Diddy and Clinton: Scumbags R’US

There will be a (large) percentage of readers whose eyes will roll at this headline: You don’t listen to Sean Combs… or P. Diddy… or Diddy… or Puff Daddy… or whatever he’s calling himself today. Not your jam, not your bag: “So, okay, Combs was busted this week for sex trafficking and racketeering and is currently sitting inside a jail cell on suicide watch. But why should I care?”

The staggering fall of Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs – from music mogul to criminal charges

Brooklyn’s grim Metropolitan detention center (MDC) is now for the foreseeable future home to Diddy, AKA Sean Combs, one of the most well-known voices in American entertainment whose business empire once seemed to know no bounds.

The MDC is 5 miles (8km) from the public housing projects in Bedford-Stuyvesant where Combs’s biggest Bad Boy Records star, Biggie Smalls, grew up, but more than 20 miles from the middle-class suburb of Mount Vernon, where Combs himself was raised.

Smalls was murdered in Los Angeles in 1997, but Combs went on to amass a fortune and global fame by marrying street attitude to luxury consumer capitalism. But that all crashed and burned last week. On Wednesday a New York judge rejected a $50m bail package for Combs, in part because of witness intimidation allegations, ahead of his trial on three criminal counts, including racketeering conspiracy; sex trafficking by force, fraud or coercion; and transportation to engage in prostitution.

I wonder if names will be named?

Diddy ‘as bad as Epstein,’ says officer who saw his sex rooms, hidden cameras during Miami mansion raid

Sordid new details have emerged of the so-called sex rooms that Sean “Diddy” Combs allegedly kept in his Miami mansion — filled with sex toys, bondage gear, hidden cameras and lingerie, according to a federal source, who said the disgraced rapper is “as bad as Epstein.”

One of the Department of Homeland Security agents who helped raid Diddy’s Florida abode claimed that the music mogul had rooms that were clearly “dedicated to sex” with cameras all around.

Diddy’s dead girlfriend Kim Porter exposes his debauched life of threesomes, sex with young boys and unspeakable violence

Something in common …

A new book accuses Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs of assaulting his late girlfriend, taping himself having sex with a male teenage popstar, and sex parties with an Oscar winner and his wife.

The 60-page book, Kim’s Lost Words, claims to be a collection of the diaries of Kim Porter, the mother of three of his children who died of pneumonia in 2018, leaked by her friends.

It describes Combs’s colorful love life from the 1990s through Porter’s final year, including alleged philandering with both male and female top musicians and rappers, and debauched orgies at his home, in which Porter took part.

Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs vows he won’t have women at his house as he begs judge to release him to home detention

Sean “Diddy” Combs vowed he won’t have women visit his Florida mansion Wednesday as his defense attorneys beg a judge to release him to home detention until he faces trial on sex-trafficking and racketeering charges.

The 54-year-old rapper was set to appear for a second day in a row in Manhattan federal court at 3:30 p.m. — for a hearing where he’ll request to be sprung from the notorious Metropolitan Detention Center on a $50 million bond.

His attorneys argue that electronic monitoring and a slew of other conditions should assure the trial judge and prosecutors that Combs won’t go on the lam or harm others while he awaits trial.

Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs forced victims into ‘Freak Off’ sex sessions with male prostitutes: feds

Birds of a feather.

Sean “Diddy” Combs forced women into sick “Freak Off” sex sessions with male prostitutes that were often recorded while the music producer masturbated, a bombshell indictment alleged Tuesday.

The music mogul, 48, who has been hit with federal sex trafficking and racketeering charges, allegedly got his female victims into the days-long sexual performances as part of his alleged pattern of abuse dating back more than a decade, Manhattan federal prosecutors said.

“Freak Offs were elaborate and produced sex performances that Combs arranged, directed, masturbated during, and often electronically recorded,” the newly unsealed court papers allege.

Is it a surprise the entertainment industry works so diligently to snuff out any trace of genuine religious belief?

The summer box office season ended up being down 11 percent over 2023’s summer, and let’s not forget that 2023’s summer box office wasn’t all that hot.

The 2024 summer season (defined as May’s first weekend through Labor Day) saw a domestic box office gross of $3.6 billion. That is down 11 percent from 2023 and only a smidge higher (six percent) than 2022’s $3.39 billion summer box office gross.

Reagan the Movie: How the Mainstream Media Can’t Help Itself

Critics hated it, but audiences loved it. ’nuff Said?

On Friday, I did something I hadn’t done since before COVID-19, I went and saw a movie premiere on the day it opened in an actual movie theater. With my childhood friend Susan, whom I’ve known for more than five decades—a dyed-in-the-wool conservative just like me—we went and saw Reagan. And unlike most critics on Rotten Tomatoes who rated it at 18% and elsewhere, we loved it along with a virtually unprecedented 98% of Rotten Tomato viewers.

The Hollywood liberals who rule America

Will movie stars put Kamala in the Oval Office?

My father told me that those who work in Hollywood are America’s aristocrats. Everyone else is a civilian. It was a concept that said less about how the world perceived my father than about how he perceived himself. After all, he had been nominated twice for Academy Awards. He knew Elizabeth Taylor and Frank Sinatra. Did such things not qualify him to be, in the words of the great Romantic poet Percy Shelley, an unacknowledged legislator of the world?

Is Disney Finally Learning When It Goes Woke, It Goes Broke?

When Disney goes woke, it goes broke. When it remembers its audience, however, it succeeds.

It has been a good few weeks for the Walt Disney Company. Its two most recent films are history-setting box office successes, and the company that has spent years hemorrhaging money may be seeing a light at the end of the tunnel if it takes the right lessons away from its success.
