Why was man linked to terrorist group allowed to speak at city-owned Ottawa venue?

“It amazes me. It really amazes me. I would like to know what the City of Ottawa thinks it is doing,” Josh Korn told me. The 70-year-old retired software engineer and active member of Ottawa’s Jewish community is not alone in wanting to know why a man identified by Israeli intelligence as a high-ranking member of a notorious Palestinian terrorist group was allowed to give a speech in a city-owned facility last week.

This should not “amaze” anyone. Preach multicult and diversity? Import a backwards death cult and coddle it beyond all reason? Reap what you sew.

UN Will Justify a Mirror Image of Putin’s War

The United Nations Human Rights Council’s Permanent Commission of Inquiry into Israel, due to make its initial report on June 13, has a mendacious mandate worthy of Vladimir Putin himself. Putin went to war to turn into reality his much repeated insistence that Ukraine is an illegitimate state that has no right to exist and is inseparable from the rest of Russia. Similarly, the UN mandate allows it to question the very existence of the State of Israel. Unlike all other UN inquiries, this one has no historic time limit and enables the commission to range right back to the foundation of the state. The commissioners won’t be bold enough to explicitly declare that Israel has no right to exist, but you can be certain that will be the subtext running throughout its report.

Khaled Barakat — allegedly a leader of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) terrorist organization — and his wife Charlotte Kates — a leader in the allegedly PFLP-affiliated Samidoun Palestinian Prisoners Network — are featured speakers at the International League of Peoples’ Struggle (ILPS) in Canada’s 5th assembly at the Ottawa city-owned Foster Farm Community Centre on Friday.

Diversity & multiculturalism are working as planned so no one should be surprised.

Biden Is No Friend of Israel

Nothing better illustrates the Biden administration’s deep-seated antipathy towards the State of Israel than the leaking of highly classified material about the alleged role Israeli intelligence played in the assassination of a top-ranking Iranian terrorist.

For decades, Israel and the US have enjoyed a unique intelligence-sharing relationship whereby the two countries share the most sensitive material on their respective intelligence, security and military operations.

But the deep-seated bond of trust that forms the bedrock of this vital relationship has been seriously compromised as a result of the Biden administration’s egregious decision to leak details of Israel’s alleged involvement in the killing of Colonel Sayad Khodayee, a senior commander in the Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).

Lawfare Project submits complaint regarding biased media coverage of Al Jazeera reporter’s death.

Last Thursday, The Lawfare Project, together with counsel at RE-LAW LLP, filed a complaint raising significant concerns with the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation’s (CBC) coverage of the recent death of Al Jazeera reporter Shireen Abu Aqleh.

As detailed in the complaint, the coverage presents an overwhelmingly anti-Israel portrayal of the events surrounding the death. In the Lawfare Project’s view, the CBC’s biased and erroneous reporting of the facts, coupled with a stunning lack of crucial contextual information, violates the basic principles of accuracy, fairness, balance, and impartiality, as set forth in the CBC’s Journalistic Standards and Practices and the Canadian Association of Journalists’ Principles for Ethical Journalism.

Clashes in Jerusalem as Israeli nationalists march through Muslim Quarter

Some 70,000 people marched through the Old City of Jerusalem as part of the Jerusalem Day flag march on Sunday afternoon, hours after a record 2,600 Israelis visited the Temple Mount compound on Sunday morning.

Despite threats from Hamas, Palestinian Islamic Jihad and other groups in the Gaza Strip, no rockets were fired from the Gaza Strip despite scuffles that broke out between Israelis and Palestinians in the Old City throughout the day, with several lightly injured and close to two dozen arrested by Israel Police.

Shocka! Palestinians say Israel deliberately killed Al Jazeera reporter

RAMALLAH, West Bank (AP) — The Palestinian Authority on Thursday announced the results of its investigation into the shooting death of Al Jazeera journalist Shireen Abu Akleh, saying it had proven she was deliberately killed by Israeli forces as she tried to flee.

The findings echoed the results of a preliminary investigation announced nearly two weeks ago and were widely expected. Israel is likely to reject the report as biased and unfounded.

Guards say arrests linked to Israel made after shooting of Hassan Sayad Khodayari outside his home

Iran will avenge the killing of a Revolutionary Guards colonel who was shot dead in Tehran, President Ebrahim Raisi has said.

Col Hassan Sayad Khodayari was killed on Sunday outside his home by assailants on motorcycles. Iran blamed “elements linked to the global arrogance”, its term for the US and its allies including Israel.

It was the most high-profile killing inside Iran since the November 2020 murder of nuclear scientist Mohsen Fakhrizadeh.

Western news outlets initially reported uncritically the Hamas claim that the Israelis had shot her, eagerly regurgitating Al Jazeera’s assertion that the Israelis had “assassinated” her “in cold blood.”

Shireen Abu Aqla: Palestinians to refer journalist’s killing to ICC

The Palestinian president says he will immediately refer the killing of Al Jazeera journalist Shireen Abu Aqla to the International Criminal Court (ICC).

In a speech at a remembrance service attended by thousands of people, Mahmoud Abbas declared that Israel was “fully responsible” for her death.

She was shot while covering an Israeli raid in the occupied West Bank.

Al Jazeera said Abu Aqla was killed by Israeli troops. Israel said she might have been shot by Palestinian gunmen.

The Pallies can’t be trusted, neither can the ICC.

Palestinians Lie to Murder Jews; U.S. Rewards Them

The Palestinian terrorists who used axes to murder three Israeli Jewish men in the city of Elad on May 5 have cited the recent violence at the Aqsa Mosque compound (Temple Mount) in Jerusalem as their main motivation for the attack. The violence began when Palestinian rioters attacked Israeli police officers at the compound with fireworks, stones and other objects during the Muslim fasting month of Ramadan. The goal of the rioters: to prevent Jews from conducting peaceful walking tours of the Temple Mount, as has long been officially agreed.

The rioters attacked the police because Palestinian leaders had told them that Jews were planning to “storm into the mosque” during the Jewish holidays.

IDF Chief of Staff announces investigation of death of Al Jazeera journalist, stresses soldiers came under heavy fire.

“Since the incident, the IDF has been examining the circumstances leading to the death of the journalist, Ms. Shireen Abu Akleh. The IDF offer to conduct a joint investigation with the Palestinians was not answered. The possibility that Ms. Abu Akleh died as a result of Palestinian gunfire is also being examined in light of extensive footage circulating on social media showing Palestinian gunmen firing recklessly and indiscriminately in every direction.

There’s an unseemly rush to get the poor woman buried.
