Ireland: Tensions over refugee crisis and Dublin tent cities

Dublin – illegal alien invader camp

The center of Dublin glitters with architectural showpieces, the offices of global corporations. But there are increasingly tents at the base of the glass facades. Some of these belong to people excluded from housing, a scarcity across Ireland and simply unaffordable for many people in the booming capital. The housing crisis is the dominant topic in Ireland right now. When he took office as taoiseach, or Ireland’s head of government, in April, Simon Harris promised to provide 250,000 new homes by the end of the decade.

‘Demographic Shock’ of Immigration Intensifying Affordable House Crisis: Bank

The “demographic shock” of mass immigration is aggravating Canada’s affordable housing problem, the National Bank of Canada says in a new report.

Canada’s working-age population—people aged 15 and older—increased by more than 100,000 in April alone, bringing total population growth to more than 410,000 in the first four months of 2024, according to the May 15 “Hot Charts“ published by National Bank Financial, Inc. (NBF), a subsidiary of the National Bank of Canada, Canada’s sixth-largest commercial bank.

Trudeau lies out of both sides of his mouth on mass immigration scam

Canada Needs Path to Citizenship for Undocumented Immigrants While Speeding Up Deportations, Trudeau says

There needs to be a path to citizenship for undocumented Canadian immigrants, while in other cases deportation proceedings must be “accelerated,” says Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.

“There needs to be … a pathway towards regularization and citizenship which I know [Immigration Minister Mark Miller] is working on. In some cases we need to accelerate deportation proceedings,” Mr. Trudeau said during a press conference on May 17.

“There’s a balance in making sure that the integrity of our immigration system holds.”

That lying prick is destroying Canada through his mass immigration scam.

Why Affordable Housing Policies Have Failed

Canada now plays host to 807,750 foreign students770,000 temporary workers, and 500,000 new immigrants being admitted annually. As a group, they represent mass immigration. Most of these people settle and are concentrated in a few parts of Canada, nowhere more so than southern Ontario and southern BC. Their numbers are rising annually and the 500,000 new immigrants drove our population over 40 million this year. We have the fastest growing population in the Group of Seven (G7). Since 2002, immigration, excluding students and temporary workers, has totalled 5.9 million.

Chris Alexander: I am a former immigration minister. Unsustainable population increases won’t solve Canada’s underlying issues

In March, the Globe and Mail reported that Canada’s population had grown by 1.3 million in 2023—the largest annual increase on record.

This surge was driven by higher numbers of immigrants, international students, temporary foreign workers, and asylum claimants.

Given that the 2021 census showed that 8.3 million Canadians, or 23 percent of our population, had an immigrant background, this latest increase means that, in a Canada of over 40 million people, one in four of us is a temporary or permanent resident, or was born abroad. This proportion of newcomers is the highest since Confederation, beating the previous record of 22.3 percent set in 1921. By comparison, the immigrant share of the U.S. population is today about 14 percent.

Lack of operational control at northern border poses national security threats

Greatest number of terrorist watch list individuals being apprehended at northern border

(The Center Square) – The northern border largely has been unmanned and understaffed for decades as federal reports issue conflicting conclusions about how much, or how little, operational control exists.

Some officials have suggested the U.S. Department of Homeland Security has just 1% operational control over the northern border after a 2019 General Accounting Office audit of U.S. Customs and Border northern border operations. But a December 2022 DHS report claimed, “The Border Patrol is better staffed today than at any time in its 87-year history,” noting no surveillance of extensive parts of the northern border existed prior to 9/11.

Joe Oliver: A principled Canada would protect its Jews

… In Canada, as elsewhere, Israel’s enemies target it with unhinged ferocity. Too many decent people don’t recognize that this vilification is unjustified and one-sided because it’s been normalized by an accommodating establishment and mainstream media. Moral clarity was always an endangered species in the Middle Eastern conflict.

A principled Canada would protect it’s Jews? Really?

Would that be the principled Canada of Jews for Gaza?

Would that be the principled Canada of Bernie Farber’s CAHN?

Would that be the principled Canada that has demonized White people through DEI and CRT for the past decade?

Would that be the principled Canada of fake mass graves and burning churches?

Would that be the principled Canada that force marched us down the one way street of multiculturalism and diversity while denigrating our nation as founded on genocide?

Would that be the principled Canada whose elites have flooded the nation with incompatible immigrant cultures yet demands that we bigots learn to be tolerant?

Would that be the principled Canada that declares White supremacism a major threat while allowing multiple imported ethnic conflicts to be fought out in our streets?

Would that be the principled Canada that smeared you as a racist for daring to point out the folly of Mass Islamist immigration?

Would that be the principled  Canada where some of the same super tolerant blowhards who called us Islamophobes are suddenly the most enthusiastic of Islamophobes?

Would that be the principled Canada whose security services play down the threat of Muslim terrorism to please their political masters?

