Seeking diversity, feds add inclusive language to application process for judges

OTTAWA – The Canadian government is making changes to the questionnaire prospective judges must fill out before applying for a federal judicial appointment.

The change is intended make the questionnaire more respectful by adding inclusive language for people to “self-identify diversity characteristics.”

Critics have argued Canada’s judiciary lacks diversity.

The questionnaires are a primary tool used by judicial advisory committees across the country to review candidates for the bench and submit recommendations to the minister of Justice.

Whether the fake boobs teacher was a hoax or not it shows where the power lies

Last week there was internet uproar at the discovery that a male teacher in Ontario goes to work wearing breasts so huge they’d be absurd by the standards of a seaside postcard.

Photographs of this individual, known as “Kayla Lemieux”, were reportedly leaked by students uncomfortable with the situation. The fake breasts are indeed so gargantuan, and the nipples so prominent, that it’s difficult to see how anyone could wear them except as either fetish gear or a prank.

Space Force Promotes ‘White Rage’

“Only whites can be racist.”

“Over 200 years ago, Britain’s King George III was forced to accept a Declaration of Independence from former white subjects residing as immigrants in what was to become the United States of America,” reads a paragraph from a book on the Space Force’s reading list.

“Race Talk and the Conspiracy of Silence” by Derald Wing Sue condemns the “hypocrisy” of the Founding Fathers and claims that the United States “was formed from the fabric of racial oppression, domination and discrimination.”

It’s hard to imagine the Space Force doing anything less patriotic short of defecting to China.

John Robson: Gap Between ‘Social Justice Warrior’ and ‘Warrior’ Sums Up Canadian Military’s Recruiting Crisis

It doesn’t seem so long ago that you could say “social justice” bears the same relationship to “justice” as “social worker” does to “worker,” and warn that integrating female soldiers into front-line combat would devastate military effectiveness. Nowadays such things are taboo. But the Canadian military’s recruiting crisis suggests a lingering gap between “social justice warrior” and “warrior.”

Defence is the first duty of government. Without it nothing else matters, not even civil liberties, because of the old rule that there will be an army in your country, so it better be yours. And Canada’s armed forces are far too small.

Get Involved at All Levels to Displace ‘Woke’ Influence, Poilievre Tells Conservatives

RED DEER, Alberta—Conservative Party Leader Pierre Poilievre says Canadians on the right of the political spectrum should start getting involved locally and in different spheres of society to displace what he calls the “woke left.”

“We need conservatives on school boards, local governments, business leadership, the law, academia and other places where the woke left has been dominating for far too long,” Poilievre said in a short speech delivered by video during the Canada Strong and Free Networking Conference in Red Deer, Alberta, on Sept. 24.

Forget wokery and fight crime, Suella Braverman orders police

The home secretary has told police chiefs to prioritise “common-sense policing” and stop focusing on “symbolic gestures”.

Suella Braverman sent a letter to senior policing figures last night, telling them to reverse the perception that officers care more about “woke” issues than tackling crime.

Braverman said the public had a perception that police officers spent too much time on “symbolic gestures” rather than tackling crime.

Rex Murphy: A classroom is no place for wearing massive prosthetic breasts

The appearance of a transgender teacher from Oakville, Ont., who went viral on social media and has since received international attention, is, to be very kind, perplexing in the extreme. Regardless of one’s psychological or political disposition (identity is very political these days), it cannot be consistent with simple notions of appropriateness and professional dignity to take to a classroom of high school students wearing mammoth prosthetic breasts and a tight-fitting shirt.

Woke is the new mass hysteria.

Now Dilbert is racist! Canned by 77 newspapers after artist Scott Adams began incorporating anti-woke plotlines

Now Dilbert is racist! Popular comic strip is canned by 77 newspapers after artist Scott Adams began incorporating anti-woke plotlines, including black character who identifies as white

A popular comic strip has been canned by 77 newspapers after its creator Scott Adams started incorporating anti-woke plotlines, including a character black that identifies as white.

Adams’ much-loved ‘Dilbert’ comics have been in circulation since 1989 and frequently poke fun at office culture, but he announced he was sensationally dropped by publisher Lee Enterprises.

The media company owns nearly 100 newspapers across the country – including The Buffalo News, St. Louis Post-Dispatch, and the Arizona Daily Sun – and has been publishing Adams’ jokes about the corporate ladder for years.

Canadian teacher laughably claims basic math equations are a form of ‘white supremacy’

A Canadian teacher from Ontario made the bizarre claim that basic mathematical equations such as 2+2=4 is somehow a form of “white supremacy.”

Heather Theijsmeijer, who serves as a math coordinator in Ontario, recently posted on Twitter, “There are many math education practices that we (white folk) don’t see as racist or supremacist.”

“Because they are so ingrained in our background and experiences (and we have been the ones to benefit from them.)”

Bill Maher warns woke schools’ critical race theory lessons and insistence on keeping students’ ‘sex changes’ secret from parents is driving liberal voters to Trump

Bill Maher says that woke schools’ lessons on critical race theory and decisions to conceal transgender students’ new identities from their parents are driving liberal voters into the arms of Donald Trump and the Republican party.

During a discussion screened Friday with Trace Adkins, Julia Ioffe, and John Meacham, Maher stated that his two biggest issues when it comes to voting are democracy and the environment.

He admitted that he doesn’t have children but said his friends who do have kids ‘don’t like it when they come home and say they divided the class today into oppressors and oppressed.’

Trying to Prove You’re Not a Racist

Since I started writing this newsletter, once about every couple of weeks I have received a missive from someone troubled by a controversy involving race, usually in the workplace.

These readers feel that their opponents in these fusses are unfairly tarring them as racist. Typical disputes they find themselves embroiled in include whether a school program should devote itself centrally to antiracism, whether it is fair to hire people ranking skin color over qualifications, whether reparations for slavery in a local context are appropriate and what they should consist of, and whether a piece of art should be deemed racist.
