Protesters disrupt London Marathon by throwing red paint on Tower Bridge

Youth Demand demonstrators have thrown red powder paint on Tower Bridge during the London Marathon.

The group, which is calling for a trade embargo on Israel, said two of its supporters jumped over the barriers and threw the substance in front of the men’s elite race at around 10.35am.

This is an existential election for Jewish Canadians

After nearly a decade of Liberal government, we are watching history repeat itself. Synagogues are being burned, schools shot at, businesses attacked, and hatred paraded openly through our streets. These are not isolated incidents — they are warnings. And ignoring them now would be a deadly mistake.

This election is not just political. For Jewish Canadians, it is existential. Our future in this country hinges on choosing leadership willing to act decisively against rising hate.

A passionate argument but not a universally accepted viewpoint.

ANALYSIS: Are Canadian Jews really moving to the Conservatives?

There isn’t much evidence for the supposed rightward shift among Jewish voters — or for its impact

And …

I’m a Jewish Canadian, and I won’t be voting for Pierre Poilievre

Commentators in the mainstream media have suggested that most Jews voting for the Conservatives under Pierre Poilievre are doing so largely on the basis of the party’s policies on antisemitism and Israel. The CBC’s flagship news program, The National, carried perhaps the definitive take on this theme earlier this week.

I believe it is too late in the game. The Canadian state and its political class have chosen a side and it isn’t Israel’s.

Our elites are guilty of importing a violent incompatible culture –  Islam. They know it.

And now they cultivate the Muslim vote to save their skins.

PS. Jews voting Liberal remind me of the commies who refused to believe Stalin was a mass murdering lunatic despite Khrushchev’s denunciation.

Honorary Doctorates for Hamas’s Favorite “Fig Leaves”? Universities Have Officially Lost the Plot

Oh, academia, you never cease to amaze. Just when you think the ivory tower couldn’t sink any lower into the swamp of performative virtue, along comes Mount Saint Vincent University (MSVU) in Halifax, gleefully tossing honorary doctorates at Judy and Larry Haiven like confetti at a woke wedding. Why, you ask? For their “pro-Palestine work” through Independent Jewish Voices Canada (IJV), a group that’s less about Jewish voices and more about providing a flimsy fig leaf for some of the most unsavory characters in the anti-Israel circus. Buckle up, folks—this one’s a masterclass in how to make your university look pathetic while exposing a deeper rot in education.

This election, I’m voting for Gaza. But please don’t call me a single-issue voter

I am prioritizing parties’ and politicians’ stances on Gaza when I vote in the federal election on April 28 — but please, don’t call me a single-issue voter.

As a Palestinian Canadian, Gaza feels like the best test I can use to gauge a politician’s actual commitment to human rights. The core principle behind human rights is that they are universal (apply to everyone) and inalienable (cannot be taken away). Over the past 18 months, I have watched Israel violate just about every human right that I learned about in school, while so many Canadian politicians stayed silent. If a politician isn’t willing to fight for the human rights of Palestinians, how can we trust they’ll defend Canadian rights? You might think our existing laws safeguard your rights against those who would take them away, but I’m sure many Americans thought the same thing about due process, too. Things can change fast.

The Untold Story of How Israel Failed on October 7

The Hebrew word mechdal has no precise equivalent in English. It signifies a great catastrophe for which human beings are responsible by inaction, error, or irresponsibility. The Yom Kippur War of 1973, which began when an unprepared IDF was taken by surprise by simultaneous Syrian and Egyptian attacks, has often been referred to as a mechdal. The October 7, 2023, attack was an even greater mechdal.

The more you learn about the events of that day, the more it seems that almost everything that could go wrong did go wrong. In fact, things could easily have gone far worse.

Why Hamas Must Not Be Allowed to Keep Its Weapons

As the war in the Gaza Strip is about to enter its 20th month, the Iran-backed Hamas terrorist group has once again repeated its refusal to disarm. It says the weapons are needed to continue its fight against Israel. Those who believe that Hamas would ever agree to lay down its weapons are living in a dream world. There is, unfortunately, only one way to convince Hamas to disarm: military force.

Recently, two senior Hamas officials, Mahmoud Mardawi and Bassam Naim, announced their group’s absolute rejection of any proposal related to laying down its weapons. They said that other Palestinian terrorist groups in the Gaza Strip also reject any plan to disarm.

Anti-Hamas protests on rise in Gaza as group’s iron grip slips

“Out! Out! Out!”

The voice in the Telegram video is insistent. Loud. Sometimes musical.

And the message unambiguous.

“All of Hamas, out!”

On the streets of Gaza, more and more Palestinians are expressing open defiance against the armed group that’s ruled the strip for almost 20 years.

Many hold Hamas responsible for plunging the tiny, impoverished territory into the worst crisis faced by Palestinians in more than 70 years.

More than 300 candidates sign on to campaign pushed by radical anti-Israel group

At least 300 federal candidates, including 19 Liberals, have lent their names to an initiative bearing explicit links to one of Canada’s most radical anti-Israel groups.

As of press time, the website VotePalestine.ca lists more than 330 candidates who have expressed “full” endorsement of their “Palestine Platform.”

The platform calls on Canada to recognize Palestinian statehood without any caveat that Hamas be removed from power in Gaza.

The Iran-Hamas Plan to Unleash More Terrorism Against Israel

After bringing death and destruction on the residents of the Gaza Strip, the Iran-backed Hamas terrorist group is now trying to drag Arab Israelis and Palestinians in east Jerusalem and the West Bank into a violent confrontation with Israel.

Hamas and Iran’s mullahs will not be content until they see bloodshed and violence spread to areas outside the Gaza Strip. For them, this is a way of distracting attention from the catastrophe they brought on the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip for the past 18 months. They want the world’s attention to shift from the Gaza Strip to the West Bank, Jerusalem, and the two-million-strong community of Arab citizens inside Israel.

Liberal Jewish groups fight for Hamas supporters

Ahead of Passover, the Jewish Democratic Council of America sent out a mailing headlined, “Pharaoh in the White House”.

According to JDCA’s head Halie Soifer, Trump was the reincarnation of the ancient tyrant at the heart of the Passover story because he was deporting antisemites.

“Legal residents and others are being illegally detained and, in some cases, deported without due process. Much of this is happening in our name, ostensibly to “fight antisemitism,” the former foreign policy advisor to Kamala complained.

TDSB investigating allegations that lunchroom supervisor showed kindergarten kids graphic Gaza video

Toronto’s public school board is investigating allegations that a lunchroom supervisor showed graphic video of the war in Gaza to kindergarten kids, leaving students traumatized and parents outraged.

The incident is alleged to have occurred last week at Alexander Muir/Gladstone Ave Junior and Senior Public School, and the lunchroom supervisor is currently on leave.

“These allegations are very troubling and a thorough investigation is underway to understand what occurred,” said Ryan Bird, spokesperson for the Toronto District School Board.