Would that be the principled Canada where identity politics is so out of hand that they appointed an Islamophobia Tsar who doubles as an Hamas cheerleader?

Would that be the principled Canada where the Mayor of Toronto declares a ceremonial flag raising “divisive”?

Would that be the principled Canada where most of the government media is as suspect as Press TV?

You see I’m a little confused. I consider myself to be a decent person even if I am one of those Islamophobic Demon Whites this country’s elites hate so fucking much so I’m more than a little surprised you’re asking for my help.

PS. That principled Canada you refer to is a thing of the past. Our principled elites trashed it or have you forgotten?

America’s Unprotected Class

Three years ago, the left-wing mayor of a Budapest district oversaw the erection of a statue in honor of the U.S. Black Lives Matter movement. When journalists asked her for the point of putting up a monument to BLM, given that Hungary has very few black people, the politician said, “The BLM goals of opposing racism and police brutality are just as relevant in Hungary as anywhere else.”

The unusual Budapest statue (which was destroyed quickly after it was erected) was but one of hundreds of pro-BLM European demonstrations following the death of George Floyd. American racial conflicts have a way of going global in the age of worldwide mass media, as if left-wing crowds in Britain and continental Europe were connected by a central nervous system.

Immigration protest on P.E.I. could turn into hunger strike, organizer warns

Some immigrant workers are prepared to go on a hunger strike if the P.E.I. government doesn’t reverse some recent changes to who gets preference under the Provincial Nominee Program, says one of the people behind the daily protests in Charlottetown.

Rupinder Pal Singh said they are giving the province until May 16 to meet their demands, which include extending work permits for immigrants who are already here, working and hoping for permanent residency.

No one loses any weight on these hunger strikes!

The Man Whose Musings Fuel Elon Musk’s Nightmares

Elon Musk’s bedtime routine is giving him nightmares.

To hear him in public is to catalog a running list of his greatest fears: end-of-the-world type stuff, killer AI threats and, in recent years, the scourge of what he calls the Woke Mind Virus.

“I listen to podcasts about the fall of civilizations to go to sleep,” Musk said this past week during an appearance at the Milken Institute conference. “So perhaps that might be part of the problem.”

One provocateur, in particular, has caught his attention of late: Gad Saad, a marketing professor at Concordia University in Montreal, and author of the book “The Parasitic Mind: How Infectious Ideas Are Killing Common Sense.”

Saad wants a better immigration policy for his Canada, one that requires a hard look at whether Islamist migrants should be included at all. That’s not a bad thing.

I doubt we would be welcomed in his circles however.

He is on the public record seeking a meeting with Poilievre to discuss immigration policy. If it happens I bet it will be behind closed doors and will not change Poilievre’s approach to mass immigration which when compared to Trudeau’s amounts to “Same, Same, Different.” Poilievre needs to run the same identity politics playbook as Trudeau to get elected. Under normal circumstances I believe Poilievre would lose the upcoming election to Junior. However Trudeau has shot himself in the head with the housing and affordability crisis so all Poilievre has to do is keep his finger off the trigger and speak of immigration in only the most harmless of generalities if at all.

Musk as we know is an opportunist currently riding the populist wave. He is a rent seeker extraordinaire albeit an entertaining one. Do not trust him, what you see is this year’s model.

Former Liberal ministers urge Trudeau to drop rare good idea

Former Liberal ministers urge Trudeau to drop plans to house migrants in federal prisons

Two former Liberal cabinet ministers are urging the Trudeau government to cancel its plans to start using federal prisons to hold immigration detainees, citing a recent inquest recommendation to end the practice of detaining migrants in jails.

Lloyd Axworthy, a former foreign affairs minister, and Allan Rock, who was a justice minister, have joined a chorus of 85 Canadian and international organizations opposing the spring budget’s proposal to use federal prisons to detain “high-risk” migrants after all 10 provinces said they were ending their agreements to hold them in their facilities.

Decrease number of temporary residents by making them permanent, fucking idiot of a federal immigration minister suggests

MONTREAL — One way Canada plans to shrink the number of temporary residents is to offer them the opportunity to remain permanently, the immigration minister said Friday, but that doesn’t mean everyone who wants to stay will be able to.

Marc Miller met with his provincial and territorial counterparts for the first time since he announced an unprecedented plan to set limits on the number of new temporary residents.

Brampton had up to 80 private ‘diploma mill’ colleges ‘using international students as an ATM

It seems rare when all three levels of government in Canada agree these days, but one such issue — at least in Brampton — is curbing so-called “diploma mill” colleges.

In January, federal Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Minister Marc Miller announced a two-year cap on new student visas starting this fall. Miller said the decision was, at least in part, aimed at eradicating private post-secondary educational institutions he described as “the diploma equivalent of puppy mills” and “fly-by-night operations and backdoor entries into Canada” with dubious academic standards.
