There is Bernie Madoff-level government corruption in Washington. There is Clinton Foundation-level grift in politics. And there is Anthony Weiner-level sleaze wherever the media, government and politics collide.

And then there is Hunter Biden.

Seriously, what does Hunter Biden have to do to become a scandal around here?

His European trip adds to his long record of foreign policy failure.

As Joe Biden stumbled on the world stage, spouting utter nonsense, a remark of Robert Gates, the former defense secretary under Obama, came to mind: “I think he [Biden] has been wrong on nearly every major foreign policy and national security issue over the past four decades.”

Stop me if you’ve heard this joke before.  The Russian president and the American president decide to meet up in Geneva to work out their differences.

The Russian president says, “I’m concerned for your country, sir.  The same Big Tech companies that helped rig your election by paying off election workers and manipulating the flow of information to voters are now engaged in mass censorship of half the country as they protect your grip on power.  Your corporate news people discarded any pretense of being an investigative ‘free press’ long ago and openly launder propaganda from your Intelligence Community and a small collection of multinational corporate oligarchs advancing outright lies.  They spent years blaming Hillary’s election loss on a ‘Russian dossier’ that Hillary’s own campaign created, and nobody was ever brought to justice for a lie that tore your country in two and brought ours to the brink of war. 

KINNEY COUNTY, Texas—This year’s illegal immigrants are unlike those from previous years, according to Kinney County Sheriff Brad Coe, who was also a Border Patrol agent for 31 years.

“We’re starting to see more intentional damage,” Coe told The Epoch Times. “I’ve never seen it quite like this. Somebody’s making a statement.”

He said in the past six months, illegal aliens that get past Border Patrol in the Del Rio, Texas, area are walking through ranches, destroying fences and water pipes, leaving water faucets on, and breaking into homes.

The rule of law can be serviceably defined as restricting the arbitrary exercise of power by subordinating it to well-defined and established laws. Unfortunately, politicians have learned how to subvert the rule of law by laundering their decisions through supine federal bureaucracies that interpret badly-defined laws and regulations to suit the desires of the president and his minions.

At some point this weekend, Joe Biden will take his place in a line of people approaching the altar of a Catholic church to receive communion.

The US president, a devout Catholic whose speeches regularly include biblical references and who carries a rosary that belonged to his late son, attends Mass every weekend – in Washington, his home town of Wilmington in Delaware, or wherever he happens to be traveling. If the traditional Sunday morning Eucharist service is not possible because of his schedule, he will receive the sacrament on Saturday evening as permitted by the Roman Catholic church.

In an address this week to U.S. military forces at the Royal Air Force base in Mildenhall, England, President Joe Biden tried to convince troops climate change is “the greatest threat facing America.”

Last year, the New York Times ran a front-page story on a young cheerleader who said the n-word in a viral video. Yet, today, the paper is entirely silent about the egregious and voluminous use of the same word by Joe Biden’s son, Hunter.

In December of last year, the so-called “paper of record” wrote an article praising the actions of a left-wing activist who published a video of a teenage, bi-racial cheerleader using the n-word when she was a 15-year-old girl. The video went viral, and the activist suggested that the young woman was a prime target for the cancel culture.
