In normal circumstances, US policymakers would see the humiliation Russian President Vladimir Putin has suffered following the aborted mutiny against his administration as an opportunity to exploit the Kremlin’s weakness.
Russia, after all, still possesses the world’s largest stockpile of nuclear weapons, and Putin has on several occasions made specific reference to the possibility that Moscow might resort to using them when warning about the dangers of American interference in the Ukraine conflict.

The Democrats are masters of holding on to all power long after they should
One of the most reliable standards in international comedy has long been the outstanding ineloquence of American politicians. In this place I recently summoned up the golden memory of Dan Quayle. But if you look at the record, there was similar — far less justified — tittering at Ronald Reagan. Closer to our own time comedians and others had much fun with George W. Bush, Donald Trump and indeed almost everybody who has ever risen to the top of the Republican Party.
President Biden on Thursday wandered off the set of a live television interview on MSNBC before the show even cut to a commercial break.
With the cameras still rolling, Biden got out of his chair, shook hands with host Nicolle Wallace and awkwardly walked away after she thanked the 80-year-old president for granting her a rare interview.

… Asked to what extent Putin was weakened by the rebellion, Mr Biden said: “It’s hard to tell, but he is clearly losing the war in Iraq, he’s losing the war at home and he has become a bit of a pariah around the world.”

A new poll out Sunday suggests that more than two-thirds of Americans are concerned that President Biden lacks the necessary mental and physical health to be president — and more than half of them describe those concerns as “major.”

Let’s suppose for a moment that you are running for president and your chief rival just got indicted.
What should your response be?

Independent swing voters think that Joe Biden’s age and health are impacting his ability to serve as president, with nearly half of all surveyed saying these factors are ‘severely limiting’ the chief executive.
With increased verbal gaffes, mumbles and physical fumbles – including actually falling to the ground during commencement at the Air Force Academy last week – Americans are expressing concern over the 80-year-old president who is running for reelection.
A new Economist/YouGov poll conducted June 3-6 shows 48 percent of independent voters think Biden’s age and declining health ‘severely limits’ him, and only 8 percent of this same voting bloc think that his age isn’t a factor.

President Biden’s dramatic fall at the Air Force Academy commencement underlined a dangerous theme for Democrats: Joe Biden is too old to serve another full term, until he’s 86. He’s already struggling at 80.
Three years ago, The New York Times rushed into raising “health questions” for President Trump when he “hesitantly descended” a ramp at the West Point commencement. On Sunday, The Times tippy-toed into the Biden problem in a front-page article titled “Spry Diplomat with Stiff Gait: Aging Leader’s Complex Reality.”

The Biden administration’s constant dithering over supplying weapons to Ukraine is proving to be a decisive factor in the Ukrainian military’s decision to delay its long-awaited spring counter-offensive against Russian forces.
Since the end of last year, when the Ukrainians inflicted a series of humiliating defeats against their Russian foes, Kyiv has been warning that it is in urgent need of fresh supplies of military equipment from its Western allies if it is to continue its campaign to liberate Ukrainian territory from Russian occupation.
In particular, the Ukrainians say they are in urgent need of replacements of tanks and other heavy armour, long-range missiles and aircraft – including F-16 fighters.

As headlines about the frosty relationship between China and the United States are dominated by spy balloons, Taiwan and botched attempts at diplomacy, commanders in the Pentagon are increasingly worried by a more insidious threat: Beijing’s growing stronghold on Latin America.
From tens of billions of dollars in funding for key infrastructure projects across the region to its own secretive, military-run space station in Argentina that could target American satellites, China’s presence has grown.
Some 21 countries in Latin America are signed up to Beijing’s Belt and Road Initiative – a defining policy introduced by President Xi Jinping in 2013 that wins power and influence by funding global infrastructure projects.

Joe Biden is a born political panderer. It’s how he won the Democratic Party nomination, and it played a large role in his victory over Donald Trump.
Telling people what they want to hear is a political skill that most politicians possess. But there may never have been a politician as adept and skilled as Joe Biden in pandering to voters based on their race, their gender, their sexual identity, or any other aspect of their personhood that can be sliced, diced, and pureed to create a message tailor-made for a particular Democratic constituency.

We’ve all long known the real issue: his steady cognitive decline.
Much has been written about the remarkably large percentage of Americans who don’t want President Joe Biden to run for a second term. Most of the commentariat, however, tiptoes around the obvious reason they want him to retire after one term. When they can’t avoid discussing Biden’s bizarre behavior and weird maundering, most pundits hide behind vague allusions to his age, but the public has long known that the real problem is his steady cognitive decline.
