It was never likely to get through Israel’s naval blockade of the territory, where UN-backed experts have warned of looming famine, and dozens of people have been killed by Israeli forces trying to reach food distribution centres.

‘Violation of int’l law’: Hamas, foreign government attack Israel over Gaza flotilla’s interception

Varying reactions were issued on Monday after the IDF intercepted the Gaza Freedom Flotilla, Madleen, early in the morning. Foreign ministries with citizens on board the ship confirmed that they have requested consular access.

Yes, Guns Are for Jews. Especially These Days

On October 7, 2023, Hamas viciously attacked the nation of Israel. Their attacks targeted some military bases, apparently, but also involved the senseless slaughter of innocent young people at a music festival and men, women, and children at kibbutzes.

Not all of them made it through unscathed, though. While the military fought back, as one would expect, a lot of civilian Israelis also used guns to fight back.

‘It’s high spirits’: life aboard Greta Thunberg’s Gaza-bound flotilla

On board a 60ft UK-flagged yacht bound for Gaza, Greta Thunberg and her fellow crew members are preparing for the moment — perhaps today, perhaps tomorrow — when Israel confronts them in full view of the world.

“I would say it’s fairly calm, but high spirits. We are very happy to be actually going, to be sailing,” Thunberg, 22, told me in a voice message sent from the vessel.

The climate activist is one of 12 crew aboard the Madleen, which left Catania, Sicily, last week. They have set course for Gaza with supplies including baby formula, rice and nappies, and an aim of breaking the naval blockade imposed by Israel on the coastal strip and raising awareness of the plight of Palestinians.

Greta Thunberg and the Gaza Clownshow

Greta Thunberg recently emerged from the cultural wilderness to board a boat destined for Gaza. Clutching a microphone, tears running down her face, she announced that she was there to raise “international awareness”. Cameras clicked, the Palestinian flag fluttered, and the sea swallowed the horizon. To some, it was courage. To others, a shameless stunt. But for anyone who’s been watching closely, this was the final contortion of dissent into something pre-packaged and painfully self-serving.

Netanyahu defends arming Palestinian clans accused of ties with jihadist groups

The Israeli prime minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, has admitted arming clans in Gaza that he says are opposed to Hamas, after allegations that members of these criminal gangs looted humanitarian aid and have ties to jihadist groups.

The admission came after Israeli media reports quoted defence sources as saying Netanyahu had authorised giving weapons to a clan reportedly led by a man known as Yasser Abu Shabab, a Rafah resident from a Bedouin family, known locally for his involvement in criminal activity. Israel allegedly provided Abu Shabab’s group, which calls itself the “Anti-Terror Service”, with Kalashnikov assault rifles, including weapons seized from Hamas.

“On the advice of security officials, we activated clans in Gaza that oppose Hamas. What’s wrong with that?” Netanyahu said in a short video he posted on social media. “It only saves the lives of Israeli solders, and publicising this only benefits Hamas.”

History repeats. Unfortunately.

Can liberal Jews admit that Trump is right about woke antisemitism?

(JNS) It was no coincidence that on the same day that much of the mainstream media swallowed Hamas lies about Israelis slaughtering people in the Gaza Strip, that another violent antisemitic attack occurred in the United States. What happened in Boulder, Colo., on June 1, when an Egyptian immigrant attempted to incinerate a group of American Jews, many of them elderly, who were walking in a public space on behalf of the remaining Israeli hostages being held by Hamas, was a horrifying crime.

My guess – Nope.

Why Hamas Rejected Witkoff’s Ceasefire Plan

The leaders of the Iran-backed Hamas terror group do not seem to be in a rush to end the war with Israel: after all, they and their family members are not living in the Gaza Strip, which has been turned into a war zone over the past 20 months.

Hamas’s political leaders, billionaires funded by Iran’s mullahs and the rulers of Qatar, live in several Arab and Islamic countries, including Qatar, Turkey, Algeria and Lebanon. They and their family members lead luxurious lives in these countries and do not have to worry about lack of food or medicine.

Israel threatens to ‘act accordingly’ as Greta Thunberg frolics on sailing boat heading to Gaza

Israel warned Wednesday that it is “prepared” to “act accordingly” to stop Greta Thunberg’s so-called Freedom Flotilla Coalition from reaching Gaza — as the eco-activist frolicked and filmed smiling social media content on the Mediterranean Sea.

Thunberg, 22, set sail Sunday to bring milk and protein bars to Gaza — with the Swedish campaigner posting images of her glamming it up onboard in a keffiyeh and holding a Palestinian flag.

The RCMP investigation on the Gaza war shows Canada’s approach to Israel could be changing

Canadian authorities are conducting an investigation into war crimes and other potential atrocities committed in the Israel-Hamas war. First reported by journalist Ben Mussett, the news comes amidst mounting evidence of the intentional starvation of civilians in Gaza, the refusal of Hamas to return hostages, moves to build new (and illegal) settlements in the West Bank, and open calls among Israeli leaders to depopulate Gaza. The RCMP investigation marks the first time that Canada has dedicated tangible resources to investigating international crimes in the Palestinian territories and Israel.
