American Vogue was yesterday branded absurd for suggesting the phrase ‘a niggling worry’ was racist towards Meghan Markle.
The magazine criticised a Daily Mail front page for using the words alongside Harry and Meghan’s engagement photo in 2017.
It was used in a headline to signpost to an inside article written by Sarah Vine.

But I learned quickly that they were to be scorned and derided for … well, I’m still not sure exactly what. Existing? Stealing all the good journalism jobs? Never mind that my class had exactly two white males, and 26 females.
I bet they all end up working for the CBC or the Star.

The 46th President therefore cannot be trusted to stand up to Xi on the world stage.
‘The Russians deploy kompromat as leverage over foreign assets,’ says my source. ‘Chinese agencies use something called “black materials” to extort western authority figures into doing what they want.’

The so-called “fact-checkers” in the mainstream media had a field day during the Trump administration, with the Washington Post tallying 30,573 misleading claims over the last four years.
No job was too small for the fact-checkers at CNN, the Washington Post, PolitiFact or Snopes. They dinged former President Trump for saying he had “tremendous African American support,” and that living in coronavirus locked down states was like being “in a prison.”
Now we’re in the Biden administration, these same fact-checkers have all but vanished or have been twisting themselves in knots to cover for President Joe Biden’s many misstatements and job-killing executive orders.
With Donald Trump out of office and de-platformed, you’d think mainstream media gatekeepers would be happy. You’d think wrong.
Though the media-Big Tech regime is doing its best to silence opponents and seize control of the high ground, the news from within is grim. They aren’t happy with how things are going.

Mary Kay Linge, writing in the New York Post, dishes a lot of gossip taken from the book, which is due out on February 16.

And yet for the reader, listener or viewer, it can also be deeply boring — for the simple reason that if the journalist makes clear their conclusion from the outset, there’s no chance of having a reasonable discussion. People who agree with it rejoice, those who don’t switch off. Nothing gets learned; no ideas are properly discussed.

American journalism once thought of itself as being inherently and institutionally pro free speech. Visitors to the Newseum, the media industry’s temple of self-glorification on Constitution Avenue in Washington, were once greeted with the First Amendment inscribed across 74 vertical feet of lofty marble. The Newseum has been closed since late 2019, its operators having discovered the hard way that the public doesn’t share the media’s heroic level of regard for itself.
In case you hadn’t heard, there’s a new variant of the novel coronavirus cropping up in South Africa. Of course, we’re hearing about new variants all over the world at this point, so that’s probably not all that newsworthy. Still, newly minted President Joe Biden doesn’t want to get caught flatfooted by this potential threat so he’s going to aggressively take action.
After the 1968 summer of riots, journalists, politicians, and sociologists spent many words and dollars trying to find and cure the “root cause” of the racial unrest. They failed, but eventually a solution did emerge. The root cause of riots turned out to be rioters. Peace returned to the streets once police adopted new crowd-control tactics and prosecutors cracked down on lawbreakers. Mob violence came to be recognized not as an indictment of American society but as a failure of policing.
Aside from ABC chief anchor George Stephanopoulos’s fiery exchange with Senator Rand Paul (R-KY), Sunday’s This Week was awash with ridiculous and repugnant pronouncements from their mostly liberal cast. Between suggesting America was getting over something akin to Nazism and proclaiming the extremist violence from the left was morally justified, ABC was out to normalize dangerous thoughts and behavior.
